After two months of traveling, I finally found a place where I could truly rest. Karuna feels like home, calm, welcoming and full of kind people. I had barely finished breakfast and my room was already clean! The hotel is perfectly located with everything close by, yet it still feels peaceful and grounded. I loved all the eco-friendly details, from organic products and reduced plastic to mineral water in glass carafes and handmade solid soaps and shampoos. The happy hour with local tastings was the cherry on top. I left with a full heart, sad to go but so grateful for the precious moment spent here

Review We stayed at Hotel Karuna for 2 nights before our trek and 4 nights after our trek and we really loved it here! We had a family room (2 adults, 2 kids) which was clean, spacious and quiet. Shower was hot and never ran out of warm water, even if all 4 of us took a shower. The staff (both male and female) is so friendly and calm and they seem confident in their work and are a really happy and good team together. I mention this because in other hotels I’ve often seen one person bossing other around. The staff can help with booking busses, jeeps etc (we took one to Ghandruk to start our Annapurna trek). If you go trekking you can leave the luggage you don’t need in their storage room safely. There is also a laundry service (very handy when you come back!). Breakfast was lovely: yoghurts, fruits, toast, waffles, Nepali food etc. Everything was very fresh and locally sourced where possible. Coffee was made fresh for everyone in the morning and the masala tea was also delicious. The lounge of the hotel is very big with lots of different places to sit and relax. Also good place to work (fast internet, plugs available), read (they have books), play some boardgames or socialise with other travellers. In the afternoon you can try Nepali snacks on donation basis (whatever you think its worth). The room gets cleaned every day if you want, fresh towels etc. The location was perfect for us: a quiet street but very close to the main street in Lakeside. Many good restaurants around. I would 100% recommend this place to others and hope to return one day with my family. Thank you hotel Karuna ❤️.

Our stay at Hotel Karuna in Pokhara was very pleasant. We were given a room that perfectly matched the description - clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and we even had the pleasure of meeting the owner’s wife, who was exceptionally kind and helpful. Her advice on navigating Pokhara during New Year’s festivities was invaluable. The breakfast served at the hotel was delightful, especially the pancakes, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The lobby area was also a lovely space to relax and unwind. Overall, Hotel Karuna provided a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pokhara.

A lovely little hotel right in Lakeside, just a few steps from the main tourist area, but located in a quiet side street. The place is beautifully kept and has a very nice, relaxing atmosphere. The staff are amazing, and it is obvious that a lot of love goes into this little hotel. Room was comfortable and spacious enough and kept meticulously clean. Our 4th flloor room had a beautiful view of Fishtail mountain when the weather was clear. What sets this hotel apart, was the lovely, relaxed atmosphere thay made you feel right at home. A highly recommended stay!

It was not an issue for us, but note that the hotel does not have an elevator. But the better view far outweighs a few flights of stairs!

It's a charming and stylish hotel not far from the lakeside. The room was spacious, with big windows and a mountain view. The hotel staff was very helpful in all matters. They provide free drinking water machines on all floors. The breakfast was delicious, and they make you quality coffee every morning - we greatly appreciate it!

There were few power cuts and wifi wasn't very stable. I guess it's normal in Nepal. Also, the street side can be noisy, so if you prefer more quiet staying, ask for a room with a view to the inner yard (but no mountain view then).

Nice breakfast with yummy waffles! Good pour over coffee and choices of fresh juices for an extra charge. Lovely afternoon "happy hour" with local Nepali snacks. Nice lobby area and fantastic staff! Simple hotel but comfortable beds and pillows and good location.

Next to a preschool which is noisy during the daytime on that side of the hotel. Wish there had been some choice of complimentary juice on the breakfast buffet.

The hotel is beautiful inside, you are met with a friendly smile when you enter. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay great. The rooms are clean with a lovely balcony and the rooftop available. We actually changed our plans a bit so we could stay 1 extra night as it has been by far the best hotel we have stayed in Nepal and the value for money is excellent. The breakfast was delicious with a range of foods. Would 100% recommend

This is the best place we ever stayed in Nepal. Very Europian and high standard of everything. Beautiful bathroom. AC also.. And hotel is Eco friendly which is nice! Super lovely staff at all the time specially the morning and night shifts ♡ we stayed over for 2 weeks and wish we never have to leave. Breakfast are very nice. They do very lovely filter coffee on 3 different types of roasting. Go and enjoy that ☺️

On arrival we loved the place. They had a lovely question written on the reception desk chalk board "What are you grateful for today?". Followed by that was some welcome tea that put us in a great mood. They provide all guests with homemade soap instead of the plastic tubes usually given out by hotels. The soap smells great and we loved it. It was a short walk down Street 17 to the main street. It is a great spot and not too far from the airport. We paid about 1,200 Rupee to get to the hotel from the airport. The bed was comfortable!

The noise from the neighbourhood was quite loud. It kept us up at one point. Another thing was a mosquito made its way into our room, even though we had shut everything. I am not sure if it was because of the room or because we had some doors open during the day. A weird bathroom, like others in Nepal, has the shower right next to the toilet without any water barriers. Also, the shower curtain was inline with the shower which meant it was touching you while you showered and if you didn't have it then the water would spill onto the toilet. The bathroom stayed wet afterwards.

I arrived at about 10.00 am and was given an early check in. It enabled to to have a shower and prepare properly for some people that I would soon be meeting for the first time. The room was comfortable and everything worked properly. The staff were excellent and could not be faulted. They made it possible to sort out my washing and correctly managed some things that needed cold water and air drying. They helped me make an airline booking to Kathmandu and arranged taxis for when they were needed. Breakfasts were good and in a social setting which I enjoyed.

It took me a little while before I knew where the hotel was on the street and getting to the main tourist areas. Apart from that there were no complaints. Two nights in Pokhara were not enough.
