Will and the staff were very welcoming from check in to check out. If we needed anything they helped us out. The assistant Manager Will came to meet us at the first breakfast. He did a coffee demonstration and booked some tours for us. Will is very dedicated to his job. Two evenings later I had severe altitude sickness. I texted Will at home and in two minutes he had a Dr and ambulance in my room. I spent a day in the hospital and Will came to hospital to check up on me. He had one of our tours moved back a few days free of charge. My wife was also in the hospital while I was on tour. Will was there to help and even walked her back to the hotel when she was discharged. Due to all this we had planned on staying 7 nights but we asked to stay an extra 2 nights. No problem. Same rate same room. We both felt well looked after by all the friendly staff and Will was definitely a guardian angel.

We loved everything about Principe 111. Do not let the outside entrance deceive you. We arrived at 1am from the airport. We were dropped off on the sidewalk near a big steel gate. Okay where is the hotel? There was a buzzer button to press and immediately a door snapped open. Walked 30 meters to an elevator to take us to the 4th floor where the lobby was. That is when the staff took care of us.

The hotel was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. The view of the room was nice. The location of the hotel was a bit questionable. The surrounding gave the impression of crime and danger, give the boarded-up method of access into the Principe.

There was scurrying rats in the ceiling, could hear them at night. The people outside on the streets keep staring at us when we would leave and enter the hotel, felt like we were being followed at times. My phone was stolen in the city of Cusco, and I assume we had been profiled walking around the day before.

It’s near the bus station Wanchaq, only 2 mins walk. I took a night train + bus from Machu Picchu to Cusco. so I selected this hotel. Very convenient to walk from the station. I had a kings size bed in my room. There is window and hot water for shower. My booking also included breakfast. The front desk person Royert is very helpful. In general it was good for the value and people are helpful.

The check out time is between 9:00-10:00am. since I took the night bus arrived the hotel at night, it’s early for me to check out in the next morning. There is a door bell beside the gate you have to press it to enter because the gate is closed. It’s on the left side of the metal gate. Then take the elevator to 4th floor.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, they had everything we needed : free delicious teas at the reception, good fast laundry services and baggage storage. The staff was very polite, smiling and helpful. The hotel was really safe too with a locked entrance and cameras. The beds were super comfortable and we slept well.

The breakfast was good but simple and light (mostly fruits and eggs). The rooms are not soundproof at all, and lots of other clients 'hanging out' in the corridor and talking very loudly late in the evening and night.

We stayed only one night but the hotel was clean with comfortable beds, warm bedding, and hot shower water. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. They packed us breakfast to-go bags with a pleasant assortment of breakfast items for our very early morning departure. The hotel offers 24-hour self-serve tea. It’s located a bit further out from the heart of touristic activities but requires only a short taxi ride. There are a couple of stores nearby for purchasing snacks and drinks. Overall, a simple but comfortable place to rest when you’re passing through Cusco city.

I could not make a better choice than stay in this hotel. Great location and excellent service. Special thanks to the manager William who got out of his way to help us solving some problem. All the staff was very helpful. Wish all the hotels provide an outstanding service like Principe III.

Location is perfect, close to the train station. Small clean hotel .very helpful staff, helped me with the luggage due to the lift was out. Called for taxi as I was experiencing issues with the taxi. And provided late check out for free for an hour.

We stayed here one night before trip to Machu Picchu and after that two more nights. We had a nice room with big bed. The location is good, nearby restaurants and a big supermarket. Short walk to the Inca train meeting point. Breakfast was okay. We were able to leave the bags in storage for one night because of the trip to Machu Picchu. The staff was really nice and helpfull.

You could hear the noise from the other rooms.

Owner was super friendly despite not speaking English he really tried to understand. He enjoys greeting and interacting with the guests. Large communal lounge space, bed was comfortable. There is a supermarket right across the street and cheap eats nearby for those on a budget.

Can be a bit noisy at night if you’re a light sleeper.

We stayed at Principe on two different occasions, first for 2 nights when we landed in Cusco, and next for one night when we came back from Machu Picchu to fly out next day. This was extremely convenient as the hotel generously agreed to store our luggage during our two day trip to Machu Picchu, carrying which would've been a nightmare. That's an example of exceptional hospitality we received here, and how kind, gentle, soft-spoken, helpful, and caring the hotel staff was. They offered us free coca tea and helped us get taxi for airport and Secret Valley trips. They are always there at the front desk for whatever you need. They do not know English but their knowledge of Google Translate helped immensely. The morning breakfast every day was amazing with respect to its quality, volume, and their frequency to replenish. The location is impeccable; walking to major attractions such as Qorikancha, Main Square, San Pedro, Saqsaywaman, etc. It's right next to Estacion Wanchaq where Peru Rail back from Machu Pichhu dropped us, which was extrememly convenient as we could just walk back late at night. The rooms were clean and quite good - they have hot water, heater/AC, and the beds are comfortable. Overall a great find.

Only bad part - rooms scarcely have any charging points. We had to either charge our phones in the breakfast room and make a choice between watching TV or charging. Also, the guests at night were rowdy, boisterous, and completely callous about other guests. The hotel didn't do anything to make sure other guests are not getting disturbed, especially while sleeping. That soured our otherwise lovely stay here.
