The room was a good size, and the bed was super comfy. We slept so well every night! It was very cold during our stay, but we were kept plenty warm using a heater and the built-in air conditioning unit. The coffee pods were a nice addition, and it was convenient to have kitchen items to use. The large bathroom was lovely with beautiful toiletries, and there was a great hairdryer. The location was great - easy to get into town walking or taking trams, and it was in a nice neighbourhood with all amenities.

Toilet needs to be secured as it can move about. Otherwise it was perfect and we will be staying again and again I hope!

Lovely location right on the canal. The room is a good size for 2. The bathroom is clean and spacious with little extras. Even though it over looks a busy restaurant the nose doesn't travel through the windows.

The toilet is not attached to the floor or wall so moves very easily. It also fills with water when you sit on it. Unfortunately when you flush a terrible smell comes through the kitchen sink. It wasn't a problem for us but people looking for any cooking facilities will be disappointed. If you have any mobility issues, the stairs are very steep. But this is an amsterdam feature not the property's fault.

The location is great, the welcome was very good. The room is very nice in a vintage style. The only problem was that it was cold, but I think this is a problem with the Netherlands. We were cold even though there was a heater, air conditioner and mini heater in the room. But we would choose it again. Thank you for everything.

We visited in March 2020 and found the room to be clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location was perfectly placed; not too central and not too far away from town, it took us approx 20 mins from the front door to the centre of Amsterdam via tram. The staff were friendly and accommodating; we asked if there was access to an iron (we usually carry a travel iron) and they provided one later the same day. The kitchen had everything you could want including a large fridge and a hidden microwave (located in the cupboard above the sink for some reason). The bed was one of the most comfortable we've experienced in Europe. All in all we can declare the New monumental garden view Studio our new favourite place to stay when in Amsterdam.

Many of the reviews mention having to pick the keys up from town on arrival as a nuisance; this was a minor inconvenience for us and not a deal breaker. But I couldn't help wonder why the owners don't just install a key box, surely this minimal spend would help boost future ratings. The broken toilet seat and faulty bathroom radiator were more significant failures and the only reason why we didn't award the highest score.

We loved: the location, the self check-in system, the peacefulness, the fact there was a nice café next door, the beautiful old building and furniture, the modern facilities, the Apple TV, and the comfortable bed.

It would have been nice to have a bath mat and larger towels to use, and more kitchen facilities such as a microwave and/or toaster, but nothing else apart from that!

I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the property, I enjoyed how easy it was to travel to and from.

I could have benefited from an extra big towel as I found it quite difficult drying the ones provided in time for the next day. I would have also benefited from a hairdryer.

A perfect, new and well-equipped apartment. Check-in was easy, the location is fantastic – quiet and pleasant – just a 10-minute walk to the city center. There’s plenty of street parking available. I would highly recommend this apartment!

Comfortable bed. Great air conditioning - efficient and quiet. 5 mins walk to tram line.

No sitting area. Kitchen was very basic. Steep stairs - but this is Amsterdam so that’s normal.

Location was great, just a bit too far out of the city to walk but it's a 5minute tram from the top of the road...perfect really Fantastic food and drinks options very close to the apartment (honestly I prefer this neighbourhood too the centre) Owner was great, friendly and accommodating but left us to iour thing Check in easy, room big and shower good 👌 Highly recommend for people after a nice holiday in Amsterdam

Nothing at all! Only comment would be that it’s quite cold in the studio but naturally the weather doesn’t help with that!
