Staff were excellent and so nice. Very accommodating when we arrived earlier than check-in time. Room was brilliant as well as the shower. Having a small fridge in the room was a bonus. Tv is great but as it is all in Dutch (understandably), would be great to have app feature for guests to login on such as Netflix, Youtube, etc. Location was brilliant as it was only a 6 minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal Train station which has all the buses, trains and trams you need to get around the city. The city centre is only a 10 minute walk from hotel. It is great you can get books from the receiption to being to your room to read. Cannot recommend enough. One of the best places i have ever stayed in. Value for money deifinetly. :)

The Lift to the room was very slow as is like a dumbweight used to transfer food in hotel kitchens. It can take a while to get use to it as you have to hold the button to the floor until you get there or otherwise the lift wont move. Also the bed pillow is square instead of rectangle so would suggest rectangular pillows stat go across full width of the bed. This is just minor things and definetly all the positives outweigh these things :)

Wonderful and friendly staff. We stayed four nights with two kids aged 14 and 11. Centrally situated to the train station and all the key sites. Highly recommended. From Australia.

The location is perfect, close to the city center, the train station. Quiet neighbourhood. Perfect breakfast with good variety. Enjoyed the complementary coffeee and tea available 24/7 in the reception area. Clean rooms. Shery in the front desk was friendly, helpful and try to provide what we ask immediately.

The basement room was small but it was known before arrival so no suprise. The plumbing noise, the noise of water is a little bit annoying but it is not suprise for such renovated classical amsterdam houses.

Room was quite good and spacious. Toilet also was bigger than I expected and well designed. But no hot water in the shower :( Staff was friendly and helpful. We could leave our luggage there before check-in and after check-out.

Although the shower pressure was good, the water was not getting hot, only warm. After a long day, all you need is a hot shower, but it was not possible in our room.

We were looking for a place to stay before our flight from Amsterdam, and this was definitely a great choice. The location is amazing — just five minutes from everything, including the central train station. The building is old but nicely renovated and full of character. The service was excellent: 24/7 check-in, breakfast available for €17.50 (free for kids), free coffee at reception, plus books and discount coupons for tours. The building itself has a charming historic feel, with classic roof tiles and tall staircases — very atmospheric. There are also plenty of great, budget-friendly food spots nearby. When we left, trains were temporarily out of service, but a taxi to the airport cost us just €25, which was very reasonable.

Keep in mind: This is still a budget hotel in the city center, so don’t expect luxury renovations. Our room was quite compact — but we didn’t mind. It faced a lovely inner courtyard. No air conditioning in our room, but a fan was provided.

It’s close to Amsterdam Central station, 15 minutes walk to Dam square and close to a lot of restaurants and shops. Free coffee inside the reception area.

The elevator is odd, you have to press the button until you reach the floor. It’s scary like you’re stuck inside. We use the stairs though it’s a little bit steep and the steps are small.

The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. I had not traveled to Amsterdam previously, and I understand now that hotels like this must adhere to historic property rules, so not as convenient as the U.S.

There are no bakeries and near the hotel.

Location good, within walking distance of Central train station and most places of interest. Bedroom clean, beds large and comfortable, modern bathroom. Some steep stairs which could be a problem for some people but lifts available. Would recommend it.

The staff is amazing there. Very friendly and helpful. I arrived early and was exhausted after my transatlantic flight and the guys did their absolute best to help me and accommodate me as soon as possible.

The rooms look a bit old but idk it was fine.

Great location in central Amsterdam. Rooms are clean and modern. Complimentary coffee in lobby and books everywhere for guest use. Staff was great in assisting to reserve a taxi back to airport. Second time we use hotel due to the central location and still a quiet street.

Having already used the hotel in years past, I contacted the hotel directly to upgrade the size of room as an additional family member had been added to the trip. Hotel was not at all willing to upgrade the room and stated that ANY modification is considered a cancellation and therefore would be subjected to the total cost of room. That kind of customer service is very poor, as we were upgrading to a larger and more expensive room. The hotel would’ve made a profit. Due to this poor response, 2 of our guests booked a hotel down the street from this hotel at a better value.
