Staff were very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and there was plenty available. The location was very central and close to lots of tourist attractions. Good Wifi available.

There was a quite steep staircase up to reception and to the breakfast room. My daughter has some mobility issues and this was a little difficult for her. Bathroom was quite small. Some people may find the area a bit noisy but this wasn't a problem for us.

Accommodation is so unreasonably expensive unfortunately, so we don't tend to get as much as we would expect for the same price elsewhere. But Hotel Doria ticked all the main boxes for me: great location, my room was quiet, it was clean, the shower was good, the wifi was strong, and the bed was super comfortable. So yes, it was small and pretty basic, but certainly enough for what I needed. Breakfast was also a happy surprise, with eggs as well as the usual bread and cereal etc. Staff were always helpful and friendly.

This hotel was right in the heart of Amsterdam city centre. With a 10 min walk to the central station, within 5 min walk to the red light district and many other tourist attractions it was a great location. The bed was very comfy and had a good view out onto the main street. The hotel had in the lobby a small fridge with a range of drinks for a fee including beer and also was attached to an Italian restaurant. The breakfast was very good too to grab some snacks before heading out.

The stay was very good, however, my check-out experience was very disappointing. I had to catch my train and was spent waiting 20 mins at the desk which was left unattended. I was then almost late for my train as I had to get my deposit back. Although the room was a little bit small even for 1 person as I couldn't really fit my suitcase but that would be it.

The room was as described and actually better than we anticipated. The location was excellent. We took the rail from the airport right to the Hotel. Perfect location to visit all of the surrounding attractions.

They asked for 100 euros deposit that is not advertised on booking,that you don’t get back straight away if you pay by card. I check out at 11 is 20:00 and still didn’t get my deposit back. Hopefully I will get this back as I left everything ok . Hallway and outdoor a bit outdated.

I loved the location, easy to get to with a 10 minute walk, right in the heart of the city, Room (single private) had ample room for me, plus all the amenities such as aircon, shower/toilet, kettle, free wifi and a safe. Yes, the room had a bit of wear and tear such as marks on the walls, but was ultimately very clean. For its location and the age of the building I was very happy with the conditions. Staff were friendly and brilliant when I had a rare issue with the door lock. Issue resolved in minutes

The room lock failed for some reason, locking me out for a bit. This was quickly resolved by the staff however.

Location is in the thick of it just off Dam Square so perfect if you want to be in the midst of things. My room at the back of the hotel was relatively quiet despite this. The room was small but perfectly clean, good shower, tea/coffee, what more do you need. Breakfast was fine, juice, cereals, eggs, cold meat, pastries, bread, cheese, yoghurt. Something for everyone

The location was fantastic, 1 minute walk to either the National Monument or the Red Light District. The staff are very friendly and allowed me to check out at a later time

Room very small and street noise horrible -- no fault of hotel.

The location just off Dam Square was ideal for our plans. The first day, we toured the Royal Palace right on Dam Square. The second day, we walked to the Van Gogh museum less than a mile south of Dam. The third day, we walked north less than a mile to the central train station, then took the free ferry across to the meeting place of our Keukenhof tulip garden tour, then got back for our evening tour of Anne Frank house, which is less than a mile west of the hotel. On our last day, the hotel arranged a taxi to our ship for less than the going rate, and it picked us up in front. We couldn’t have done so much without this hotel, since my wife has trouble walking more than a mile or two. The breakfast was also much more substantial than we expected—well prepared scrambled and boiled eggs, sausage, and two kinds of health bread as well as cold meat and cheese. Finally, we were so grateful for the elevator; like most Amsterdam houses, this one has steep stairways that we could not have dragged our 50 lb suitcase up.
