Perfect location, every single employee was friendly and willing to help. We arrived a little earlier than the check in hour at 15:00 but they gave us the room without issues. Room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Amazing location right in the middle of the red light district. If I had to point some negative aspects, which are minor, I'd say that the water on the shower took a couple minutes to warm up, but the shower was big and comfortable anyways. Another thing that had me a little concerned personally was that they allowed us to leave the luggage on the reception on our check out as we had our flight in the evening and wanted to spend some time in Amsterdam until then. Yet there was always someone in the reception, I felt kind of unsafe leaving my stuff just there, but I want to remark that nothing happened and someone was there at all times! It is just my personal experience that had me concerned there, would have preferred that they left the luggage on another room or behind the bar or something. Overall I'd give this hotel a 10/10 anyways, specially based in the price! We'll be back for sure :)

When I entered the hotel I wasn't able to pay even after trying multiple times and the lady there was very understanding and said it was not an issue and I came back to pay in cash. The room was very nice, quiet and all clean. I loved that it was 24hr with a person at the front desk always, allowing me and my friend to come in and out whenever. Location was absolutely amazing in the centre of the city, reducing walking distance to attractions and shops. A plus was a cute little doggy inside the main reception area!

Every time you entered the hotel the door to all the rooms had to be buzzed in by the front desk worker, this was not an issue for me, but I found it could be tedious for the receptionist to keep needing to buzz us in. It would be better if the NFC cards to our hotel room could open the door with a simple NFC card reader. Other than that, it was an amazing stay!

Was a beautiful and cosy hotel! Staff are lovely an and the little miniature poodle Benjamin in the foyer was a really nice surprise he is absolutely gorgeous the little hotel doggy. The location is perfect on the red light district so perfect for an evening if you wanting to chill around there and drink at the bars you only have to pop over the road to charge your phone or grab some more money! We will defo return! Hotel was lovely bed was so comfortable and the shower was lovely! Can’t think of a more perfect place to stay to be honest! X

The hotel was surprisingly quiet despite the location (it's a red light area :)). The room was relatively spacious and clean. Staff was responsive. Breakfast is not offered, but there are a few cafes and restaurants nearby.

The price is definitely too high for a hotel of this level. Note that the stairs to the second floor are very narrow and very steep, so it might be difficult to have larger luggage. There is no hook or shelf in the shower room to hang a towel or put a toothbrush, there is also a glass for water missing.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of the red light district. Excellent value the facilities were spot on for what u need in dam. Tv in room with UK channels and the bed was super comfy! Went with my daughter and enjoyed being in the hussle and bussel but felt so secure and safe once in hotel! Excellent stay will be back!

Would be nice to have a small kettle in the room for the morning, but we booked the basic room, so it was expected!! Again, this is not a negative, just a suggestion

They were very agreeable to storing our luggage for us prior to check in so we could tour the day we arrived unencumbered. Although the streets were noisy, we did not hear the street noise in our room. Wi-Fi connection was good Complimentary coffee in theAM would go along way to hospitality. The gentleman on duty in the AM was very helpful.

The location was great. Close to the train station and a lot of activities. The neighborhood was a little scary for us country bumpkins

For me it’s the little things like bedside tables..more coat hangers..wall hangers for bathroom to put towels n and another one for toiletries on ect,…extra pillows. Apart from them little points as that’s me being picky, it’s a fantastic hotel and can’t wait to come back here in a couple of months.

The staff was fabulous! Super welcoming and really kind! Great advice for places to eat and things to do. Fab location in the heart of the red light district but even being in the middle we slept soundly. Not noisy like we thought it'd be.

Everyone commenting on the stairs-- yes they are steep and small. But so are allllll the stairs in amsterdam. We honestly just laughed everytime we went up and down.

The location was absolutely perfect and the rooms were super clean, quiet and secure. The staff were friendly and helped us with any queries we had. Only negative were the stairs were steep and we were on the top floor so we were dying by the time we got up the rooms but all accommodation in Amsterdam is the same so it’s unavoidable because most accommodations don’t have lifts.

The property is in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. The property is stunning inside and out, the reception area is elegant and inviting. Our room was exquisite, plenty of space and decorated with beautiful furniture that complimented the room. Staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend Hotel 83 for a visit.
