I have recently been trying to make an effort to stay in small locally run businesses instead of big cooperate entities. My wonderful few days stay in this very small family run hotel was 100% perfect. Absolutely quiet and peaceful in this beautiful little community garden. I woke up very early on Saturday am to a full symphony of birds! What a very special treat. Easter Sunday I had the whole place to myself to catch up on journaling in the sunny courtyard with all the birds and all the comings and goings into and out of the multitude of individual hand painted birdhouses in the garden. I just could not have asked for a better weekend then staying at this simple, super clean wonderful little country getaway. There is just nothing better then having a hand picked breakfast and really good capuchino made by a human not a push button machine and sharing a real conversation with a local family who run this little retreat and actually care about your stay. Uber is readily available here for all your trips to explore nearby towns when you have had enough peace and quiet and birds!

Lovely hotel, away from the hustle and bustle. Really nice location, central to various parts of NL. Hotel itself is spotless and impeccably decorated. Room we had was 14, very spacious family room. Bathroom huge. Breakfast lovely. View while eating, was of woodland and their chickens mooching about which is a lovely touch. Can see a variety of other animals on neighbouring farm. Dotted around the grounds are numerous lovely bird houses. Huge bug hotel. The owners, father and son I believe, were wonderfully friendly and helpful. They both go beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I could go on but all in all, I’d say exceptional. I would highly recommend.

Everyone was so friendly and genuinely engaged with our children (9 and 11) at breakfast, asking them questions about the trip and making them feel like welcome, valued guests. We were all so well looked after but I note this as it’s not always the case when you travel with children & young people, but really helped the visit to feel extra special. The chickens on site were a delight, the food was excellent, there are some lovely walks in the area and the accommodation was beautiful, clean, spacious and great value for money. The hotel was also just a short drive from our final destination, Efterling, and our stay ensured we were well rested, well fed, happy and full of the warmth of our hosts as we arrived for a big day of fairytales, adventures and rides. It was the perfect start to the holiday!

Host was extremely kind, warm and friendly. The room was exceptional, very large and comfortable. Perfect for travelling with kids. Check in and checkout was simple, keys were left in our room which worked well as we arrived late. Breakfast was beautiful, lovely selection of food and lovely seating area with views of chickens.

Clean and spacious room. All facilities are available, even a common microwave if you want to warm food. Great communication with staff. Nice option if you are visiting Efteling.

Breakfast should be improved , there is not a singel item that is prepared warm only boiled eggs. A wending machine with water bottles and snacks will help at night as there is not much around the hotel.

It was close to Efteling. The room was big enough for 5 people. Online check-in was convenient, but we couldn't find any information in the room except the password for WiFi. It would be nice if there was information about check-out time and breakfast time in the room.

The area around the shower booth became like a pond. We had to use all the towels to wipe up the overflowing water. That was terrible and should be checked by the staff. There were some cushions per bed, but I doubt how often they were washed.

The hotel was beautiful and well located with friendly staff and delicious breakfast. The room was very spacious, and it had a dining table and fridge and coffee/tea making facilities.

One thing that could be improved was the insulation at the bottom of the shower.

The location was a bit remote, but for us family of 4, visiting the Efteling, this was sufficient. The room was super clean and spacious (perhaps overly spacious, I bet two rooms could be created out of the massive space). The employee working at the reception was friendly and hospitable!

Room was too hot, and it wasn't possible to regulate the room temperature.

The property is located in a small town 10 minutes by car from the Efteling attraction park. Our room was almost like a big apartment, so much bigger than we expected. The beds were super comfortable. Everything was clean. Coffee and tea were on the house. It also has a small fridge. We had a big TV and plenty of children books and board games. It's an excellent place to stay with children. Coop supermarket is 5 min by car.

No one met us at the reception. I had to call to a phone number and they gave me the number of the room. There was also nobody upon checkout. I missed the personal touch. The window shade from the main bedroom did a terrible noise because of the wind at night, I almost did not sleep because of it. Bear in mind there are no kitchen facilities and very limited options to eat out with children or have food delivered. Seen the amount of space, I would suggest to provide at least a very basic kitchen facility: a couple of warming plates and a sink would do the trick.

Fantastic venue. we will be back. The setting was just what we were hoping for. The staff our lovely, the atmosphere is lovely. So much better than the big hotels with their mass production of things.. and impersonal atmosphere. Love this place.
