Staying on Hotelboot Sarah in Amsterdam was an unforgettable experience! It was such a unique and fun way to enjoy the city, with beautiful canal views and a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. The boat itself was well-maintained, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a great stay. A special shoutout to Xander, who truly made the experience even better! His hospitality, friendliness, and helpfulness were beyond amazing. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. If you’re looking for a different and memorable way to stay in Amsterdam, I highly recommend a hotel boat. 10/10 – would absolutely do it again!

The stay was amazing, but leaving was the hardest part!

booking, check in, location were good. breakfast was lovely with gluten free option for me! coffee and tea always available Staff looking after us was fab - extra pillow and holding luggage were not a problem Room was ok and bed was firm but comfortable Bathroom was ok

There were flying insects in the room when we entered which was a bit annoying? The bathroom was a bit dated and I feel there should have been separate shampoo and body wash rather than just one Guests were a bit noisy - not the hotelboat's fault but maybe a sign to say please don't be noisy at 1.30 am?

Staying on Hotel Boat Sarah was an amazing experience! The two hosts were fantastic—so friendly and accommodating. They were always available to assist us, and we truly appreciated their hospitality throughout our stay. Every morning, they set out a delicious breakfast that we really enjoyed, and we loved having access to the coffee machine anytime we wanted. One of the highlights was spending time with them on the boat on the 31st. They made us feel so welcome, and it was a great way to connect with them and other guests. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it feel like a home away from home. If you're looking for a unique and cozy stay in Amsterdam, Hotel Boat Sarah is highly recommended. We had an unforgettable time!

Very well situated, only 15 mins from Dam Square. The boat is simple, but comfortable and very clean. Our hosts, Romek and Kristoffer were most hospitable and did everything to make this a super stay. Their ability to chat to all the guests in their own languages was impressive! The breakfast, included in the price, was amazing in its variety and quality. Highly recommend!

Met at the boat by staff when we walked from the train station around 9am, they were very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were delightful, the room was very quiet and comfortable. Had originally booked a hotel close to the art museums, but when I saw the listing for Hotelboat Sarah, I cancelled it and rebooked with Hotelboat Sarah. VERY happy we did. We walked everywhere, day and night. Would not hesitate to stay with them again.

It was a bit warm a couple nights- a fan would have been nice as our window port was what you would expect on a renovated barge boat (a small window). NOTE- I did not ask for a fan so I don't know if they even had one, so that one is on me.

The boat is amazing & such a unique place to stay. When we arrived (early) we was able to leave our bags while we explored the city before check in. Only 10 minutes walk from Amsterdam train station it is the perfect location. Our room was cosy. We had a large double bed, a desk, a wardrobe, large mirror & on suite bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, hair dryer & shower wash available. Everyone we met was so welcoming and friendly and we're so helpful throughout our stay. We had breakfast included which included tea, coffee, water & orange juice. Breakfast was a mix of toast, tea cakes, crossaints with different butters, jams & nutella, different meats & cheeses. Different Eggs were made every morning plus there was cereal & fresh fruit and yogurt. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to stay again in the new year

We stayed in room 2 so breakfast time got a little noisy as we were closer to the kitchen & dining area but wasn't too much of a problem as we are not light sleepers. The rooms did get quite warm at night but they are very small cosy rooms with 2 peoples body heat. These 2 things are to be expected staying on such a small space like a boat. Everything else was absolutely amazing.

Great breakfast to start the day. Agnes was so lovely , always checking if you needed anything. The boat was quiet and in a lovely position for walking into all the sights Amsterdam has to offer. Room was compact but has everything you need for a short stay. Very clean . Provided hair and body wash which was helpful when you’re travelling light. Also towels provided. I would definitely book again when I next visit Amsterdam.

We were satisfied with everything.

Staying overnight on the ship was a pleasant experience. We arrived late, and the staff informed us via text message how to check in. However, there was still a friendly staff member to greet us. The room was clean, with plenty of air circulation, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent and diverse, deserving special mention.

Individually packed jams and honey could be changed in the future for bigger jars due to sustainable reasons.

The location is great, in a walking distance both from the Central station of Amsterdam and main sightseeing attractions; we were welcomed by wonderful host Agnes who gave us important tips and was very helpful all the time of our stay. We had a nice breakfast at the boat (included in a room price), there was coffee and tea available at any time.

It's not that we didn't like it but the room though very nice and quiet, had logically not much space in it; no tv either (we didn't need it, to say the truth).

Location, close to everything but still quiet at night, the breakfast had lots on offer and was a great way to start the day. The rooms are small but as expected on a boat and have all that you need for your stay including towels and hairdryer. A very friendly and helpful host who looks after the boat very well.

Shower pressure - hole in pipe needs fixing but this was only minor as it was great having your own ensuite on the boat.
