The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable but we found the pillows too high for us(A minor point but being in our 70's, bones hurt now). The location was great being only 2k and an easy walk into Central. The Tram was literally around the corner but we didn't need it. Plenty of food places and bars around as well.

Not much. The steep narrow stairs took us by surprise but once we worked out how to deal with them, no problem!

Really friendly and helpful staff. Free glass of wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. Walking distance to everything I wanted to see in a very short time. Quiet neighbourhood. Ground floor room (accessible) with huge windows overlooking the back garden. It is across the street from a nice park and a very important monument to the Dutch Jews who were deported in WWII. It is close to the Old Jewish Quarter and many well-preserved old buildings Also near the zoo and a huge botanic garden.

The carpet and decor in the ground floor room was old and dated (but full of character). It would have been nice to have a small breakfast in the morning. I like to go out early and the reception opened at 9:30, so I went out and came back for a coffee later. The position of the desk meant that if not careful, it was easy to open the door and bang into the desk. The electric outlets were not close enough to the bed. The shower looked modern, but drained slowly so the floor remained wet for a long time.

Excellent location, within walking distance of the city centre, Dam Square and Central Station, were about 25 minutes walk. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It appears to have recently been refurbished, so it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We didn't meet any staff as we arrived late but they had sent me the link for keyless entry to both the hotel and our room which was very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Staff are great and friendly. My PC adaptor couldn't fit the walls and one of the receptionists so kindly let me borrow hers during my stay. Coffee is available downstairs and is really good. Rooms are comfy, clean and self contained. Used the hotel bikes to get around for free. Location is central and peaceful with a park just opposite the hotel. Would visit again.

The stairs are loong. The ones on second floor are particularly narrow so you have to be extra careful. Not great for people with mobility challenges and a bit of a workout if you have heavy suitcases.

Very good experience here. The hotel reception is not open 24 hours per day, but when i arrived outside of regular hours I simply called the supplied phone number and the door was opened for me. I was told where to find my keys and there were no issues. The room itself was large, nice window, nice facilities such as a large Dyson tower fan to keep cool. Nice large clean bathroom with quality shower and bath. Location is excellent, central but not noisy at night time as its just slightly off the main street, but in a high quality area. Certainly would stay here again over other large big name brand hotels. No breakfast provided, but the cost reflects that, and there are many good quality places to eat in the immediate vicinity.

The hallway leading up to the hotel room itself has seen better days, and possibly could do with a little money spending on it.

Fab location and friendly staff. Early check in was possible. The stairs are indeed steep but that is clear in the description and it was fine for me - just took my time. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom more than adequate and modern. I didn’t have any problems with water pressure as other reviews said. The area is generally quiet, close to nice eateries, public transport and opposite a park.

It was a little noisy from other hotel guests but the information by the hotel asks people to be considerate and they can’t do any more than that l. The fridge in my room wasn’t functioning.

The Location is perfect in a not so touristy Area of Amsterdam with good connection the the canals and city center. You have a great connection to central station with the Metro ( Waterlooplein Station) at a 7 min walk or a direct bus connection in a 5 min walk (Bus 22) The Hotel lobby is nice and modern. You can leave your luggage there on the check-out day.

Although the rooms are quite okay and clean. They could be a bit more modern. Especially the bathrooms. It is an old Amsterdam Building it has it charm but it might be a on the noisy side trough the walls when you not used to this ( having lived in Amsterdam myself it´s quite typicall and did not bother me)

The hotel is lovely, staff were helpful and the room was gorgeous! It’s clear a lot of thought and love has went into the remodel, so many beautiful modern features and lots of nice extras - coffee machines, steamer, toiletries etc. The view overlooked the botanical gardens and was beautiful. The location is great, a minute walk to either Artis or Plantage tram stops which connect you to all the main spots around the city.

Great location, there is a tramstop right around the corner that can take you anywhere you need to be. I was pleasantly surprised by the room, I had picked the smallest room since it was the cheapest option (we only stayed in Amsterdam for 1 night) but it was actually a good room that I would recommend to any younger couple. It wasn’t the most spacious whatsoever but it has everything you need and is excellent for the price. No complaints about noise or dirtiness, it was overall a good experience.

It didn’t bother us at all, but the hotel does not have a lift. The rooms are not on the ground floor and we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Another thing to keep in mind is that even though the city center is very easily accessible by bike/public transport it’s not close enough to walk there. You’d spend a good 40 min walking for sure, this is what you have to keep in mind when you go out at night since public transport will stop working around midnight. We took the last tram back at 00:30. But if you like to stay out longer you’d have to either walk or take a taxi.
