Beautiful surroundings, great cross country skiing. Super nice main house for relaxation, eating, and drinking. The staff was friendly, service was good. The food was exceptional, but expensive for dinners, ending up costing as much as lodging, still well worth it. Guest house flat was not the best suited for winter sports, with no real entre for talking off ski clothes or boots, but otherwise great for the three of us. No room service, but helpful staff for replacement trowels on inquiry. Overall excellent stay, would love to come back.

Dangerous icy conditions outside room to main house. Pool was surrounded by pure ice, quite scary, but awesome to bathe in pool and relaxing in sauna.

Very nice hotel with rooms like small apartments, with a stove and cooking possibilities. Cozy, warm rooms with floor heating. Great place to stay for a winter vacation, for cross-country skiing, for example. The ski tracks are directly outside the hotel buildings, which are all wonderfully decorated in traditional Norwegian way. Delicious breakfast, but be fast - the breakfast is until 10, but if you come at 9:40, many tasty things are already gone!

The food accommodations they provided for vegetarians and pescatarians were not really enough. Instead of serving a main dish like pasta with non-meat sauce, they served cauliflower. That is not necessary protein like fish. New Year’s Eve dinner (800+ Norwegian krone) the main dish was deer and I asked for a non-meat main dish. They served me cauliflower again. Not acceptable

Everything was perfect, the apartment was nice and cost and had a beautiful view, location was great so you could start cross country skiing right from the hotel. Food was excellent in the restaurant, but also the little kitchen in the apartment was perfectly equipped to prepare snacks

We had a great stay at Ilsetra. We absolutely love the location!!! The staff were very responsive and made us feel very welcome. Apartments are small but have everything you need. Breakfast is very good as well. We will definitely return next year!!

Room is rather small, breakfast portion is limited even though is buffet type. Pastry was very nice but no refill.

Very nice location. Friendly staff. Good food. Possible to bike in and out of the bike-park, if you're into mountainbiking.

The apartments are rather small, but the lay-out is very efficient, so it did not bother us (family of four)

Exceptionally beautiful location - charming main house with lovely rest areas and gorgeous views of the snow covered mountains. 2 bedroom appartment hood size for a family of four. Nice pool and sauna. Very nice staff that did more than could be expected to help make our stay a great experience.
