The owner is the sweetest, she always arranged for us when we had problems or wanted to extend. One night the electricity was cut (in the whole city) and she insisted in offering us the night for free. The garden is beautiful, the breakfast is simple but we had daily fresh fruits, the people here are open minded, the pillows were so confortable, and its surprisingly quiet at night (when there is no power cut). We felt very welcomed in their little family.

For us, everything was fine but you should not expect more from this than what it is: Little bamboo huts that don't have the most comfortable beds with a mosquito net, light and fan. The hut is not perfectly sealed so there can be insects and some moisture if it rains. There are shared bathrooms with simple local showers that don't have a lot of pressure and you have to walk a bit to get there. Bottom line: It feels a lot like camping with extra comfort. Just don't expect a hotel room which would be much more expensive in El Nido. We decided to stay and ended up loving our stay. The owner even offered us a better price when we wanted to extend because of the previous power outage. If you are open minded and come with low expectation, you will love your stay 😊

Annie is a wonderful lady. She helped us with so much and is a genuine soul. It was really nice to feel cared for by a host in such a remarkable way. The included breakfast was really great. Room was a good size. Bathrooms were clean and toilets had bug coils in them. Lounge area is awesome. Line outside the cabins to hang wet clothes really came in handy.

Shower pressure isn’t great. Not a ton to do around within a reasonable walking distance. Kinda have to get a scooter. The road behind the cabins with scooters going down it at all hours of the night combined with the barking dogs in area combined with the roosters did not leave much room for a good sleep. Bring heavy duty earplugs.

Very nice community, Annie is so lovely and kind and maked very good breakfast! You can choose between three breakfast options or take a special one for an extra price. We were also able to rent a scooter there. For some it may be a bit too remote but for us it was perfect. If you like it more local and not that much touristy, than this is the perfect spot for you to stay in el nido!

For my partner it was no problem, because he has a very deep sleep but I have a very light sleep and couldn‘t sleep that well because you can hear everything and there were a lot toktoks/bikes passing in the night. But except from that everything was perfect and I‘d definitely come back

We loved our stay at Banana Grove - our standalone hut was cool in the night, had everything we needed included a mosquito net and was only a short journey into El Nido. Breakfast every morning was brilliant with a choice of multiple options, but the best part of our stay was the owner - Annie. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, sorted everything we needed to properly see El Nido and travel onwards plus was really helpful with recommendations. If we return to El Nido, this will be the first place we’d book in to stay again!

Nothing!

What an amazing stay. We felt like a part of the family from our very first breakfast there, the host is extremely warm and helpful. The houses are very basic, with just a bed, fan and light inside but we were ok with it. The toilet is surprisingly clean seeing it is literally in the middle of nature. Breakfasts are amazing and the fact that you can rent a scooter there saved us a lot of time!

The only downside, apart from being very close to nature but it depends what one likes, is the location. It got a bit annoying that we couldn't just walk to the city etc (about 15mins scooter drive away) but the place does rent out scooters and a part of its magic is being very rural.

Cute huts with a big bed. The common area was nice to use in the evenings. The food was amazing, both breakfast and dinners. Annie helped us a lot organising our transport to Coron and with motorbike rental. Mosquito nets over the bed was appreciated. There was good WiFi.

We felt some things weren't explained fully when we arrived (e.g availability of food in the evening) but we think we arrived at a particularly busy time for them. The water pressure in the shower was very low for a couple of days. It was quite loud at night, mainly dogs (which can be expected for the location!).

The best hosts I have had so far in the Philipines. Annie and Tom were super welcoming and helpful. We booked last minute because of some other cancelled travel plans and they were super accomodating, gave us tips and helped us renting scooters to get around El Nido. When you stay there, please try the food, breakfast and dinner was amazing! Thanks a million!

The only thing is that there are currently no shower heads. So there is running water, only you need to adapt your shower method a little bit to more of a bucket over your head situation. To us, this only added to the charm of Banana Grove for our 2 night stay.

The laid-back Banana Grove was a really pleasant stay! Ani was so accommodating, kind, and helpful! She went above and beyond, providing so many comforts, as I was battling an illness. They gave us so much information on what to do around El Nido and helped us plan everything, from boat tours to ferry's to other islands. The food is incredible and probably the best local food we've tasted in the Philippines!

Great place to stay away from the crowds of the city. Annie, the host, is a lovely lady, warm & welcoming, and her breakfast menu is incredible. Fresh tropical fruits with your breakfast are a winner for me. Her veggie omelette is also delicious. You can hire a scooter from Annie , no problem, she has them on site. You can book boat tours with Christine through Annie. We booked a private boat tour, and it was an amazing experience. Christine offers this at a great price, so it's worth it. Christine can tailor the tour to you. She offers something different to the main boat tours in El Nido. She has a great team of guys on the boat, the captain (forgive me, I cannot remember his name) has great knowledge of the area, which I think is a must. We were arriving at different spots on the tour while the crowds of tourists were leaving, bliss. We would definitely rebook here. We loved it ❤️ thanks Annie 😊
