Charming B&B in a beautiful old house. The breakfast was amazing. Friendly staff.

Thin, rattling windows. Some traffic noise.

We LOVED everything about this B&B except the beds, which were far too soft for us. There are lots of comments about the beds being comfortable, so either it's just us or the beds in this room were different. It's difficult to give a 10 when you woke up each morning with a very sore back. Leaving that aside, Jeannine is a wonderful hostess. Breakfasts were fabulous. Such a privilege to stay in a house built in 1530.

Efficient check-in. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice spacious room. In spite of being located at the street side of the building, not noisy. Located in the old part of Middelburg surrounded by cosy little streets, walking distance from the city center. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast!

No elevator in the hotel. But then again, it is an old characteristic building, so you would not expect an elevator. However, it makes it less accessible for older people or people with reduced mobility.

Friendly welcome and happy to accommodate our strange request to leave v v early. Offered to make us a takeaway breakfast. Room was stylish & comfortable. Location is excellent. Communication excellent.

The stairs to the top level are a little daunting. If you are elderly you may want to make it known at time of booking and seek a lower floor.

Conveniently located, lovely establishment with well-sized bedrooms, nice breakfast and super service. Jeanine was very friendly and helpful and even Carried our oversized luggage up and down very steep and narrow stairs

There is no lift. Problematic if you have mobility issues - the stairs are very steep and narrow

This is a well-kept B&B property, newly renovated. Jeanine has done a great job with the details and was incredibly accommodating to our schedule. She greeted us warmly and helped us with luggage. The garden area allowed for quiet visiting with our group and the drinks were good. The beds were comfortable and nicely finished. The breakfast was fabulous! The location is out of the way of the city center so it is quiet, but everything is in good walking distance. Having air conditioning in each room was appreciated. We felt like we were the only group present even though there were no vacancies. Jeanine allowed us to store our heavy luggage in her office, which was nice.

Be prepared to have steep staircases with heavy luggage. This isn’t a dislike because this the way older style Dutch homes are, but do be prepared.

You could also eat outside when the weather was nice. We had a chance to do that on one of the days of our stay and it was wonderful. The quality of the breakfast is exceptional. While it is the same for everyone, just like a real "B&B", it has enough options that you can pick and choose to your liking. The staff is very accommodating, friendly and profession. You feel at home.

The staff communicated consistently after booking and asked if I had any special requests. The breakfast was excellent in a stylish yet traditional dining room. The staff were very friendly and helped me arrange a nice surprise for my partner's birthday during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the shower had relatively strong water pressure. Tea and coffee were available in the room which made for a nice way to start the day before the tasty breakfast.

The steep stairs to access the upper floors are impressive but unsuitable for people with physical disabilities. There was no in-room safe (or I didn't notice one), which was not a big problem, but most travel insurance providers don't cover valuables not kept in a safe. There was free wifi, and although the signal was weak it was good enough to do a few simple tasks.

The owner has done a great job transforming this property into comfortable, relatively spacious, pretty rooms. It is easy to tell she values tending to the details. Our breakfast was fabulous and such a nice way to start the day!

Extremely helpful staff. Steep staircase (as can often be found in Holland) but helped by staff with luggage. Breakfast variations each morning with local produce. A short walk to the centre.
