First, I want to say that if I come again to Amsterdam, I would stay again in the same hotel for many reasons (But not in the -1 floor, read): 1. The location is great, it is 15 minutes away from the tourist areas; but, far enough to avoid the noise and crazy areas of the city. 2. Tram #4 which goes from RAI convention center to Centraal station, has a stop 1/4 block away. If you go towards Centraal, it takes 5-10 minutes. The only issue is that tram #4 was unreliable when I was there. 3. There is a supermarket with NON-tourist prices in the corner, so you can get groceries, etc, paying the 'local' prices. 4. The hotel staff is great. 5. The rooms on the 3rd floor are amazing. With a beautiful view. Super quiet.
When I arrived, I first disliked the hotel, the reason? They put me in room 006. This would be my first advice, please DO NOT accept room 006 or any room on the -1 floor. Room 006 is just below the breakfast hall. At 6:30 you start hearing the steps on your head from the floor above. This is an old house so you won't be able to sleep again. The second day they changed me to the 3rd floor and that's a huge difference. I also think the wifi connection is very slow. I was not even able to work remotely. Just to defend them, I felt wifi was bad across the city. In the RAI convention center, it was also the worst. The bed is not the most comfortable, could be better.

The location was excellent!! A 10-20 minute walk from the main shopping and dining areas in the Jordaan but also so many adorable eateries, cafes and shops in De Pijp. There’s a corner store nearby too, which makes it easy if you need to grab anything. The city is so walkable and we felt very safe at the hotel. We also had a nice view from our room and loved opening the windows for fresh air. We also loved that you could easily and affordable rent bikes right from the property to enjoy the city. The room was very comfortable and the shower was awesome, though without a door make sure to put down extra towels. The staff was so nice and we enjoyed learning a little about them on our way in and out each day. We would definitely stay here again.
The shower not having a door made for a wet floor but it wasn’t a big deal. Just need extra towels.

The breakfast was very good. I am on a restricted diet and the kitchen staff there accommodated me very nicely. I really appreciated it. The room was a good size. The bathroom was fine. It had a good desk which I used. The area was quiet. The front desk people were very helpful too. They assisted me with a couple of issues.
I wish it was a little closer to the city center but I was able to walk everywhere with no issues. I did not need to use public transportation at all. For example, the Ann Frank house and red light district were a 30 minute walk. But the best way to see a city is to walk it.

Hotel was easy to get to from the airport via the taxi app service BOLT. Upon check-in we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming employee. In fact all employees we spoke with very friendly and extremely helpful full of local knowledge and ideas to spend your day. We didn’t opt for breakfast as it seemed a little pricey however, the hotel was within two minutes of LIDL’s - so we purchased fresh pastry’s each morning. Room was of good size, comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was exceptional and again very clean. The hotel was equipped with good working lifts so great with persons with mobility problems. Very close walking distance to the tram stops which were brilliant to use!
Nothing to report.

Location!! If you love food, stay in De Pijp!! Best neighborhood that is still biking, training, and walking distance from all the sites and city things with none of the chaos of being directly in the busiest parts of the city. This specific ibis styles hotel location is right on the canal but in a quiet area— 5 minutes walk to bars and restaurants. Amazing Surinamese food. The beds were so comfortable and simple. We ended up on the 3rd floor with a room looking out to the canal and it was so beautiful and quiet. For the price we paid and quality, it was fairly priced. Cities are expensive to live in but I’ve paid the same or more for worse quality. I’m sold on Ibis hotels after this stay! Staff was very friendly as well :)
Nothing at all!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Kettle in room to make own tea/coffee and only a couple of buildings away from a small supermarket. No fridge in room. Elevator was working and good. Location was on the outer edge of old town but right near tram and bus stops. Within walking distance of cafes and restaurants. Near City Sightseeing HopOnHopOff bus, Red route, stop 7 (Heineken Experience). Mum (81) with 2 knee replacements and myself (55) with back nerve damage that affects walking did not have issues walking in to city and back on numerous days. Stayed for 5 nights 24/03/24 to 28/03/24.
Nothing as was what we expected.

Location wise it’s very strategic. Near transport links, shops and restaurants in the city of Amsterdam. The staff were really amazing! I was allowed early check in and was given a room upgrade at no cost. The housekeeping team kept the room fresh and clean daily. Upon check out the receptionist was very clever to offer me to store my luggages safely within their care while I make the most of my remaining time in the city. She even offered me a map and gave me tips on where to buy cheap souvenir items. The team went beyond my expectations! ☺️
I could hear a little bit of noise coming from people by the corridor or adjacent rooms. But that didn’t bother me much.

All the hotel staff were always very polite and available, 10 out of 10, the breakfast staff were very attentive and pleasant, especially a Chinese lady who takes care of the smallest details, congratulations.
The bed was very small and uncomfortable for me, when I woke up I felt like I hadn't slept well. I'm 1.80 m tall. The overall cleaning was good, but the pillows weren't clean and had old dirt stuck to them.

My recent stay at a hotel near the center of Amsterdam was an absolutely delightful experience. From the seamless process of securing my accommodation to the charming hospitality offered by the hotel staff, every aspect of my trip was perfect. The hotel's location was ideal, striking a perfect balance between peaceful serenity and close proximity to the vibrant heart of Amsterdam. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city's rich history, culture, and bustling nightlife, all within a short walk or bike ride. Upon arrival, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The room exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and amenities. It served as a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing, boasting a comfortable bed, a pristine bathroom, and a picturesque view of the city's unique architecture. The accurate descriptions and transparent customer reviews I consulted helped me make an informed choice, ensuring that the hotel met all my needs and preferences. The straightforward navigation and hassle-free reservation process added to the overall ease of planning my trip. In conclusion, my experience with the hotel in Amsterdam was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend it for its reliability, wide range of options, and excellent customer service. Whether you're planning a leisurely vacation or a business trip, it's easy to find the perfect accommodation for your stay.

Comfy and spacious room, excellent and really friendly staff, close to tram lines too. Staff allowed us to check into a room early, which was a bonus too!
Due to being in a room next to reception/the front street, it was a little noisy at times, however, staff checked this with us prior to us agreeing to this room so I can’t complain too much as we had a choice in accepting the room and knew we wouldn’t be spending too much time there. It didn’t impact my sleep which was the main thing!
