Visited with my family and had a pleasant stay in Hotel Portland. Ms. Kretee & Ms. Sidhika were very attentive and prompt to help and address any of your needs in no time. The owner was also very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was good with nice variety on a daily basis. The AC room was very clean with daily cleaning facility available and had a balcony with beautiful view of the mountains and lake. Good value for money. Thank you Sushant Acharya for a remarkable management during the breakfast hours, Hari Ranabhat & Pabita have been a good host during our 5 days stay.

We stayed at this hotel in Pokhara for three nights and had an exceptional experience. Every aspect of our stay, from the service and hospitality to the rooms and food, exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff greeted us warmly. A special mention goes to Indira, who not only escorted us to our rooms and explained everything about the hotel but also impressed us with her warm and charming personality. We booked a Deluxe Double Bed and a Deluxe Triple Bed room, both of which were excellent. The rooms were well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, brightly lit, and featured comfortable beds that ensured a restful sleep. The bathrooms were spacious, with separate shower areas—a definite plus. The highlight of our stay was the balconies. The balcony in the triple bed room offered stunning views of Fewa Lake and the snow-capped peaks of Annapurna and Machhapuchhare on clear days. Additionally, the hotel’s terrace was a fantastic spot to soak in these breathtaking views. Breakfast was good and the staff managing it were efficient and attentive. Overall, this hotel is a great value for money, conveniently located in the heart of Pokhara’s tourist district. Highly recommend for a memorable stay!

Hotel Portland truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, the level of service was exceptional. Everyone was warm, professional, and attentive to every detail, making me feel genuinely welcomed throughout my stay. I stayed at various room adjusting to the needs of my group. The suite room at the toppest floor is definitely the nicest room out of every hotel I've stayed in Nepal. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The modern decor and cozy ambiance created the perfect environment for relaxation. The bathroom, in particular, was a highlight—sparkling clean, well-lit, and equipped with essential amenities such as hairdryer among others. Every aspect of my stay was flawless, from the comfortable bedding to the seamless service. This hotel is a shining example of what hospitality should be. I can confidently recommend it to anyone looking for an impeccable travel experience. I’ll definitely return for another memorable stay! Room 501 was on the top floor and had excellent views of the lake and mountains from both the sitting room and bedroom. The room was nicely furnished and staff replaced the towels each day. The buffet breakfast had a good range of Nepali and Western food. Indira and Kriti on Reception were very helpful and friendly. The waiter in the hotel was also very helpful and friendly.

Staff seemed to use the room opposite in their spare time and it could be quite noisy when they were using their phone or chatting to each other.

The stand out factors of this hotel were the reception staff: Indira and Mohan. They were very helpful throughout my stay, and I enjoyed interacting with them. The hotel itself is a pretty one, a mere second or two away from the touristic Lakeside. It is in one of the lanes, but that barely matters. I found the location quite central, so I could walk in either direction for interesting shops and restaurants. The rooms are very spacious and reasonably well appointed. There isn't a safe, so I locked up my valuables in my suitcase when necessary—which wasn't a big deal for me, but might be for someone else. I had a balcony as well, and I spent every morning there. There isn't a view as such (unfortunately there was a building being constructed just opposite) but you can see the mountain ranges from everywhere in Pokhara. It is a magnificent sight. The hotel has a terrace seating area, so this is the place to really enjoy the mountain views. All said, it was a lovely stay, and I would definitely revisit.

I had only one niggling issue with the hotel, and that was the way the shower was set up. The shower drain was outside the shower partition, and relied on a tiny (about the width of a tile) height difference to drain. Needless to say, it was nowhere close to sufficient. Every time I had a shower, the entire bathroom flooded. It was not pleasant at all. Also the hair dryer didn't work, but seeing as I've never ever had a functioning hair dryer in a hotel, I took this as par for course.

The location of the hotel was an ideal one, just 3/4 minutes walk from the Phewa lake inside a relatively calm & quite lane. The room I stayed offered a mesmerizing view of the mighty Annapurna range from our balcony. The ambience was good, rooms were clean & tidy, the food was good in terms of taste & quality. Moreover, all the staffs were exceptionally cooperative & friendly that made us feel at home.

The electric connections like the sockets & switches could have been better.

Hotel is good all facilities is nice but manager charge more exchange rate against Indian rupees he charged extra 500 Indian rupees it's wrong because In nepal all shopkeeper and hotel takes currency in 100Indian =160nepali currency ,he charged 148

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Portland in Pokhara, Nepal and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The service provided by the staff, especially the incredibly helpful receptionist, was outstanding. She went above and beyond to meet all of my needs during my stay. The rooms offered stunning views of Phewa Lake and the magnificent Annapurna mountain range. Waking up to sweeping vistas of the towering peaks each morning was a highlight of my trip. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast offered a nice variety of local and Western dishes. Everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. Dining while gazing out at the tranquil lake was a wonderful way to start each day. The location right next to Phewa Lake was ideal, providing easy access to the lake for scenic walks and boating adventures. It was also an easy walk into downtown Pokhara. I truly can't say enough good things about Hotel Portland. Of all the hotels I've stayed in during my travels, this one stands out for having the best service, views, location, cleanliness, and breakfast. I will be coming back to Hotel Portland on my next visit to Pokhara InshaAllah.

Best location, awesome food, very welcoming reception and kind staff. Hotel is walking distance to fewa lake and rooms are nicely cleaned. Indira at reception did our warm welcome. She is very knowledgeable and provided all option to enjoy Pokhara in 2 days and as suitable to our group. Indira is very helpful in arranging our sightseeing day tour and adventure tour booking. I would really appreciate Indira for extra hour spent after her regular work and personally taken interest to plan and book our adventure activities sunrise at Annapurna mountain, hot air balloon, cable car, zeepline etc.

The staff was absolutely fantastic in every way possible! The value of the stay was incredible. For what I paid for the amount of time, plus breakfast, was unbeatable. Reasonable size, and the location was impeccable. The breakfast included was absolutely fantastic, and made mornings very efficient. Having a fridge was really nice. Also, the staff left 2 large water bottles (instead of really small ones) everyday after servicing the room!

I was hoping for a view of the lake from the balcony with my Double Deluxe room, but instead got a view of a building under construction. The balcony was really nice nonetheless! The bathroom could use some upkeep, but wasn’t bad by any means.
