As an anxious traveller, the Wyndham was a haven of tranquility in the middle of busy Cusco. I had other accommodation booked for the remainder of my time in Cusco which I decided to cancel and instead extended my stay at the Wyndham as I felt safe and the facilities were excellent. Room service is available which is incredibly helpful if you have been unwell due to altitude or travellers sickness and are recovering. They have a simple broth/soup on the room service menu along with plain chicken and rice so if you are travelling from another country (I am UK based) and your tummy not used to food or you have allergies, that can be helpful. All staff i spoke to were lovely and incredibly helpful. Great breakfast with huge selection which changed daily. On site restaurant and bar. A wine cellar. Different activities available like learn to make pisco sour etc. My room has huge jacuzzi bath which was absolutely heaven after hiking to different incan temples and after inca trail is bliss.

While I found the hotel had a very tranquil and relaxing feel to it, you are still in the very centre of the city and depending on where your room is, you may hear traffic at times. People like to use their car horns alot in Cusco! I was in a deluxe Colonial room and it was on ground floor right off the central courtyard and there is some noise at times when people gather to wait for their tour bus to arrive...that is usually late afternoon/early evening and for 20/30mins. If noise is an issue for you, request a quiet room not directly off courtyard. There was no noise overnight and I slept well during my 5 night stay and so this wasn't an issue for me but might bother others.

Room in the colonial wing was spacious and comfortable. Twin double beds in our room were large enough to accommodate 4 adults but there was only 2 of us so we had plenty of space. It was along the common corridor on the 1st level but noise was not an issue. Breakfast spread was adequate, liked the live harp music during breakfast. 3 minutes walk to the main square, close to restaurants and shops.

Service staff at breakfast were not so friendly. Free bottled water only on 1st night's stay but not subsequent nights. Room on level 2 on the 1st night had an older bathroom and room window faced the street. However it was only for 1 night so it was fine.

Everything was nice, the only thing was a bad smell in the washroom possibly coming from the sewage. They did send someone to take a look but I guess it is difficult to find this as this happens during certain times after using the washroom or shower. I suspect this was because of the drain in the washroom floor which is open to the sewage instead of having a p connector.

The location was outstanding. The staff were incredibly efficient and helpful. The food served at breakfast was quite good although they seemed at times extremely busy. Nonetheless, they met all of our needs. I would recommend recommended for anyone on their trip to Cusco

Depending on the time of the morning, the breakfast could be a little chaotic and many of the foreigners would just scoop up all the food without consideration for others. This just made it challenging for the staff that they were always delightful and accommodating.

The location was excellent- very walkable to explore many parts of Cusco. The room had all essentials and was comfortable and clean. The best part was the staff! Everyone was so welcoming, kind and accommodating- always ready to give tips for Cusco or recommendations on places to go. It was a very touching surprise to come back to the room on my birthday to find a cake and a sweet card. The staff must have seen from my passport that my birthday was during the stay and went above and beyond to make me feel special.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The staff weee helpful. The breakfast was very good and you are able to get eggs cooked to your liking, if you ask.

There are more staff for helping with bags and front desk. They could use a few more people to help with breakfast. The rooms are dated, which you would expect in a converted hotel. Comfortable, but part of the hotel is much less older. We heard the newer rooms were much nicer.

The hotel is located in the heart of Cusco, and in a high-altitude city like this, staying at a place that doesn’t require uphill walking is a huge advantage. But the hotel's strengths go far beyond its location. The interior design is beautifully classic and refined. The staff are exceptionally well-trained and professional. For example, when we arrived to check in, they warmly offered us coca tea, and every staff member we encountered during our stay greeted us with genuine warmth and friendliness.

This hotel was outstanding, even for experienced travelers. The spacious colonial architecture combined perfectly with the convenient furnishings. The bed was super extra-large, literally over 2 meters wide. The exceptional breakfast offered a wide variety of food. The staff were very helpful and always ready to ensure guests felt comfortable. We thank them for this wonderful stay

One small issue (which, honestly, we’ve noticed not only here but in other Peruvian hotels as well) is that guests need to pay extra for breakfast coffee if they aren’t satisfied with the standard mid-quality coffee served from a thermos. We believe that a hotel of this caliber shouldn’t charge for such minor items

The location was outstanding. We were within a few blocks of the main plaza and historic buildings. The door men were great helping with cabs, luggage, storage, directions, etc.

Front desk staff was often confused about reservation, storage, and amenities. The female employee was great help and seemed to know her job but the male employees both struggled. Got a double charge at discharge for a restaurant charge causing problems with the credit card company. Taxi arranged by hotel tried to overcharge us at the airport after we were given a price by the hotel. He finally backed down and took what we were told would be the charge. (20 soles vs 50 soles) more than double the quote.

Excellent location , walkable to lot of cafes, shopping areas and center of the city. Breakfast was really good with a nice spread of items. It opens at 4am , easy for folks heading out to the early morning hikes. We could keep our luggage at the hotel storage during the days of the hike to Machu Picchu. Food at the restaurant was excellent, very good quality and tasty. We preferred eating at the hotel restaurant than other places outside. Staff was very professional.

Rooms at the lower levels didn't not have view outside the windows. Seemed pretty closed.
