Great value for money! The chalet was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, even though the furnishings were a bit older. The kitchen had all we needed for a short stay, and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent—just a short drive from the center of Twizel and close to grocery stores and fuel stations. Check-in and check-out were easy, and we had everything we needed.

The only minor issue was adjusting the hot water, which wasn’t always consistent. But it didn’t affect our overall experience. We had a great stay and would happily return.

Had to book somewhere because two of us couldn’t stay in Mueller Hut anymore. This one came up last minute and we were stoked, pretty easy from the highway and the drive wasn’t as far as we thought from Mount Cook (mostly because it was so scenic we didn’t mind). The guy who served us was super nice too and there was a cafe and playground next door.

Was happy with it, Kitchen had a microwave and toaster which was all we needed anyway. The soap dispenser only gave out shampoo (as in both dispensers were labelled shampoo, haha) but again minor detail, we were just happy with showers and had brought our own soap and stuff.

We had a very comfortable stay here for one night on the way from Wanaka to Mount Cook and Tekapo. The attractive chalets (we were allocated one with the "L" of "MOTEL" on it) are very well equipped for self-catering and for large groups there is plenty of sleeping space upstairs. It's a short walk into Twizel village where you will find no fewer than two Four Square supermarkets, which seems more than one would expect in such a small place. Even better, on the grass beyond the motel there is a display of machinery used to construct the hydro-electric power infrastructure in the locality in the 1960s. It's well worth a walk around.

The chalet was spacious and well-designed, with a two-story layout featuring two beds upstairs and a large bedroom on the ground floor along with all necessary facilities. The location is fantastic, with easy drives to Lakes Pukaki, Tekapo, Ohau, and Mount Cook. The staff were exceptional—they kept my delayed luggage safe until I could collect it, even with my late check-in. The proximity to several eateries was another big plus.

Honestly, I couldn’t think of any complaints—everything was excellent.

This is a two-bedroom house in Twizel, not beside the Motel. We had two comfortable queen-sized beds, a bathroom with a wet room shower with excellent pressure, a toilet plus a separate toilet, a washing machine, and a dryer. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. The open-plan lounge was large and spacious, with a good-sized TV. We were very happy with our stay and would book again.

We could not see a street number on the property. It would help if it was more visible.

We booked the place as we will be doing a trail at Mt Cook and the location was perfect. It was close the Mount Cook, the salmon shops and Twizel town. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The place has a small kitchen to prepare meal, enough for one person to be in. There is also enough space to park our car. The area was quiet and peaceful too. I would recommend the place for a couple of small group of friends!

We could not develop the art of controlling the hot water in the shower - a little more practice is needed. Other than that, all was good!

Location was great. It was quiet and very handy to the main centre of Twizel. A great area to be based if doing day trips to Mt Cook and Lake Telapo. Thete were free laundry facilities. Good location for young families as well.

The water saver shower was a bit ordinary. The kitchen cold tap was so drippy we turned it off as tightly as we could and didnt use it again. We used the tap in the bathroom instead.

Staff are always friendly. Nice big rooms which are perfect for families! Great location- walking distance from everything you need in Twizel, and nice and close to Mount Cook. Heatpump was amazing and kept the rooms cosy. Super handy having a full kitchen too.

Laundry room was out of order. Tv in our room was out of order. The bathrooms are very dated… but the price is fair.

Good chalets with all the amenities needed and beds was comfortable with heating. Close to fuel stations, restaurants and supermarkets. Very pleasant location and close to highway as well. We liked the place and town. Beautiful it is.

Shower is not suitable kids. Very old fashioned either you will too cold water or too hot water. Host informed us that they are processing of upgrade. Otherwise all fantastic

What a lovely place to stay! A gorgeous chalet and we had plenty of room to spread out. Lots of things included in the kitchen.

The tap running in the bathroom sink - not just dripping but running. We could not turn it off. It must have needed a replacement washer. The lady at reception said she would leave a note for the owner and they don't pay for water. The entire night we heard water pouring down the drain which doesn't sit well with us with water being a precious resource.
