Awesome location, decor, space, facilities, security and host! Barbara was a brilliant host and welcomed us wonderfully into our room, explaining the key system, heating and windows clearly to us, as well as providing a booklet of places of interest around the city. She even moved our beds together as they were two singles. The room was clean and generously stocked with tea/coffee. The en suite bathroom was also very clean and the shower was spacious. Our beds were super comfy. The location was perfect as you’re super central to everything, whether you’re looking for bars or coffee shops. The booklet gives you a good list of restaurants and coffee shops to visit with personal notes on the host’s favourites. The room is also super secure as you’re given a safe box and there were 3 separate locks between us and the front door. The venue is smoke friendly which is super helpful in Amsterdam for obvious reasons (😉) yet the room itself had no overpowering smell of smoke and actually had a pleasant scent as the host clearly makes the effort to help mask the smell. We stayed over Halloween when the city was full of partygoers and, with the windows closed, the busy street below us wasn’t too loud to stop us getting to sleep at all. This is the best location we have stayed at in Amsterdam and we’ll be back again soon! If we could give you 11/10 we would, thank you Barbara! :)

The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Amsterdam and within walking distance of everything. You can truly feel the spirit of the city here. Barbara was incredibly helpful throughout my stay; she even provided a personalized list of recommendations for breakfast, dinner, and places to rent a bike. It made everything so much easier and more enjoyable. I will definitely stay at this place on my next vacation to Amsterdam.

Before arriving, I saw some comments about the stairs, but honestly, they were not a problem at all. In fact, stairs like these are quite common in Amsterdam, so it’s definitely not a downside, just part of the all city!

Everything was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend booking here. Location is so central and fabulous - everywhere in city centre is within walking distance. Room was clean, shower was hot and bed very comfy. Barbara the host is lovely, extremely friendly and helpful and allowed us to stash cases there whilst we enjoyed our last day which was very handy. I will 100% stay here again when next returning to Amsterdam.

perfect location if you want to be in the Heart of Amsterdam. Barbara ( owner) is a lovely lady who is full of all the information needed, very welcoming and makes you feel very comfortable. Would recommend Urban vibes highly if you like a home from home feel. When we get a chance to go again, this is where we will be staying. very clean and everything you need on your doorstep. Especially the cake shop downstairs ( Yummy ) If you want a quite break book a log cabin in the woods somewhere else.. This place is for the true Amsterdam experience!!!!!!!!!!!

Stairs can be tricky after a good night but manageable, your in Amsterdam ( who cares) Pillows on the bed could be bigger..... and that's it..

The room was great, comfy beds, bathroom was lovely and the room had everything you needed. The stairs were very steep but we knew anyway as the description of the property tells you everything you need to know. Host was polite and helpful, she also left us information about the city which is handy for anyone's first visit to Amsterdam. The location was perfect for us as we like to be in the centre where everything is available. There is a little street noise but it didn't bother us at all. I thought the room looked small on the pictures but when you are there there's plenty of floor space even with your luggage there and room in the wardrobe for things. The room was clean and modern.

The stairs are steep which we knew about anyway. Having small luggage was fine for us to get up and down the stairs but anyone with a big case would struggle.

Very clean, central room in an old school apartment and in the heart of the tourist area. That's pretty cool and definitely worth it when you're a tourist yourself.

Since it's next to a busy street with a bar on the opposite side of the street, sleeping before midnight can be difficult unless you fall asleep easily. Also the stairs are very small and in a tight space so you gotta be careful, especially if you have luggage.

Our room with private bathroom was awesome! Had everything what we needed and even the hairdryer (which is really a + when you are a woman with long hair). Absolutely loved that it was clean, really convenient, and also the location (even tho it's close to the Red Light District) felt really safe and "in the middle of everything", just a few steps away from everything. Also, the host was amazing, really sweet and always available. Would definitely book it again!

Just what we needed as a base for exploring. Location was amazing! Walking distance from everything! Super clean, great shower, comfy bed, host was super lovely! I forgot an iPhone charger and a quick text later and we had one in our room ready! Couldn’t be more pleased and when we visit again we will be coming back here 100%. Thank you!

I would say for anyone with difficulty with small spiral stairs be aware as there’s a few but other than that nothing that we didn’t like

My friend and I stayed for two nights and I wish it was for longer, we were thoroughly happy with the accommodation. It is compact but not cramped, has all the essentials we needed, clean and very comfortable. I thought from the picture the bed would be quite small but it is actually big, and really comfortable. Barbara is so friendly, helpful and approachable. It was a delight and I look forward to staying again. The location is fantastic, and the room was very warm despite the cold weather. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs, as the road is noisy at night - but that is to be expected for such a great central location!

Everything was perfect! The host was so sweet and helpful. The guest house comes with everything you need, hair dryer, towels, face wash & shampoo, etc. the host allowed us to leave our bags after the checkout which was amazing. Also, the location is perfecttt! Close to everything, only 15 min walk from central station!
