the hostel vibe is nice. they got enough space for people to hang up around and chill. Plus they got a kitchen fwith enough facilities so you can coook if you want. A lidl is just next door making it very handy to get grocessaries.

The toilets are not very satisfying. We had bad luck when some of the toilets were broken so there were not enough available for all people staying there. A stranger thing is that there was only hot water available in the shower. Not sure why, but quite strange and unfortune. would be a great improvement to fix it.

Staff members were very friendly, nicely equipped communal kitchen, toilets and shower rooms always clean and also well equipped, I had no problems at all during my stay there and that means it’s secure, vending machine with snacks, water, beverages and cold beer for a fair price, good tv room and lobby with lots of tables and couches to have your meal and chat with friends, very fast WiFi didn’t failed not even once, Lidl literally across the street makes it perfect to buy everything you need, easily access to coffee shops, buses, trams and trains, in resume definitely will stay there again when I get back to Amsterdam 🥰

I booked the capsule for 6 days and I spotted quite bit of dust and hairs around my mattress on the first day, nothing major but a little more care with this would be nice, nothing that a good hoovering can’t fix when exchanging sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers 😉

The pictures are a real depiction of how the place actually looks like, the bathrooms, kitchen and rooms were clean, with rooms and shared spaces for resting, even though they were a bit small. Additionally, the staff is very welcoming and nice, with everything you might need available in the hostel. They offer paid towels, padlocks, flipflops, toothbrushes and everything else you might need. Lastly, there are restaurants nearby and also a LIDL right in front of the hostel, which makes it very convenient to stay there, considering that downtown is a bit far from the hostel.

The main thing I did not like is the location, the hostel is far from downtown, we are speaking of 30 to 40 minutes minimum before you reach any of the main attractions. And when you are travelling, one to two hours per day in the public transport is really not in your bucket list, but other than that I would very much stay there again.

Kitchen was quite spacious, staff was kind and place was kept very clean. Big common area in reception where they also sold beers. Supermarket right in front of the hostel. Bathrooms were clean (but the showers didn't have much pressure

Location is a little bit far from the center, but for the price is worthy, and with bikes it's easy to cycle to the center going through beautiful parks as well.

Great spot, close to Sloterdijk station which is easy transport to and from the airport. There is a nice lounge room and kitchen, and space to chill or smoke outside. Also has bikes for rent and can do washing. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Beds were good each with a plug and small shelf also. Also lockers under the bed. Heating was good throughout. Is an easy bike to the city centre and directly next to a small super market.

Seperate toilets and showers which was good- but showers was a push button to turn on which you had to keep pressing every 10 seconds or so. Temp was not great and could only be changed by staff.

I liked how friendly the staff was and the vibe right when you walk through the doors. The facilities were so much better than previous places stayed at. The whole entire place was clean and inviting.

The rooms got a little warm during the night, and with being on the first floor, we could not open the windows due to signs saying not to for safety. The bed felt a little slanted when sleeping, felt like I was going to roll off. And lastly but unavoidable, just some roommates not respecting quiet time and sleeping.

The dedication the staff has for their work, is amazing; attenful, focused and very friendly. The hostel rooms and beds are mostly tightly clean. Enough shower rooms with good functioning waterlines. And the lobby is a relaxed atmosphere where people can relax before going or leaving. Or just chill and hang around and Blase is as always a gracious host

Booked two beds in a room of 12 people, but honestly didn’t feel like 12 people were staying there. The bar seems lively, but our room didn’t hear any noise at night. Reception is open 24 hours a day, so the flexible check in and check out times were a big plus. The receptionists were also very helpful and nice. The kitchen is fully equipped too. We were offered free towels instead of renting, which was a nice surprise. The shower and toilets were clean and were empty or newly empty when I used them, but then again I was staying during December, which didn’t seem like peak travel times.

Nothing, it was good

I stayed at Dutchies Hostel for 1 night (28–29 July), and I had a great experience! The kitchen is very nice and well-equipped. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a peaceful sleep – the place is quiet and relaxing. Everything was comfortable and well arranged. A special thanks to Merel, one of the staff members – she was very kind, respectful, and has a warm heart. Her behavior was excellent, and she made my stay even better. Thank you, Dutchies Hostel

Really, not bad. Everything is better.

Having never stayed in a hostel before I was a bit nervous about my stay, but had no choice as my flight was cancelled and I could not get a room in a hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable my bed was. I thought the toilets and showers were well kept with plenty of hot water. The staff were also caring and helpful, offering to help me with my luggage, and noise was kept to a minimum at night too. As a result I feel more confident about staying at a hostel like Dutchies in the future
