We booked the place quite last minute. The host Lorna (who lives there with her family) was very helpful and prepared our room before we got there. We took a public transport van from the port (which passes by Lorna's place) and just asked the driver to drop us off. The other days we rented a scooter from Lorna to explore the northern part of Bohol - their place is very close to the rice field and big waterfall as well as Anda (e.g. fisher mangrove broadwalk).

No hot water for shower (but it was hot outside so it wasn't a big problem for us).

I loved how helpful and nice ma'am Lurna was with me. She helped me with everything I wanted to do in east Bohol even when she did not know the information. She took me to some places and when I had problem finding vegetarian food, she bought eggs for me and gave me vegetarian meal so I could eat, since my schedule is a bit complicated because I work. The internet is great, very fast since it's just her family using and the guest. Once it fell down, but it was because of the rain and the whole city was without internet (but we still had electricity). Since I had to work, she was really nice and accompanied me so I could load data and be able to work late at night. I could not be more thankful for everything she did for me. The room is very spacious, cleanliness is very good and could probably fit 4 people in it. The aircon is good and cools well the big bedroom. I loved the facilities and that I received coffee, free water, and products like shampoo and soap, I was able to use the kitchen so I could save money, and could boil my water late at night. Being able to use the kitchen was a plus for me! I cannot thank enough for your help ma'am Lurna, I loved staying at your place! Location was in Candijay, I wanted to go to Alicia, the waterfalls and rice terraces, so it was perfect location! Lamanok island is also not far, but its a place for people who want a quiet place close to the locals. Here you will not find parties and to go to the beaches in Anda takes about 45min to 1h, more or less same distance to every place you will visit around this region, so it is fine. I found the location to be really good because it is right in the center of everything, so long scooter journeys will not happen like in Panglao that is almost 2h to arrive at Chocolate Hills.

It would be nice having hot shower and smart tv even though I know it isn't easy to find in the Philippines. Good location for people who are chill and want a peaceful neighborhood close to the mountains, not good for finding parties and bars at night.

We never stayed, arrived and left. What the heck - there was a mom and a boy already living in the house and taking up a bedroom and a kitchen and the whole refrigerator. Their cooking made the place smell terrible - my daughter immediately covered her nose and never let go. They don't show you the massive dirt bike in the living room - on display like a fine cabinet. Never realize booking.com has shares rooms.
