Mina Grande is just a great place to stay. The property is clean, located directly in front of Corong Corong beach where you can admire beautiful sunset. The location is very convenient too because it’s about 5 minutes walk to the pier where all the tours start. There is a coffee area in the garden where you can get free water and coffee at anytime. The rooms are tiny but comfortable, including a fridge which is a big plus to keep your drinks cold. The staff is just amazing, all of them are very kind, friendly and helpful. They could sort out an extra night for us since the ferry to Coron that we supposed to catch was cancelled on the day of our departure. Definitely 💯 recommend!

The staff were super welcoming and all round amazing! My boyfriend and I came down with some serious food poisoning(tour lunch), and staff ensured we were comfortable, arranged for us to get to a doctor, and even visited us with bananas to check that we were okay! As for the room, there was all you could ask for - comfy bed, working air con + fan, and a hot shower The location was perfect, very close to the dock for tours. Just a short walk along the beach and you’ll come across plenty of lovely restaurants. A quick tuktuk away from El Nido town for 100 PHP. I would definitely recommend Mina Grande and stay again :) Thank you!!

Only complaint would be the noise of the air con

The location boast a beautiful bay view and with just a few steps you find yourself on the Corong Corong beach. The room was spacious, with excellent AC and a good sized (for Asian standards) bathroom with hot water! The terrace area provides racks to hang your wet clothes, but the hotel also provides laundry service at a reasonable price. The staff were welcoming and accomodating, very helpful but not overbearing. The hotel is about 5-7 minutes ride from El Nido town centre and the hotel staff advised this should cost PP25 per person, but of course the drivers try to charge PP50 per person, so put your haggling skills to use!

For the price we paid, the brekfast could have been better, but it was enough to get us started for the day. During the night, groups of stray dogs roam the grounds - they are not aggressive towards people, they come to raid the bins, but can be loud while they figure out their hierarchy. Despite this, we would 100% recomend the place and would stay here again.

Water in room is not advisable for consumption or even for brushing teeth. Make sure to buy bottled water.

We loved our stay at Mina Grande because it was right on the beach! We could step out our front doors and walk right to the water. It was very beautiful and picturesque. We also loved our front porch, they served us breakfast every morning there and it was a lovely way to wake up. If we walked down the beach there was lots of restaurants to choose from. Also kayak rentals right there were also convenient. We did walk into the main town of El Nido which took about 15 minutes but mostly choose to tuk tuk. The main town is very loud and busy so originally I thought Mina Grande was a bit far away from the main town for my liking but then realized its actually the perfect location! The shower pressure and temperature is good! Which seems to me a common issue in the Philippines so that was comforting to have a good shower.

The free breakfast was okay but very small. The bed had a thick mattress but was harder so made for not the best sleeps (but too be fair we never found comfortable beds while travelling the Philippines until we stayed in a fancier hotel). The walls of the cottages are quite thin so you can hear your neighbours quite easily. It

I like how courteous, friendly and reliable their staff is. Kudos to Kuya Daniel who assist us in van transfer from Puerto to El Nido and manage all our island tour with discount. I also like all the staff there very friendly, and aid all our need. Definitely will go back because of them.😊

The facility needs improvement. There is some kind of "bukbok" in the ceiling which falls to our pillow. And every time someone walks in the room you can feel vibration of the floor thru the bed. I think all it needs is a renovation.

On the beach. You can walk to numerous restaurants on the beach. It was quiet and out of the fray of EL Nido. Tricycle ride to town 100 pesos.

The whole bathroom gets soaked including toilet when you have a shower. Need a shower curtain to stop it and also a squeegee for the floor as the drains are slow so water gets everywhere. Breakfast is either a friend egg inbetween white bread or one pancake and banana. Also no need to use waste plastic wrap on top of the plate. Not good for environment

Everything was great except the bathroom door didn't really close, no biggie! The staff were super nice and friendly. Very accommodating. They had everything there, motorcycle rental, tours, kayak, etc. We didn't have to go anywhere else. The free breakfast had generous portions too.

The beach was full of rocks, but that didn't stop us from swimming. Water is full of stinging planktons too. Not sure if it's only because of the season we went, but Palawan water is itchy whichever beach we went to. Even in the tours. Bring lots and lots of pocket money. Water, soda, chips, and other stuff from stores are 3-4x more expensive. Hotel was great 👌

Breakfast was delicious though not a lot of variety. The staff were all fantastic - ready to help at any time. The motorbike rental was great, the tours booked were excellent, the location is perfect for getting a good night's sleep while being close enough to restaurants & beach bars.

Too much smoking in the public space right off my porch. A few power outages, but never more than an hour. Only one outlet worked in the room though the staff loaned me an extension cord.

Delicious free breakfast, free coffee, hot water, a/c, and beach front rooms. Booking tours, renting motor bikes, and scheduling airport/boat port transfers Mina has you covered. It is a quite place close to everything. All at a good price. What more could you ask for? It is not a luxury hotel; therefore, save yourself some money and enjoy an excellent place that only a snob would complain about.
