The street leading to the hotel is nice, super safe, has a cool food hall and nice cafés. There is a supermarket nearby and many food options. The lobby of the hotel is really cute. The hotel is at barely 5 minute walking distance from bus 397 that goes directly to the airport (for a few euros).

The room and bathroom are dark. The main room has a big window but the curtain cannot be drawn because it would expose us to the people in lobby, the various hallways and whomever walks by which means a lot of people. The staff was extremely friendly but a broken bedside lamp was never fixed - we asked 3 times in 5 days.

Good location for exploring by foot, e.g. the "De Hallen Food Market". Inviting standard both in the common areas and the room. Good breakfast. Safe storage for bicycle (after a long wait for management clarifications)

A bit uncomfortable overhearing the poor communication between a senior and junior receptionist during check-in. Further, the senior had us wait for 15 minutes while checking with his manager if we could keep our bikes in the room. Eventually our request was turned down, but a locked meeting room was offered instead which was fine. At breakfast, we were only informed about omelette, pancake and waffle options after having helped ourselves from the buffet.

The lobby and common areas of the hotel were beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The room was pleasantly spacious and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and a well-appointed bathroom featuring a refreshing shower and a large, inviting bathtub. What truly amazed us was the breakfast—a hearty, homemade meal. A beautiful buffet offered a varied selection of options such as eggs, omelettes, pancakes, and waffles. The gentleman who checked us in was exceptionally warm, kind, and helpful, even though our arrival was very late at night. He was also very discreet, making the check-in process smooth and effortless. Additionally, the young man managing breakfast service was delightfully attentive, ensuring we had everything we desired.

Friendly staff that allowed us to check-in earlier. Nice location in a quiet neighborhood a bit outside of the busy city center. Well-furnished room with comfortable bed.

I would advice the management to add hair conditioner to the amenities in the bathroom. Not related but worth mentioning - we tried the food hallen next to the hotel and we weren't impressed at all, check the reviews on google before ordering so you don't make the same mistake as us.

Great location close to the beautiful Vondelpark and some nice bars, good rooms for a reasonable price. Nicely decorated, quite spacious, good common space for working a bit. Friendly woman at the reception and convenient parking, although it's pricey

The twin room doesn't provide much privacy so not ideal if you're not a couple: you can see through the shower cabin from the rest of the room and also the toilet doensn't have a real door. Also a bit noisy when there are people passing by in the corridor.

Well appointed rooms , spacious and comfortable in a lovely neighbourhood. Friendly and helpful staff. De Hallen is our home away from home and we are always made to feel very welcome! Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Amsterdam ! Location is terrific too ! Very central and easy to get around by foot or tram.

Although the beds are super comfortable , my personal preference is for softer pillows. Its not a complaint , just a preference.

Really lovely hotel surrounded by a nice neighborhood filled with restaurants, parks, canals and all things Amsterdam. Do check out the food market right next to the hotel! In Amsterdam everything seemed to be in walking distance, but if you're not loving the walks, there are tram stops 200 meters from the hotel entrance.

Booking.com's bed preference hadn't reached the hotel. They were thankfully able to accommodate our wish for separate beds, but it caused unneeded stress when checking in. When booking, do contact the hotel separately to make sure they are aware.

The entire hotel offers excellent service in a relaxing yet dynamic residential setting. Full of shops, restaurants and within walking distance or by public transport from all the city's main attractions. We appreciated the great attention of the reception staff. In particular Valentina and Maria who made us feel at home. The breakfast was really excellent, the best we have ever had in a hotel, unmatched, everything was fresh and made with passion and love. The daily cleaning of the rooms was meticulous and attentive to our needs.

Good location friendly hotel personnel. Good value for money. Breakfast was great.

My room got double booked on the first day, so someone was entering my room with a key card while I was in the bathroom. This is a no go for a 4 star hotel in Europe. While I don’t mind too much, it would appreciated an apology by the hotel staff afterwards. Besides a good experience though.

I absolutely loved my room! Big enough, spotless, luxurious and felt like a perfect match for my expectations! I would definitely recommend the hotel if you want a pleasant stay in Amsterdam and still affordable! The location was good! Close to downtown, but far away of all the noise!

The only thing that I didn’t like was the weak wifi connection in my room. For a single night it’s manageable, but for a longer period of time, it would be a problem.
