Before I get there, I worried about the location because it's not the central party of Amsterdam. What a good find! Close to Windmill village and not too far from central Station in Amsterdam. 2 stops from here, only take 12 min. When You get there, mostly walkling distance for all the hot spots. Two or there nights Will cover this beautifil city.

The location is fantastic. Building is superb. inside It is clean and comfortable. good bathroom. Nice personnel. Great that They have hairdryer. Good bed with curtains for privacy. Nice kitchen with all utilities that you can use. Practical if you travel.

It is good to know that during rain season you should pack rain clothes, otherwise when you go in the city you can come soaked wet back. It is good to have umbrella with you and cover for luggage against rain.

Stuff is some kinda spiritual guides , very friendly, wise , calm and kind. Rooms are with own bathroom but it seems not everyone like it but for me it's best solution..but not everything is perfect about this bathroom. Cleaning every day. Great kitchen and terrace which is the best thing about all this! 200 meter to huge market and neiborhood is awesome! Probably BEST place in Zaandam.

Toilet in bathroom in my room was to close to sink so was super uncomfortable to sit. Common area is ultra small...well still terrace is there...but you know...you will see... Wifi is OK but sometimes unstable.

The place is close to the market and the station, the people are friendly, the place is warm and well served.

Sometimes there are too many people in the same room

The hostel is about a 9 minute walk from Zandaam train station where there are regular trains into Amsterdam and to and from Schiphol airport. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It's a great place to meet people from all over the world. The beds were cozy and warm.

The mens room felt a bit overcrowded but I guess that's what you get in many budget hostels. You need to bring your own towel and I recommend to have some ear plugs handy as there will always be at least one person snoring in the room ;)

Very pleasant staff, nice location.

Beds were too close to each other. It would be nice to clean the douche better. Ventilator was very noisy. Mosquitoes were very happy. But in total just to sleep it can work for not capricious people.

The staff was really friendly and the checkout went really smoothly. The hostel itself had a great location, with a really nice balcony.

There were some problems with the general heating in the room and of the water.

It’s cleaned daily, staff are friendly. You get a board of suggestions for places to go.

The mattresses are a little thin but not the worst.

I enjoyed my time at the Roommate hostel, mostly for the people that I met there. It was ideal for a short, affordable stay.

The shower wasn't secure to the holder so had to manually hold it. Aside from that, there are no complaints.
