Staff was very kind and the breakfast was great, the room was quite big also and with comfortable mattress. All super clean and in good shape, our room had even the boots dryer which is a nice touch considering we were mainly for doing snowboard/ski. The place is antique but in a good sense, it gives a nice vibe and you can feel you are staying in a historic place. Location was also good, with different stores and restaurant options on walking distance. For the smaller ones there was also a playground where they can have some fun for a few extra money, it would be nice if they could offer nanny service so parents can both enjoy the mountain :) If you go for ski/snowboard, the lift is around 8-10 mins walking. (800 - 900 mts)
A bit noisy in the mornings, kinda expected as everyone were using ski boots, but as the place is old is not very sound insulated. But if you want to start the day early is not a huge deal.

Excellent breakfast with great variety next to a fireplace. Cozy hotel. Friendly staff, great chill/play/game rooms which we enjoyed a lot after skiing. The shuffle board was a hit! Huge playarea open on evenings which was fun for the kids. Great atmosphere.
We had a double room with sofa bed which was just too small for 2 adults, one teen and one kid. Really uncomfortable, didnt have space for luggage moving around in the room. Hotel was very busy and we nearly didn’t get a table even tough we waited until after 7p.m as told. We were 9 (two families) and there was no option to sit together. Next night we got a much better table next to each other so staff tried to accomodate our needs.

Very good location: steps to bus stop, not far from ski slopes. Charming from outside. Wooden fasade, white decorations. Cosy inside. Fireplaces, wild animal, village utilieties on the walls, candels lights, bees houses. Very good lardge kidsroom. Tasty breakfast. Coffee and tea available all day. Library with sofas, tables, chairs for sitting in groups and spend time playing board games and sipping coctails.
bunker bed for kids was not comfortable. The was no shoes dryer in our room (in friend's room it was)

The hotel has a lot of character, nice and warm atmosphere, the staff is very welcoming and helpful. The food was good, the room clean and had everything that you need, including a kettle, a device to warm your ski boots, fridge. The hotel is placed in the town centre, it is close to the ski lift, ski rental, bus stop, there is plenty of parking and shops around.
The room that I got had the view blocked by the stairs and the ventilation was quite noisy.

Excellent location as close to slopes 10 minutes walk! Breakfast was good too, something for everyone! Our room was always cleaned to perfection. Reception staff welcoming and helpful. Restaurant staff also always pleasant. Chef was kind enough to make a tasty salad for the day we we needed a light dinner! Great place to stay for a ski holiday!
We wish there was an on-site swimming pool with sauna or steam room - much needed after a long day skiing!

Lovely hotel with a great interior. Friendly staff on welcome, breakfast and check out. There was a Christmas party going on all evening in one of the communal areas which I didn't mind, nice atmosphere! Breakfast was plentiful, so much choice it was great. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, I slept well. Good bathroom, shower and TV in the room. Free parking with plenty of spaces outside the hotel. Spa grocery store over the road and a fuel station so all very convenient. I would stay again.

What a charming place!!! It is simply beautiful! The view from the common areas is to die for, the old world decor is a dream. I liked the setting, immersed in the white landscape while sitting in the sitting room with muted lights and lovely colour scheme with the Christmas stars hanging in the windows, the crackling fire in the old style fireplaces......just fits my idea of heaven! The buffet breakfast was top class. The choice was amazing and the food was fantastic - a well balanced choice of cooked food, cheeses, salamis, jams, etc.....Loved the continuous availability of teas and coffees - with an impressive selection of teas. Also the access to games, the piano and books - lots of books - though I would suggest the inclusion of more books in English to cater for non-Norwegian customers.
the furnishing in the bedrooms could do with an upgrade - they are truly good quality and very clean, but maybe an update could help.

The staff are very friendly. The location of the hotel is very good.Free parking available.10 minutes walk to ski resort.
We did not like the New Year's Eve dinner. Also, a beer (calsberg 0.4) is 119 nok and a 0.33 bottle of Pepsi is 52 nok which is very expensive. We paid 499 nok for a bottle of Marques de chive wine which is sold for 85 nok in the market.

This is a great hotel, only 800m or so from the parking area for skiing, lots of parking spaces. Huge play room, board games. Breakfast was very good as well. Rooms were quite big but simple, with a fridge. Supermarket next door and also 3 restaurants nearby. Fantastic for families, very cosy.
Coffee was not great and we could not charge or electric car.

The hotel is ideal in the winter for ski tourists, including family. There is even a special ski boot drying appliance in the room. The rooms are a bit small, but still comfortable. What I liked is that this year there was smoked salmon at breakfast. When we visited last year, I wrote in my review that there was no salmon, which is unusual for Norway. It seems like the hotel management, who were very friendly, have reacted to my comment. Overall, nothing to complain about, I can only recommend with pleasure.
