The hotel was a great location, just near the train station, and in a nice area. The staff were always friendly, and always helped, no matter the time or request. The restaurant and bar were clean, always manned by attentive staff and the food/drinks were lovely, quick, and a good price. The room itself was perfect! Lots of room, comfortable, a great bed, and the showers were fantastic. It was a pleasure to come back here every night after a busy day, knowing how comfortable we would be. Thanks to all the staff who looked after us. When we return to Amsterdam this is where we will be staying and I will be recommending it to everyone.

This hotel is so beautiful. From the moment you see it in its traditional glory and then you enter into a modern luxurious hotel. It is wonderful and the rooms are beautiful, spacious and have everything you need on a short trip. The location is perfect, right beside the train station, with an outdoor shopping facility, just a stones throw away, and a short cheap train ride to Amsterdam Central. This is the ideal spot if you want to be in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle.

There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. For the price I paid, it was worth every penny and more. You can't get luxury usually at a cheap price.

I loved our stay at this hotel! The location is superb, just a quick train ride to Amsterdam Centraal station and within walking distance from Zaandam station. The room offered a beautiful view, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and quiet—a perfect retreat after a day of exploration. The check-in and check-out process was breezy, and the facilities were clean. Additionally, the hotel's accessibility to Schiphol airport, just about 40 minutes away via train, adds to its convenience. Highly recommended!

5 mins walk from the station. Access to Zaandam with a short walk and Zaanse Schans by train. Easy to get to the city centre from train station. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have 24hr check-in after 2pm, so there was always someone at the front desk. They also stored my bags until 7pm after I checked out.

The hallway smelled a bit funny, not too bad, but not pleasant either. The breakfast was mostly ok, but not a big or varied selection. I stayed for 4nights and it was almost the same thing every day.

The hotel is in a lovely building, right near Zaandam train station. Supermarket in front of the hotel. The room was pretty spacious. It seems like the ceilings are a bit higher than the standard. Good soundproof (I have never heard any noise during my stay). The service I got from all the receptionists was EXELLENT! Thank you very much!!! The space for breakfast is beautifully designed.

IMHO, the breakfast has to be upgraded. The quality of some products should be improoved. Scrambled eggs were tasteless... One morning, I couldn't find a clean table and just cleaned it myself, as I had no time to wait. I would like to suggest improving the quality of cleaning in the room and paying attention to details I would suggest putting a soap dispenser in a shower cabin instead of tiny bottles. Too bad the floor hitting in the shower didn't work. It could improve the experience.

The room cleaning does not supply the toilet paper and the tissue timely. The coffee capsule is not supplied timely as well. I need to call the service desk to get them.

Lovely, modern rooms with comfortable beds. Zaandam is a nice and quiet town, out of the hustle and bustle and nowhere near as busy or crowded as Amsterdam! A supermarket, train station and the town centre is right opposite the Hotel. This is a great place to stay if you’re wanting to visit Amsterdam but don’t want to pay triple the price on accommodation for half the quality. Only 2 stops on the train to Amsterdam or Zaanse Schans and other neighbourhoods. Would highly recommend.

The room was clean and spacious. The location of the hotel was great for exploring as close to station - easy to get to central as well as airport. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bag drop facilities were really good. The hotel felt safe and secure.

We had to wait 2.5 hours to check in as there was a system error. Unfortunately, staff did not take people's names in order that they arrived so we ended up being the last to be checked in even though we were one of the first to arrive to check in at 2pm. Even then, at 4:30, our room had only just been cleaned. If staff had communicated that our room wouldn't be ready for another 2.5 hours we would have gone and explored and checked in later in the day. Glad it was sorted in the end.

it's my second stay at ZAAN,I love the location and the hotel it's absolutely stunning,it's always spotless and ZAANDAM is beautiful and quiet with plenty to do then its 10 minutes to the busy city centre so you get the best of both worlds. The staff are always very friendly (A special shout out to Alex the bartender - he was amazing!)and the price is always so reasonable for the standard of this hotel.

Nothing I disliked massively but last time we booked a deluxe room we got a nice bath but we didn't this time we were told they no longer have rooms with baths which is why we upgraded so it was a slight disappointment and also I'm not too keen on the new upgraded rooms there not as cosy as when they had the pink beds and red carpet, I much prefer the old rooms.

The room is very nice, from decorations and space. The hotel is modern and well serviced with 2 big elevators. The bed mattress was super super comfy. Staff are very helpful (if you ask them), and they will not approach you if you don't ask.

The room was not clean when checked in. There was a big spider web on the ceiling, and the spider was hanging on the ceiling. The web was big, it was not recent. Lighting in the bathroom was low. The room view was on a sidewalk with no privacy when opening the window. I was charged 100 euros for room insurance, which have not been refunded yet.
