The rooms were great. There was a small coffee machine (capsule) in the room which was great since I wanted to have a coffee first thing in fhe morning. The staff was really lovely. They kept some stuff cool for us as it was very hot in the car during the stay and we're overall very accommodating. There is a tram station nearby so getting to the city center is easy with public transportation. There is also a lovely bakery a couple of minutes aways that makes amazing croissants.

You do need to take the tram to get to the city center. There was weird smell on the carpet on my floor but I didn't pay it much attention. There are parking spots but you should know they are not underground.

The best thing for us was the location. It is out of the main touristy areas but still very close to all the main attractions and has bars/cafes/shops nearby. It is very near several tram lines which is extremely useful and there is a nice park over the road. We had a deluxe king room - the bed was very comfortable however the chairs were a bit grubby but otherwise the room appeared clean. The shower pressure was not as hard as we would have liked but the overall the bathroom facilities were good. We didn't use any of the hotel's onsite facilities.

Bed pillows were huge! A couple of options would be helpful.

The breakfast was good there was a choice of continental or buffet breakfast. There was plenty of choice. The chef Cooked a milk free omelette for me. Would have liked some dairy free options though i.e. yoghurt and milk. The room was large , the bed was super comfy. Great walk-in shower.

The carpets were grubby in the communal areas on floors 1 and 2. We specifically chose a hotel with a fridge in the room to keep my husband’s insulin cool. However, on arrival we were told that the fridge was not cool enough and would have to be kept in the hotel’s kitchen fridge. We were told that all the hotels in Amsterdam are the same. There was a lifted carpet with a metal cover strip which was damaged and sticking up which is a trip hazard. We originally were provided a room on the second floor but had to reject the room as my husband is disabled and could negotiate the half landing steps up to the room. The hotel was very good and changed our room to one that was ordered originally.

Everything about Manor Hotel was great. Hotel is very well equipped and very clean. Location is great and connection to city center is top notch. I advise you, go by foot -> walk and discover the City. Amsterdam has so much to offer, not only the World famous Canals and city center. Tram stations are very near (approx 50m from the Hotel). There are lots of coffee shops and bars nearby. Hotel is near lovely Oosterpark. Room was as advertised: very clean and comfortable. Beds were excellent (very comfy). Breakfast is Hotel standard (do not get me wrong, it was very good). At all time, there was someone at reception desk witch is great if you need any help (it is comforting that you can still talk and communicate to Humans!).

Great spot to stay in Amsterdam. The room was great and a nice size, bigger than anticipated. A good quiet nights rest can be had. Facilities were nice size and clean. The FREE snacks were a great very much appreciated. Staff was great and attentive to any needs. Laundromat right across the street with same day service and very reasonable prices. Used it since this was a halfway point for me. Close to some food spots and markets all within a 2 - 15 walk. Train stops all within walking distance. From this hotel the main area is like 15/20 minutes away.

No complaints, everything was great.

The staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble, and always had a smile. Great providing information about the city, what to visit, and how to get there using the trams. Very good location, out of the city enough to be quiet but a few minutes on the tram and you were in the centre of Amsterdam. Some good local bars are nearby and simple but good restaurants too. Though the restaurant on site at the hotel was excellent too. Again, very good service, lovely smiley staff and lovely food. It's a little more expensive than outside but worth it for a special meal. We did have a problem with our air conditioning, but that was immediately sorted, and we were moved to another room. Would not hesitate to either recommend or return to this well priced city hotel.

Cannot think of anything

Loved the location. Out of the touristy part of the city. Residential area with cafés, restaurants, delis, groceries, and shopping centre all an easy walk from the hotel. The refrigerator in the room was a bonus as we were able to keep ingredients for sandwiches for day trips chilled. Tram passed by front of the hotel, but as the weather was fine , we chose to walk to the metro. Had a room in the back of the hotel facing a garden, and it was quiet for a good night sleep.

Room a bit too warm at night. Shower in a deep bathtub, which was ok for us , but might not suit an older couple.

The staff were very friendly, there was a relaxed, yet attentive environment, the room was great. The location was a little far from the centre but only a 5 minute walk to the local train station, then a short train journey into the centre. Breakfast was nice too. We also received a complimentary upgrade which made it even better.

There was a nasty smell the whole stay in the corridor outside of our room. The curtains and floor was soiled. Having said that, it did not ruin our stay.

Helpful staff, a clean room with everything needed. Convenient location not far from the train station. My room was not ready, so they provided me with a better room for free. I stayed there for only one night, so I can’t give a detailed review. In general, all was good.

Small things: The switch from the shower to the faucet in the bathroom didn’t work, but I didn’t report it to the reception as it wasn’t important for me. The price was quite high for one night, but there was a concert in the city, so there were not too many free hotels on that date.

The location is excellent for any reason you're in Amsterdam. There are multiple trams servicing the area, just one block away, as well as the Muiderspoort train station, so this means you can get around super easily no matter where you are travelling to i.e. in Amsterdam or further afield. Amsterdam accommodation is generally super expensive, so this hotel was the most value for money given the services, location and style.

The night bar / restaurant manager was absolutely, shockingly horrible. Forget about customer or client service. I would not recommend using the onsite bar or restaurant. Seems like he forgot what his role was and instead of managing the hotel guest with respect, he was vile. The day manager of the hotel apologized for his behavior, but I think the hotel needs to train staff in customer service and dismiss those who treat hotel clients as if they were lesser humans.
