Did not know what to expect, but a blast from the past period furniture. The staff were accommodating and very friendly, all of the staff were professional and attentive. smiling faces. We had what was called bar snacks but was a meal, one of our party had a serious food allergy the kitchen and the manager arranged that food to be produced first so no cross contamination. If whiskey, whisky or craft beer is required the staff know their trade and a large stock to help select. Breakfast was of good quality thank you. Biker Friendly

Not what I didn;t like but there were steep stair to the bedrooms

I liked the bar and the garden, room had some nice old style I liked. I had view at garden, no traffic and very quiet.

Every time I needed to lgo out I needed to leave my key at reception and then after midnight you need to ring when you wanna go inside. If you are smoker it is little bit uncomfortable and limiting. Also my partner were coming late(we had buissnis dinner) and I let him in and immidiatly somebody came asking whats going on and I register for 2 person. Bathroom was small but it was ok, and there were no ac but they got big fan.

Lovely big room, with en suite shower room, comfortable bed. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I stayed in room 4, and I personally would have preferred the stairs to have a bit more light on them - they were quite steep and turned at the top, and I think it would have been a bit better to have a light in this hall way.

We arrived in Zwolle to attend a friend’s wedding. Our First time in Europe from the United States (Massachusetts). Our friend recommended Hotel Fidder Loved everything about this property and the north or hood. What a beautiful place to stay. The outdoor terrace in the shade garden was a perfect place to spend some time. Patrick’s Whiskey Bar was a bonus. The room and the hotel were exceptionally clean and well cared for. Breakfast in the dining room was incredible. We can’t say enough about the staff. Very friendly and helpful. A short walk into city where we enjoyed shopping and watching everyone on bicycles. Can’t wait to get back!

It is very quirky and interesting. Unique and one of a kind but also has everything you need and expect from a regular hotel. Close to Zwolle within walking distance and the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and the beds are superb!

There wasn’t anything in particular we didn’t like.

The decor was early 1900s, stylish and elegant with many period pieces of furniture. Lovely little nooks created warm and inviting private spaces to sit and soak up the atmosphere. The Whisky Bar was decorated with all kinds of bric a brac that added character, and Angel, the young lady tending it, was warm, friendly and competent. I spent two memorable days there and I was sad to leave.

Unfortunately,the only downside was the shower in Rm28, which was very small and leaked water onto the rest of the bathroom floor.

Lovely traditional hotel in a quiet residential area a short walk from the train station. Individually styled rooms with antique furniture - and exceptionally comfy bed - and modern bathroom fittings (we had a large walk-in shower) - worth the climb up the steep stairs (no lift). Very clean and spacious room. Buffet breakfast excellent - great choice of hot and cold dishes. Hotel also has a bar known for its amazing selection of whiskey - which my husband sampled each night as a nightcap treat. Special mention for the first-class staff who go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

A nicely decorated hotel, cool whiskey bar with so much whiskeys there and with a beautiful interior! The breakfast was very good, and the whiskey tasting was very nice as well. The staff is helpful and kind.

The room was nicely decorated but the facilities were a bit outdated. Would be nice to have some vegetables for breakfast.

We liked the old-fashioned atmosphere, yet the facilities left nothing to be desired. Unfortunately, we had had too much wine during our meal to try the infra-red sauna. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The decorations were amazing, from the woodcarved bed to the Tiffany style lamps and the fireplace in the breakfast serving room. Everything in good taste and placed where it would bring most value. The breakfast was also very good. The city center is easily accessible by foot.

Breakfast could use some vegetables and fruits to be complete. There is no elevator, although I can understand for old Dutch buildings it is difficult to install one as they were made to have just stairs.
