it was good location fully equipped self serviced room. had everything needed for our stay with young kids close to mount cook and 10 min drive to lake pukaki for night tome star gazing

we stayed 2 nights and with the room service the next day i think they only changed towels. no beds were made or toilets wiped and refreshed. also there was a laundry option but we had no nz$ traveing from australia and didn’t need it as card was accepted everywhere but the staff would not zaccept card of charge it on room and lastly accepted to charge double if we wanted to pay by card

We chose to stay here rather than at Mount Cook because of the cost saving. The day-trip to Mount Cook was excellent. There was a small supermarket within walking distance of the motel which provided us with our dinner needs. The room had all the facilities we needed and was well heated (The temperature was -4 degrees Celsius one morning).

The reception was only open for very limited times during our visit. We only got to talk to anyone on check-in at 5 30pm. It closed 5 minutes after we arrived and was not open at any other time while we were there..

Clean, comfortable room and parking. We stayed in upstairs room. Kitchenette had a microwave, kettle and fridge. Individual milk pods provided for tea/coffee. Called reception to get change for washing machine and staff member arrived within 15 mins. Washing machine took 45 mins for $4 and cost $3 for laundry powder (not $1 mentioned in room info). We enjoyed dinner at High Country Salmon just down the road (booked a table online).

The heated towel rail didn’t seem to be working, but probably not needed during summer

Within easy walking distance to Twizel village & cafes. Adequate cooking facilities - a plug-in double hob, air fryer, microwave & toaster. The heater warmed the unit well in cold conditions but there were no instructions on how to operate it (some people may have difficulty). Comfortable sofa for 2 and the unit felt spacious. A laundry for guests was useful with a 'delicate' setting for both washing machine and drier

The double bed mattress was inclined to 'roll together'

Great quiet location, friendly staff. Great location after a day in the Mt Cook National Park. Loved the option of using the air fryer in the kitchen, would have made cooking so easy if I’d brought more supplies - the local 4 square was pretty pricy and didn’t have many easy meal options, so I ate out.

Loved arriving into a warm room, but the portable heater really struggled with the -6 degree temps outside, so wasn’t the warmest overnight. Twizel winters are brutal!

Great that our unit was stand-alone and we could park close to the front door. It was spacious enough and the verandah was lovely to sit on and have an afternoon drink in the sun. Bed was comfortable, Shower was hot and great water pressure and the heater worked well. Photos on booking.com were accurate. Walking distance to restaurant and supermarkets. We walked to the local trail and around the lake. Really enjoyed this spot and a great base to do Mt Cook adventures.

This was one of the best places we stayed during our trip in NZ. Our suite was so spacious and comfortable. The only flaw was that the room was a bit dusty, which triggered my allergies. However, from our own experience in the car, the whole area is pretty dusty overall, which is not their fault. Everything else was spotless. It has everything a person might need, as it is fully contained. We just didn't make more use of the kitchen because the area had so many lovely places to eat out.

The staff is nice and considerate. We arrived late, it was not office hours, but received both handwritten message and online message in my booking account. They gave us clear instructions on where to park, how to get into our room etc. The view from our room is nice, although we spent most of our time in Mt. Cook, it is a plus. We enjoyed the morning coffee and view before driving to Mt. Cook. They have many facilities that make our stay there very convenient, including all kitchen facilities, fridge, microwave oven, and even toaster. What most impressed us is they even have washing machine and drying rack in the room, saving your money and time for laundry. The location is good, near to the supermarket and restaurants. They assign a parking lot to each room, so there is no need to worry about the parking.

Nothing much to complain about. The only thing is that due to the wooden structure, there is noise of floor cracking when walking around in the room, but we were not bothered by this too much.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was quiet and convenient—perfect for exploring the surrounding areas like Mount Cook and Lake Pukaki. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, making check-in easy and smooth.

There wasn’t anything we really disliked. Maybe just that the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak in some areas of the room, but it wasn’t a big issue

Nicely furnished, clean and central apartment. Reception staff were very helpful and accommodating to our needs in relation to late arrival. An excellent stop if wanting to do the Hooker Valley/Mt Aoraki /mt cook area and would stay again.

There were a list of charges and rules, one of which was an additional charge for every hour past check in. i think it was something like 25/50 NZ which seemed a bit much. We made sure we were out on the dot but felt like the cleaning staff were eyeing us up for a charge, - probably just us feeling paranoid as they were friendly, polite and courteous
