this is not just any other hotel stay. These are people of golden hearts who would treat you as family. they will shower you with love and affection and they will open there hearts and arms for you. I am frequent traveller, and never in my life I experienced anything like this. The facility is well equipped, it serves lavish and scrumptious food and what ever you need, they will go an extra mile to ensure you get it. Super nice location and very friendly and helpful stuff! They organized a camel tour to watch the sunset and as an extra we got a short but extreme desert 4×4 ride for only 150mad per person!. Dinner was traditional, but very tasty and filling! The desert is very close to the hotel and the pool offers a great view. Recommend 10/10

When we got to the room there were no towels, also the window in the bathroom was left open and there was a lot of sand everywhere. We understand that it is close to the desert and it did not cause us any inconvenience, but there was really a lot of sand.

The view from the pool is amazing. The rooms itself are new and spacious and well equipped. The hotel isn't near a city center but you get a place next to the dunes of the Sahara in return and a very quiet environment too relax. Ideal place after a night in the dessert for example

Not sure if it was due to circumstances or if it's just hotel policy, but the food wasn't a la carte. However they asked us what we had eaten earlier in the week and what we liked and disliked and then they served us a 3 course meal in the evening, which was ok. Be aware that they are in progress of improving/making the rooms , so it's a work in progress, but don't let it frighten you, because the things that are finished are top quality.

Comfy beds! Probably the best sleep we had in Morocco. Friendly staff that treat you like family. Never felt so welcome. Berber pizza for lunch. The Pool looks out into the desert. So relaxing day and night. Yummy breakfast, I’d love how it was buffet style! So you could enjoy as much or as little as you wanted.

Having to leave. Need to stay for longer next time. Wi-Fi sometimes a little slow sometimes but wasn’t the worst as I wasn’t going on holiday to spend my time on internet, haha. If you need a fast connection. Mobile data was so fast and cheap with a e-sim. We used holafly.

My girlfriend and I had a great stay at this place. The decoration is extraordinary, the view incredible, very close to the dunes, so it was easy to explore. The food was fantastic, excellent price and each meal came with starter and desert included. Honestly, it was the best couscous we had in the whole of Morroco. We loved the pool, necessary considering the heat. We also booked a stay in a desert camp through the hotel and it was an excellent experience with 5 course meal and camel trek included. It was great value and a unique experience. It would be better to book your desert camp with a hotel like this one and clarify what is included. Be aware of other suspiciously cheap desert camps that you see on booking. Finally, the owner was so nice to drop us off at the grand taxi Station in Merzouga for our return. Overall, this is a very luxurious stay where you will be treated very well. We really loved our stay at this hotel and also their camp

Before arrival, whilst consulting about the booking there was some strange and confusing communication with some of the hotel staff maybe due to language barriers. However, during our stay we felt very welcomed by the whole staff at the hotel.

To start with, the host offered us an upgrade to a family "desert hut" which was way beyond our expectations. The interiors and the sleeping arrangements were like a 5-star hotel with lots of cars to every detail. We reached after sunset (in dark).. so it was a pleasant surprise to wake up with sand dunes view through windows.. pretty strange feeling but nice one. The host is very calm and friendly to every guest and always taking good care. The people working around are very polite and "happy to help" sort. Breakfast was typical I would say from our Morocco trip till now.. but it was perfect for a fresh start in the morning. Camel rides, camp dinner with music was also organized by the host. Watching sunset across the huge heap of sand dunes was the highlight of this trip. Thanks a lot from our family.

Probably the long journey from Marrakesch but Merzouga and Kasbah Le berger is worth every bit of the travel.

We booked 2 rooms for our family of 4 and were given a large suite with 5 beds. So it was very spacious. The first day the weather was pretty calm and the kiddos really enjoyed the pool. Most of the next day we had to stay inside due to the sand storm. We had to go outside to access the main area of the hotel and the parking lot. Not that fun in a sand storm :p. breakfast was pretty good.

Very small issue. There wasn’t a lot of details provided for the direction to the hotel. We took a few wrong turns, but eventually found it after about 15 mins.

The staff was nice. The room was warm, it was nice, since it was winter. The beds were comfortable. We took a tour with the 4x4 with our 2 year old and it was really nice. The view from the place is awesome, dunes just couple of meters away. We extended our stay for one day, because it was nice.

The breakfast could be improved, but the last day it was great, more options and also eggs.

Very friendly personnel, good breakfast (simple buffet), Moroccan style lunch and dinner can be ordered and was good. Fridge with cool drinks in the dining area. Prices ok. The rooms are simple but good and clean. The air condition did not manage to cooler the room down to the adjusted level, but it was a relief to have a “cool” room with 30°C when outside in the shade its 44 and in the sun above 53... May be better not too cool for not getting sick. Outside shade is needed – the palms are growing, but still need some time. Important - we have been there End of July knowing that it will be very hot!

The pool had greenish water - those who have a pool themselves know that chlorine tablets are missing.

Loved our stay at Kasbah du Berger! Lovely spacious air conditioned rooms, great food, swimming pool! Didn't need to leave the hotel for anything except for the treks to the sand dunes, which you can see from the property and are a couple of minutes away on foot. We reached out to the hotel to help us with transport from Ouarzazate to Merzouga and then from Merzouga and Fes, and they arranged a great driver for those two days at a very good price, who also stopped at cool spots for photos. We also booked a couple of camel treks, and they were fun and again, really well priced. The pool was cold, which was pretty amazing to have at 44C! Book your stay if you are still hesitating, you will be taken really good care of here!
