Everything was fantastic. It was floor to ceiling and wall to wall a delightful sensory experience!. There were exquisite paintings, art books, and interior decor that could be explored at leisure. We also hired hotel bikes and cycled into Harlem for a day trip, which was also so good and definitely one to return to and repeat in the future.

It took some time for the owner to come to reception when we arrived - we arrived late and were concerned stagflation had left for the day but we were eventually greeted by the host and shown to our room and the honesty bar.

The property is beautiful. The location is so close to Amsterdam and yet feel so remote which is a good thing. Lovely for a weekend away! The food is amazing (can be a bit more though in terms of selection and amount) and the staff are super helpful. The gift shop has great, useful and unique items from local designers.

It can provide a bit more amenities like a more updated bathroom (while maintaining its current classic decor), more toiletries like lotion and bit of a cleaner fresher feel. And a fan in summer. Not sure how warm these will be in the winter as it’s an old and lovely house!

The only complaint I have which is not about the estate directly is the horse riding club outside. We observed one of the horses acting up and trying to gain the attention of the keepers and we just felt really bad for the horse. It might be important to say here that I think the exploitation and monetisation of animals is bad in any circumstance.

High quality food, truly above expectations. Best vegan hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. So fresh and friendly staff. Beautiful grounds and green views.

Food and service were amazing but the room needed maintenance on a door knob and there was an empty tea canister. Small details that would make the difference between 9 and 10 stars.

A unique hotel set in an extraordinary countryside location. The experience was wonderful — the staff were welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, and each room had its own special design. as the building is old, the floors squeak and you hear people walking around. It is part of the experience. Good thing is, they provide you ear plugs, and we were able to sleep. It is a trade off for such a great experience.

Stunning building set in beautiful surroundings with wild flower meadows and nearby woodland. The coffee and round cake thing on a stick was out of this world.

The room had plastic chairs (it’s an eco hotel) and there was no requested gluten free substitute for the flatbreads.

Beautiful location and pretty quiet considering it's close to roads. Love the house - just my style - and the attic room was really nicely decorated. Comfortable bed. I stayed midweek and considering it is an old house it was peaceful. All the guests were considerate of each other. Look forward to staying again on my next trip over.

One night in this beautiful 18th century rococo mansion on our way to Alkmaar. In original condition and not spoilt by over-renovating. Our 2 b/r family room was fantastic. A shame we couldn't stay longer as we didn't get to have dinner here. The dining room is gorgeous. We did enjoy a beautifully crafted gin & tonic later in the evening in the dimly lit ornate sitting room which was a very pleasant experience. Love to come back.
