The setting of Hotel Campanille, although slightly outside the main city area is in a beautiful and it was only a short trip for me on my rented bike. The accommodation with restaurant was all very nice and comfortable. The standard of food was very high and all staff were very helpful and pleasant.

At present, there are road works on the main cycling route from Amsterdam to the accommodation. This is not a criticism of the hotel but worth knowing that you should route via Gouda itself. (Small detour)

Nice hotel, the room was clean, equipped with electric cattle, Tea/coffee/sugar, banquettes. the bed was very comfortable. Very good breakfast - large variety to choose from and yummy.

The only downside from my point of view is public transport options to access the hotel. you can get close to the hotel only by bus #175 (which sometimes have long gaps, about 20 - 25 minutes) and still have to walk about 500 meters to reach it.

Location was a little too far outside the city to be really convenient for some sightseeing on the evening we arrived, but it was very clean, friendly and very good value. It was easy to reach the long distance cycle route that we were travelling on. The staff were extremely helpful and we had a good value evening meal and a filling breakfast before leaving.

There was some noise during the night and early morning from other guests talking and chatting to each other outside their own rooms.

Location close to the highway in a while from the city center.

The staff is very friendly and ready to help you. The bed in the room is comfortable. Badroom is clean and shower works perfectly. The fact that you can charge expenses on your room facilitates the reimbursement when traveling for work.

The lack of plug connections in the room which makes difficult to work on the desk with your laptop and mobile at the same time. It would be nice the cleaning service vacuum under the bed. For €14 / day, lack of food variety during breakfast. There are two coffee machines, the good one is for paid coffee and the other produces a bitter coffee dilution.

Loved the motel vibe , the room was really clean and very functional. Staff were really lovely and very helpful. We ate in the restaurant the first evening and it was really nice. Easy parking. Dog friendly. Easy access to the centre of Gouda, which is a quirky beautiful city to visit.

Only one thing is it’s near the main freeway out of Gouda so the traffic noise is 24hrs. It didn’t bother us but might some.

A lot of spider nets everywhere, cleaning girls let us complet opened doors to the outside during the breakfast and noone was there

Good location for us, we enjoy walking and Gouda town centre was only a 45 minute walk away. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with a tea and coffee tray. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Of you have dietary requirements e.g. vegan etc and you've booked breakfast, just let them know as they cater for this when asked.

The breakfast is expensive and we had prepaid for it during our stay when we booked the room. On one morning the coffee machine was out of order, there was no fresh juice and there was almost no food. Most items were not available! When we asked where everything was, we were told it was the chef's day off and he had not left enough breakfast food. We weren't offered any kind of discount or alternatives which was very disappointing.

Very friendly and personal staff. Lunch was very good and came with good advice on the menu.

Hotel is actually more of a motel with rooms only assessable from the outside

Everything was great, specially the staff! The night guy was super nice to us when we arrived late :)

Only thing is the heating - they could’ve turned it on before we arrived, because the room was really cold. But I turned it on as soon as we arrived and it got warmer during the night.
