Everything was wonderful. The room temperature was perfect for a good night’s sleep. The beds were huge and very comfortable, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. The location is excellent – quiet and peaceful, yet just a five-minute walk from the main tourist areas.

What really surprised me was that the hotel staff did not react at all to a fight and loud shouting in the neighboring room. A young couple was screaming so intensely that I honestly thought they might hurt each other. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I am not sure if this is considered normal in the Netherlands, but in my world this is a potentially dangerous situation, and I believe the police should have been called.

This hotel was a lot nicer than I originally expected it to be, as i booked this holiday very last minute and this was one of the cheaper available options. The staff at the front desk were friendly and the room was a lot nicer than we thought it would be. The hotel is in a great location as it is in walkable distance to the heart of amsterdam.

The only issue with experienced whilst staying here was that on our last day house keeping just walked right into our room without knocking first, quite early on in the morning. Luckily we were just sleeping when it happened but it still felt as though are privacy was invaded. The day before this, house keeping didn’t even come to our room!

Incredibly helpful staff! Very comfortable stay! Maybe 15 to 20 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal, so with luggage, easier to use a taxi. Taxi from near train station charged €25, no meter, short path. Taxi back to near station, used meter with a much longer route to get back and it only came to €16, so maybe you can haggle? The hotel is out of the hustle and bustle of the traffic, so very quiet location while we were there. Very safe walk back and forth to touristy area. The food at the hotel was both very good and very affordable, I was very surprised! Always opinions, my wife thought the bed was very comfortable, I thought it was fine, but less comfortable? The room was very clean! I loved the bathroom, it appeared to be a modular unit that was very efficient with space and looked very easy to clean and maintain, it was also very clean! Over all great stay a few minutes away!

For a variety of food options, you may have to walk a little further, but for a quiet and restful stay, this is the place.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door. The room was small but comfortable. The shower room was a good size for a budget hotel, with a large shower area. The beds were very comfortable. The room included a desk and chair which was useful. The room was clean. We had a view of the canal. Lift and stair access was restricted, which made us feel safe. Excellent buffet breakfast, which a wide choice of food. Close to public transport.

An explanation on how to use the air conditioning. Better tea for the breakfast.

Excellent location to walk to most places or to catch a team.

No kettle in the room, and this may sound strange, but we both felt uneasy about the industrial imagery at all the lift doors. Didn’t give us confidence to feel safe when using the lifts especially when they creaked.

Facilities clean and very well-maintained. Location was quiet, but only one real dinner restaurant nearby, and it was inexplicably closed for vacation at the height of summer. Staff was top-shelf. I had a crazy multipart reservation that she cleared up and allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was extraordinarily good with hot eggs, sausages, hash brown patties, several fruits, meats & cheeses, yogurt plus excellent coffee and teas and multiple pastries and croissants fresh daily. Even the pizza at the bar was good! Bed was made and towels refreshed daily. 20 min walk to Centraal Station or Anne Frank house, subway within 2 blocks.

Room furnishings are sparse. Two shelves in a tiny open closet, one plastic chair, teeny nightstands no shelves at all in bathroom; no washcloths. A few outlets but no usb ports. Area was nice, relatively clean and fairly quiet, but only coffee shops and snack joints no real restaurants except one that was closed for vacation at the height of summer(?).

Good location which is walkable from the rail station. Also 10 to 15 min walk into the old centre. Staff were great, rooms small, but beds comfortable. Not much storage, so we put our cases under the beds for storage, easy! Didn't have breakfast as lots of good cafes around. Bar closes early, but reception staff have access to some items for purchase for a nightcap if needed.

Lack of storage in the rooms, but not a massive issue for a 4 night mini break.

Very friendly and helpful staff Clean Daily housekeeping Comfortable bed Room has a power cube with USB ports for charging devices Powerful shower

The location is a little bit further out than I would have ideally liked. It’s around a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro station or 25 minutes on foot to Dam Square. Take care catching a taxi from Centraal station as the first taxi driver we approached tried to charge us €35. We decided to ask another driver who charged €20. Still very expensive for the length of the journey but we had bags to carry at night and weren’t totally sure of the hotels location.

The hotel was in a reasonable location. It was a little out of the centre but within easy walking distance. The hotel was clean and the accommodation comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with arranging a taxi on one evening.

I always miss not having a kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in my room. Having to go downstairs for a coffee in the morning and not being able to make a drink at night time is very frustrating!

Comfortable room with about as much space as you would expect for Europe. The lobby and bar area had lots of options for food/beverages for the entire day. Staff was very helpful!

Initially our bathroom smelled very bad due to a clogged shower drain. After bringing this to the attention of the staff they corrected this within the next day and even offered for us to switch rooms. The bathroom was small with no separate tub so when using the shower the water goes all over the floor of the entire bathroom. About a 20-25min walk to the city centre.
