Very close to a metro station, right next to a fast food restaurant if you need a quick meal, the staff were kind and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was quick and smooth. The room was small but comfortable, you don't need a huge suite if you're exploring the city all day anyway. The reception has someone there 24/7 if you need extra towels or want to buy a midnight drink or snack, and the hotel even offers umbrellas for rent, which was useful since it rained during our stay. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here, would recommend!

Wi-Fi sometimes had issues in the morning, but it is free, the water in the shower would momentarily spike up or down in temperature a little, probably when other guests flushed etc. but nothing too major.

The bed, duvet and pillows I thought were excellent, the best I have experienced in any hotel recently, very comfy.

I was not keen on some of the breakfast i.e. I love crispy bacon but it was more than crispy - it was too hard/burnt, the toaster which took 4 slices of break made the bread brick hard once you got it toasted to a decent colour so I wasn't impressed by the breakfast. We didn't realise we were a bus journey from the hotel into the centre, which didn't take long and the 22 bus was a very good service but the location of the hotel changed our holiday as we were out all day rather than coming back to the room to go back out later on; I personally prefer being in the centre; this was my fault as didn't read this properly or didn't realise the location.

Spacious room with comfortable bed and pillows. Staff were so lovely and helpful Big thanks to Gajen (sorry i don’t think i wrote is correctly)he went overboard to help us with an issue we had with our car (he helped us find a car service and arrange for us a booking (many thanks you are a star)! Also big thanks to Macieji for helping me prepare a small surprise for my husband birthday(free of charge), We really appreciate the effort this made our stay lovely. Many thanks guys xx

The bathroom it could’ve been better cleaned but overall it was a good stay.

Outstanding staff-always pleasant and helpful. Lovely room, comfortable, clean, cosy . Great facilities within the hotel and brilliant access to Amsterdam transport. Perfect location. Sustainability and service ideals of Ibis are exemplary. I had to have medications stored at reception and this was done with care and sensitivity.

I was surprised at the high cost of the stay. My NZ $ cost was $310 per night. No in room fridge, microwave, coffee. Being seniors on a tight budget don’t think I was the targeted guest. I booked through Booking.com and didn’t know about the variable daily rate.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was modern, and incredibly clean, with comfortable beds. The location was close to public transport, making it easy to explore the area. From the friendly and attentive staff to the well-kept facilities, everything was just as I hoped.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like – everything was perfect! So, really I have nothing to mention; it was a wonderful experience all around. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and quality service.

The room was comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed the huge range on offer every breakfast and the bar was great too. The little shop at reception was well stocked if you forgot to pack anything and has a selection of snacks and drinks to take to your room. The transport links were very good and despite being quite far out from the city it didn’t take long to get into Amsterdam.

Just small things but it would have been nice to be able to take meals to your room.

The room was nice and comfy. The bed was good to sleep on and the pillows are also good. The location is not too far and it's pretty quiet so that's also nice for someone who likes being in a more calm setting.

The only thing i didn't like was the AC sometimes didn't work as efficien,it wasn't bad but i feel like maybe it just needs a look at. And also i would want to have a trashbin in the room itself,not only one in the shower. I think a lot of people would appreciate that. (Just a suggestion)

The room was small but clean, with a desk and chair for working at the window. The bathroom was small but fully equipped, and great shower pressure. The staff were always very polite and helpful.

The hotel was at full occupancy and the 2 lifts were not enough to cope with the traffic, so we often had to wait for multiple lifts until there was space in one. Breakfast was good but overpriced.

For starters, the 24 hours check in available gives you great flexibility. The bar at the ground floor is really nice and is open until midnight (perfect for a late drink before bed). The room was of a good size, nice designed, and cosy. I would recommend the breakfast if like me you want to save a bit of money - classic continental breakfast with plenty of choices. Although the location isn’t central, there are good connections to the city centre via bus and underground. Overall I think ibis Amsterdam City West is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a budget option that doesn’t compromise comfort.

The toilet. It’s the classic toilet you will find in most ibis. Just not a fan of it. The lift was extremely slow at times.

The stay was actually pleasant. Little room for storage in the room, and the toilet felt like a boat bathroom, but otherwise, ok.

They have zero flexibility and showed no interest in helping me out. Tried cancelling the booking 30 min after making it (over a month before the stay). No. Asked if I could transfer it to a friend. No. Requested 2 single beds instead of a big one. No. All of that with cold, robotic answers (by humans). No need to be like this. At the very least, answer messages like a proper human being.
