We were lucky enough to have a 2BRM unit which had been refurbished and was perfect for 2 couples to share the kitchen in the middle of our rooms. The King Bedroom was huge and a lovely big bed - each room had a fridge and also one in the kitchen. Wayne was great to deal with when I first contacted about the booking then Dave was there during the weekend - they were both brilliant and happy to do anything for us & was a busy Waitangi weekend so thank you both and will definitely be back.

Can't think of much - oh maybe a swimming pool when they do the refurbishment 😅

The rooms are quite spacious and location is perfect if you want to visit Mt Cook and the lakes. The cleanliness is good inside the rooms. The room has got all the stuff that we need for a comfortable stay. It does have a game room as well which we couldn't use much due to limited time. The staff was helpful and responsive for any queries and doubts.

This property has a lot of potential. If they look after some small things, this will be a top class property. A small thing like - they have separate taps for hot and cold water in some wash basins, which doesn't help when you want to use warm water. But overall not much to complain about.

Very nice common space with amazing views of the mountains.. The atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing and reminded us of our old family house (outdated but clean and feels quite homey). The general manager and team are doing their best to restart this hotel after the prolonged closure during Covid

Staff was outstanding, very friendly, very welcoming, very helpful. Big spread for breakfast to please all tastes.

Rooms need updating but I believe it's work in progress. Having said that, rooms are spacious and comfortable

Lounge room spacious and with free board games, nice big windows in the rooms. Clean linen and towels.

Some things in the room were broken, like the curtains (torn) and the beds were so soft that you would sink in it.

The location was good and about 10 min walk to main shopping area, ie pub, coffee, groceries.

Was quiet and peaceful . Easy access and parking.

I’m not a fan of too soft beds and we would have enjoyed a door in between the vanity and the bedroom

The surrounding view is superb, hotel facilities might be old but well kept and enough for a comfy stay. Delicious breakfast!

When we got there it looked a little dated, but the staff were very friendly, the room was large and everything was very clean.

My single bed was very narrow for an adult. Pillows in double bed too hard
