I travel a lot. Here, I found large clean rooms in a very friendly, indeed super friendly, hotel. There's lots of space and at weekends it comes alive as locals come in to lunch and dine and the pool is filled with kids. I stayed for 12 days on a work trip and was very happy there. I can definitely recommend it.

The dining options (ie., the menu) is pretty limited by almost any other comparable standard, and the options for vegetarians are, I have to say, poor. I'm veg, I stuck it out for 12 days, but really, how many times should I have to eat vegetarian pizza for dinner? Clearly, they have their formula, and so no feedback from one user will change that, but if you are food oriented, I'd look elsewhere.

Generally speaking fine business hotel. Nice staff, nice pool (too cold as usual in Africa even in the warm season when I was there, but once adapted, very nice ;), decent breakfast. Oh an very rare but excellent - when I asked for a decent coffee - cappuccino in my case - at brekky, I did not only get one, but for free. Most hotels make you pay for that, but this hotel knows how to make customers happy! Would the hotel be suited for a holiday stay? Well, yes, but I'd say only as starting point for a Namibia holiday. Namibia is an amazing country with very friendly and helpful citizens, but that's all outside Windhoek. Windhoek itself takes at most a day to see, there's really nothing overly exciting there - but this hotel is great to arrive and acclimatise - and then go out and enjoy this fantastic country!

Solve the naming and location confusion please :) I booked in the Mercure hotel, but then had to walk across for the Mövenpick hotel (horrible name anyway, it's also an ice-cream brand - but I guess this chain name works to attract Germans :), to find in my room everywhere that it is the Safari-something hotel. Amusing, but I'd say better branding would help ;) But if that was all my critique, then it's not a big issue clearly!

The pool at the mercure was really nice and maintained well. All the staff were really friendly and the pizza from the pizza oven at the restaurant at Safari court were really nice, reasonably priced. The food was also delicious that we had poolside too. Rooms were comfy and a large size. Love there was full length mirrors. We returned here after our safari as we enjoyed it. The staff, Ronaldo and the lady whose daughter is called blessing, sorry can’t remember her name, both staff were lovely and a real credit to the restaurant. Ronaldo had an incredible memory.

I loved the location of the Hotel, you have access to almost everywhere, the Bed was comfortable. we visited during the summer, the heater in the room was very helpful. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. also, quick to solve any issue I had.

I wish the pool were heated would have been nice to swim.

Because the Mercure was under renovations, I was given a room in Movenpick, which is in the same complex. The room was great, spacious and wonderful, the staff was kind and amazing, the breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect

Love the size of the room, very spacious and lots of mirrors which is handy for 2 women sharing a room to get ready. The pool was a lovely space. The food was excellent, we had lunch by the pool, pizza for tea with their pizza oven and breakfast, all great value and taste. Actually really impressed. All staff we encountered were lovely too.

The room was very nice. The meals were nice and the bar was cozy.

However, on my first day I was told my room did not include breakfast. I enquired from the reception and I was told breakfast was included.

The rooms are very good, spacious, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff at reception. Room view excellent....their bathrooms clean. Hotel location.......PERFECT

Their breakfast was really disappointing, food not prepared well, staff not very helpful or rather slow in attending to guest needs (Kitchen staff) Safari Hotel really needs to look into and improve on their breakfast menus and chefs. Most of the dustbins in the rooms and bathrooms were broken or not working properly. Otherwise I had a great stay.

It's so easy to locate. Thank you so much for the efficiency when both checking in and out. Keep up the good work!

Kindly allow the Taxis for both pick up and drop off,its quite a distance from the main to accommodation, taking into account when the weather is not friendly.

The rooms were clean and neat.

There was no running water at some point. They should invest in tanks/reservoirs.
