We had a marvellous stay at Hotel ‘Le Lagon’. Nothing could have been better. The outstanding aspect was the staff: they were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful (and - helpful for us - spoke excellent English). I accidentally left my Passport for a side trip to an island in the stored away luggage and Thomas amazingly organised for a driver to bring me my suitcase to the airport. I cannot think of many hotels in the world that would do this for you; this was above and beyond what you could expect from a hotel. They also helped us organise excursions by bus, boat and private driver, transport to the airport and more. There is an excellent sauna, as well as pool and spa, on the first floor and the rooms have a large, comfortable bed. Small touches, like water with mint or orange (changing daily!) upon arrival made us feel special and looked after.

Super friendly and helpful staff, organised a super early check in for us. Always on hand to advise and book things for us. Room not huge but great with a mini kitchen and microwave, nice decor. Bed was super comfy..and I’m a fussy sleeper. Close to beach and facilities, cafes and shops. Small fitness centre with some Nautilus equipment and treadmill, too lazy to use it though so not sure of functionality of equipment. Highly recommend for a short stay.

Pool was small, we only went for a quick dip so didn’t concern us, but considering the beaches are closed at present would be nice to have a larger pool. Also the spa didn’t work at all, no bubbles and only one jet working. Roadworks all around Anse Vata at present but the double glazed windows were great , some noise but that’s expected….jobs gotta be done and nothing the hotel is responsible for. Otherwise very happy.

Excellent attentive and friendly staff. Very helpful with queries and were fluent in English. The hotel is in an ideal location near the beach and grocery stores. Great value for money. We made use of the pool and sauna facilities.

We had a road-view room and construction works were taking place the whole time during our stay. There would be sound even through closed doors/windows. Also, there could be more privacy with the bathroom - the sliding door did not work properly.

The staff at Hotel Le Lagon were exceptional and gave such great service! They were really helpful in assisting my friends and I, who don't speak French, book day trips, taxis and shuttle buses. The location is also perfect, being right next door to the main beach, bus stops, great restaurants and cafes, a fabulous bakery, a pharmacy, mini supermarkets and retails stores. The location is also great for the water taxi to Ile Aux Canards and the aquarium. The rooms were comfy and the air-conditioning was a life saver! The pool was nice but small. I also loved the little aquarium in the lobby.

The twin rooms were a bit cramped.

The staff were extremely helpful prior to our arrival - answering all concerns regarding travelling overseas with our small children and organising an airport transfer. The pool is fantastic - perfect temperature and lovely seating area. Rooms are very generously sized with very comfortable beds and quiet, efficient air conditioning. Location is perfect - only a couple of minutes walk to Anse Vata beach (water taxi to Duck island), and Malonga Cafe (very good coffee). Convenience store next to pharmacy (next door) is very well stocked.

Kitchenette facilities for a family room for a week could be better -no toaster, cooktop etc. Fridge has small freezer, but it isn't a separate compartment so not great. There is free wifi, but it drops out constantly and not at all reliable. Instead, I recommend Pocket Wifi NC which can be pre-ordered and collected from airport or delivered to hotel - its a 3G/4G modem - works out much cheaper than a sim card. Breakfast buffet is very expensive so didn't try. Organise your own airport pickup - turns out they book the shared bus by Arc en Ciel - cheaper to do it yourself.

Great location and very spacious.

It would be great if the front desk was more informed on how to use transport in the city. They did excellent on the hotel transfer, but on how to arrange local bus tickets or hop-on-hop off tours would be extremely valuable for the customers. The breakfast price was very expensive for what you got, so it was definitely skipped for a stop at a cafe.

Lovely little hotel. Perfect hotel for relaxation and close to some nice restaurants. There is a bus stop just around the corner giving easy and affordable access to the city centre. The hotel can provide you with a day pass, just ask at reception. We really enjoyed our stay. Merci, Hôtel Le Lagon :).

Good option for a 3 star hotel. The biggest highlight for me was the staff. They were great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool as well. The photos of the room were accurate too. They have bikes to rent and you can book tours directly with them.

Overall good. A few additions in the room would be welcome, like USB port to recharge devices and a coffee french press. Bear in mind there is a road renovation close to the hotel but didn't bother us too much.

We stayed on 2 occasions and each time the pool was ver nice and warm, 28 degree, so was the spa-36. The staff were all excellent and very helpful. We used the laundry and washing machine dryer worked really well. The beds were very comfortable! There is a free aquagym class for the client we were very welcome by the regular participants and it was fun. There are lots of restaurants and shops just minutes down the road and the beach.
