This is a nice small hotel, beautifully designed. They offer accommodation at resonance price, especially for families. We loved the design of the room, however, really struggled with the toilet. First of all, toilet room was less than 1sqm, we didn’t understand how it was even possible to create this project and get it approved. When you sit on it (pardon me for the details), you most likely smash your forehead at the wall. But that wasn’t the main issue, we could not see functional ventilation (I am not sure if it’s there at all). For a family of 5, having a tiny (less than 1sqm) toilet without ventilation was a real disaster. Obviously, that fact affected our stay, we had to wait longer than normal while taking turns. We even tried to use the other toilet but it wasn’t ideal. We have been travelling in Europe for 4 weeks at that stage and that was the issue we never had before. Location- please check the location. It worked for us as we were driving and it wasn’t a problem to drive to the train station, however, by foot it’s good 3km and the surroundings are not scenic, so probably not ideal. Trains come every 30 min(not 15) and it takes 4 stops (maybe 15-20min) to get to the main station in Amsterdam. We were also offered a breakfast for EURO 14.75 which didn’t include any hot food, my understanding is that they do not have a kitchen, so they offer only cold food. We declined that option and were able to get simple hot breakfast in the cafe near the hotel at Euro7,5. Again, the overall impression is nice and as I said the interior design looks lovely, however, it appeared to be not so practical for 5 people and a tiny toilet. It should be ok for 1-2 people.

As I mentioned, ridiculously tiny toilet with No (working) ventilation.

A charming property located in the peaceful suburbs of Amsterdam, just a few kilometers from the iconic windmills of Zaanse Schans. Well-connected to Amsterdam by train (station approximately 3 km away, with free parking available) and in a strategic position for visiting beautiful destinations like Lisse (Keukenhof Park), Alkmaar, and Volendam. Generous breakfast included, though not inexpensive. Good price for Amsterdam-area standards.

Stylish design furniture, though not entirely functional (e.g. the clothing shelf). Our ground-floor room was a bit dark. Little problem at check-out, than solved.

The building was quaint, aesthically done. Fieke was very helpful and friendly . The bathroom was spotless. The shower was really good. The herbal tea supplied in the room was excellent .

The open terrace with a beautiful view was not accessible to the guests after 7 p.m. It will be nice if the hosts find a way to give guests access, as we would like to enjoy the view in the evenings. The lobby too, where the books are kept, is closed after the staff leave in the evening. Such a pity, as it is a lovely room to relax. Hotels in Wormer and Wormerveer do not have night staff. That is something that you need to be prepared for.

A really welcoming and relaxed hotel with an incredibly comfortable room for three. The shower was fabulous and excellent tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is very individual and has a lovely roof terrace that unfortunately we could not take advantage of because of the weather. We were on a cycling holiday and the breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day ahead. The owner is exceptionally nice and helpful.

Nothing - loved everything about it.

Amazing place! The warm welcome by the owner and sharing of his extensive knowledge of the area, together with the beautifully designed former church, make you feel immediately at home. Stylish room with a comfortable bed and rain shower. Also had dinner, choice of 2 daily specials, I chose the vegetarian curry with rice and naan bread, delicious. And finally, a good a la carte breakfast with sliced fruit, fried egg, croissant, yogurt and old cheese sandwich. Highly recommended, thank you

I liked everything

We had two rooms, a double and a triple, both very nice! High ceilings, large bathrooms and amazing shower with large toiletries bottles, plenty of towels. My room had a very comfortable double bed, I love extra pillows to cuddle. There is no private parking on site but easy to park on the street. We got at the hotel late so check in was closed, we got instructions by email, easy to follow. There was a kettle and a mini fridge in the room, good selection of tea. We forgot to pay at checkout, they called us and we were able to sort the payment over the phone, instead of having us driving back.

The mini fridge didn’t work in one of the rooms. Not a big deal, we used the other one.

Fantastic boutique hotel in Wormer, approx 20 min outside of Amsterdam central. The rooms were fantastic - so spacious and stylish, and the beds were very comfortable. The surrounding town was very quaint, with plenty of facilities outside. The owner was nice and hospitable. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Nice friendly place, with good communication and easy relaxed atmosphere to be able to enjoy a nice stay north of Amsterdam. The rooms were well equipped and I felt comfortable and secure in the rooms and the rest of the public spaces.

No complaint, but a nice draft beer would have been cool, but maybe I am just too old school and should relax and try the craft beer. Parking ended up being easy, as the side streets offer some opportunities, but the hotel directly has none.

A marvelous gem of a hotel hidden in wormer, the rooms were spacious with a very modernly interior design. the bathroom had a wonderful rain showerhead with perfect pressure and al the amenities you would expect. and the tv had a smart function so you can connect your phone which is a big plus. and the possibility to arrange a late check out was nice.

The location is bit tricky to reach if you don't have your own transport. as you would have to take a taxi to get anywhere from the hotel at later hours when the bus stops driving.

A very special boutique hotel in an old church building. Nice location, very calm, nice views around, kind and efficient staff. The room was very spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable. Good choice for breakfast with great fresh bread, different coffies, and the hot chocolate is probably the best we've had (should have asked for recipe!). Special notice for the very good musical taste of the owner and staff. Loved our stay here and highly recommend this hotel!
