Excellent room, very spacious and clean. Hotel facilities are great. Friendly staff at the restaurant. Indeed, we enjoyed both their friendly behaviour and smiles. Food at the restaurant was more than excellent.

Rented a bicycle. Service required. Reception staff could be a little more friendly on the evening swift. The bicycle rented was not there and instead of an apology an unpleasant smile was received. The bicycle given was not perfect as the seat was moving. I am an experienced cyclist and could do the ride but in general would expect more for the money paid fro the bicycle.

the room was amazing big with a good view to the lake, the bed was really comfy and good. the tub was the best one we have had so far in a hotel, the bathroom in general was amazing. vendor machines with everything you could end up needing for a hotel stay was good, water, shoe polish etc.

some of the staff was a bit confusing in the restaurant, before getting our dish we already encountered 5 different waiters and every time we had to start over and explain we do not speak Dutch. when we sad down our table was wet and de had to clean the plates with our napkins. The food and wine was good and the breakfast was amazing.

The best of this place is definately the restaurant, good the food, good the service, everything is working very well

Ok, I've been here several times, what we find all the times is a very "serious" reception.. I do not recall a single smile provided by the receptionist ever. Anyway the hotel is awesome, 5 min of check in and check out, even if it's not pleasefull, it's not a big deal ;)

The room was spacious with good view to neighbouring pond. Big bathtube and modern shower added comfort. Choice of food for breakfast was good. The hotel offered transfer service and the city bus stop is not far either.

It is not that important but I noticed that the TV was a small old-type analog-TV, no modern IPTV services, apps, Netflix, etc. It wasn't problem for us bot some guests maybe expect more nowadays.

The room was nice and comfortable, facing the water canal . Comfortable bed, toiletries, coffee machine. Breakfast was very good , the restaurant is good as well. Location is good for travelling by car , area around is nice for walking.

Toilet is separated from the bathroom and there is no possibility to wash your hands in it, you need to go to the bathroom, which is not good. No mini bar, even no water in the fridge.

Good location around the green area,beatiful for jogging and Cycling in the nice countryside. Hotel Really nice and recomended for relax. Rooms very confortable,cleaned and Wide with all the useful services. In Annex available also a good restaurant with very kind,smiles and friendly waiters.

Unfortunately in my room a strong smell of smoke but none has asked me if I prefer a Not smoke room. Reception guys staff without smile, not much welcome friendly with the guests and very poor of useful data/Infos regarding the Places around the hotel. I asked info, how to get to the railway station but I received a short confused reply. I suggest to them a very short training with the close guys collegues of the front restaurant, how to welcome and smile tò the guests.

Bike parking was a bit of a fiasco. On our second day of stay with expensive racing bikes we were told we couldn’t put them in our room. We were given horrible directions to the storage area, even after clarifying where it was. Thankfully they were still there in the morning. A bit disappointing though, as it soured the entire experience.

Had an amazing 3 day stay at Van Der Valk Hotel. Rooms were spacious and had everything you needed (lovely smelling toiletries provided), gym had a nice view of the water, wifi was strong, the on site restaurant was amazing! Best food.

Location wasn’t central to much but only 20 minutes on the train to Rotterdam central.

More food choices on restaurant menu. In my room, lots of limescale on tiles and external seal to shower, big build up very obvious and could easily be rectified!

Hotel is still under renovation but really beautiful. You barely notice that there is work going. Super quite , food is amazing, staff are professional and great at customer service
