This hotel really lives up to its 5 star status. The pool area was amazing. The rooms were extremely spacious and the interior was very nice. The staff, like most Moroccans we met during our holiday, were very friendly and accomodating. The gym in the hotel was decent and the prices in the spa, along with the food, was very reasonable.

I thought the hotel looks closer to the beach in the photos, but the hotel is situated on a hill about 20 minutes walk from the beach. As the hotel is on a hill, the views of Taghazout Bay are class, and the hotel provides regular enough shuttle buses to and from the Hyatt Regency Hotel, which is located 5 minutes away, and is next to the beach.

As we lay on pool-chairs beneath the hot Moroccan sun, my wife, Aaron, proclaimed that this is the most relaxed she's felt since that time she fell asleep in a vat of almond butter at the Pip's factory back in 2004. The staff went over and above to ensure we were comfortable. The room was bigger than my house, and had great facilities, for example the screen-sharing capabilities on the TV, allowing my wife and I stream the YouTube from my telephone, and watch highlight compilations of Joe Biden falling over on television. They had Nutella crepes; as Aaron said "yum yum yum".

The room service is not 24/7 like we had been lead to believe, so if you are arriving late, or perhaps are just after a late night snack while watching your YouTube videos on the television, I suggest pre-organising a meal with Muhammad, or Muhammad, or Mehdi, or any of the other amazing and helpful staff. One other issue is that they like to blast loud, and my wife Aaron's opinion, bad music all day. Instead of royalty free Ed Sheeran covers, may I suggest just playing 'Not Like Us' by Kendrick Lamar on repeat? It's a great song.

The location was perfect because we had a rental car. Otherwise it would have been a bit remote for us. Everything was perfect, staff had good English, bed was very comfortable, room was quiet and everything was clean.

When going down to the beach, we got access to the private beach of the Hyatt Regency, but we had to walk past the lovely sun loungers only available for the Regency guests and arrived at some not so lovely seclusion for the Hyatt Place guests. If it is the same hotel chain, why make us feel so obviously second class on the beachfront where the sand and the sea is the same for everyone?

We stay here every year when we visit friends living locally. It’s in a good location and the building is very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and its view is stunning. The spa is lovely and I always have a treatment whilst I stay.

On our 1st visit it was immaculate and all the decoration, carpets and outside were well kept. On our 3rd annual visit the room had marks on the carpets and on walls and there were some broken tiles around the pool and it needed some maintenance and updating. Also were not asked to leave card details at reception on check in to charge things to our room during our stay so after dinner one night a staff member came to our room with a card reader to ask for payment immediately and we were undressed which was not very good. I paid in cash round the door half dressed and left the card the next day. I tried to call reception from the room phone and it did not work. They did not give me the change from this payment.

Good number of staff, rooms are comfortable, hotel is peaceful that’s why we have returned a few times. Special mention to Laila, Mohammed and Rihab at the front desk for always being helpful and on point. Housekeeper Latifa and waitstaff El Mehdi, Said and Reda are very smart and kind people. All the chefs for the morning breakfast are amazing too. They should all be proud of how they represent themselves personally, professionally and their country.

Not much to dislike, overall a positive experience, one minor critique is to maybe have a few more people doing the omelette stand in the mornings, I’ve noticed it can get quite busy sometimes taking 20 minutes + for a breakfast omelette which was a bit annoying but very minor. This is obviously a management decision that management should correct, the chefs are at no fault, they are making the omelettes as fast as they can tirelessly in the heat.

Very chilled stay, with all amenities we needed for a short break in the sun. Beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet (included in the room rate) was great. And we had the dinner buffet every night too (as having tried it the first night, felt is was good value for DM330 per person, and the food was really good quality.

It was further from the beach that we'd expected (we thought we'd be able to walk it). But the regular shuttle buses were good. The air con control in our room didn't seem to work so the room was cool, but not as cold as we'd have liked.

The villa was huge, much larger than noted in the description and also had a full size kitchen which was discribed as a 'Mini-bar'. The villa was also cleaned daily which we didn't expect. The pool was lovely and had plenty of beds and seating around the pool. The restaurant was also very nice with plenty of space for everyone. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definately recomend it.

The hotel is showing signs of its age, which is not terrible but it seems the maintenance is not very good. there were broken and missing tiles in the villa pool, there were broken and missing tiles around the main pool and some of the tables in the restaurant were very wobbly. To be honest i think that this was a theme we found in the different places we stayed in Morocco but i thought Hyatt might have better standards. Also maybe there could be a better choice for food as the breakfast and dinner options remained the same which could be boring if we stayed for 2 weeks.

It was very new and clean and smart, if a bit ‘soulless’

It was a way from anywhere and ideally you need a car if you want to explore (although didn’t use the free shuttle to the beach). I had to wait for my room on arrival but was upgraded to compensate. However, the air con was faulty and fixed at 24 degrees - they sent someone to fix it in the evening but I had to call reception again at 1am as it was still at 23 degrees and I couldn’t sleep. They said there was nothing they could do till the morning (when they did fix it properly). There was also a smell of drains in the room - not horrendous but noticeable. The prices were equivalent to a similar hotel anywhere in the world (ie London prices) despite staff costs etc being much lower but that is just the plague of big brand hotels.

Spacious room with all amenities - very quiet surroundings - nice patio area - Restaurant - seating inside and outside - table size for four people of a generous size - breakfast was superb with so much choice and importantly catered for Gluten free options. Pools nice size with ample sunbeds - nice pool bar and restaurant options by pool - free towel service Staff - excellent - so friendly and helpful - Complex - well kept with numerous garden areas

Alcohol - no zero option beers at bars but available to purchase from the Market Shop - would suggest they stock zero options next to the alcohol options
