It took about 1hr from the airport by taxi due to heavy traffic jam but the hotel is very close to Recto station on Light Rail Transit (LRT-2). The hotel currently does not provide airport shuttle bus but catching taxi by Grab app at the airport was not an issue. Near the hotel, there is convenience store (Seven eleven) in front of the hotel and donut shop (Mister Donut) is next to the hotel, and in walking distance there were places to eat so it was very convenient. The breakfast buffet had variety of selections and it was tasty. Also, the food at the restaurant at the hotel was tasty too.

The check-in took some time, but they kindly offered some drink as I waited for my check in. Also, they kindly upgraded my room which was great, but the room did not have any window so I was not able to enjoy the view which was a shame. Internet connection was quite stable but disconnected from time to time. They provided voucher for internet connection which should last 24 hrs but it didn't. However, they did provide enough wifi voucher so there was no need to request for additional ones.

The manila grand opera is an amazing establishment and the staff were very caring with us, we arrived in a rainfall seasons they where always running after us with umbrella to get in taxis which we didn't expect, that was so thoughful. we did had an amazing late night in the karaoke - the waiter was an amazing young gentleman and clapped for us and sing with us (we asked him to.) great time. the security was also on point. we had some convenience shops nearby which really helped too. despite not being in the best area of Manilla - we never felt insecure even outside of the hotel at day/night.

The breakfast wasn't what we expected unfortunately. so we had it only the 1st day.

Nice big lobby, rooms are very clean, staff are friendly, strong wifi, swimming pool, free parking and their restaurant serves simple yet delicious dishes. If you're in search of a hotel (which by the way has a casino too) that's right in the heart of Old Manila, near Quiapo, Chinatown or Intramuros, then I highly recommend this place. But if you are looking for a high-end, classy area with high-rise buildings, parks, fine dining, huge shopping malls, etc. then you'll be at the wrong place! We stayed there primarily to revisit the iconic places of Old Manila, mostly are within walking distance.

We occupied 2 rooms and sadly, both had no windows. Also, the towels provided are too less, no hand nor face towels, but only 1 bath towel. There are just 2 elevators for the entire hotel that is seemingly very busy and full, so you will have to wait a while for your turn.

I liked that it was a stone’s throw away from China Town and the market places where you could explore, haggle and experience Manila without the glitz and glamour. The clean room has all the basics and at a reasonable rate. The staff were really amazing, kind and so accommodating as well!

This hotel caters for group bookings so there were times when huge groups would check in and it would be quite noisy. It wasn’t that bad though.

Great Location, but Hotel Needs Improvement The best thing about this hotel is its location—close to everything you need, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. However, the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms are outdated, cleanliness could be better, and the amenities are quite basic. If you’re looking for convenience and don’t mind sacrificing comfort, this place works for a short stay. Otherwise, you might want to explore other options.

The staff were lovely and Ray the chef looked after us well, nothing was to much of a problem, lovely Hotel, very surprised at the location it was in but glad we went there, nice pool, free WiFi was a must but not always great, enjoyed the lovely Buffet Breakfast and fruit plus a lovely Blue Lemonade.

Location wise really as didn’t like walking in the streets out side but that’s city life I guess. We had a small window in our room that was covered up as just View overlooking roofs but I didn’t mind as the room looked great, tv wasn’t much use as couldn’t get Netflix or YouTube as internet wasn’t working well so just used our own WiFi and phones for films.

Great staff, always super friendly and helpful. organised us taxis etc to make sure we get a good price. Location is great as well. it’s not the typical place where tourists go, we didn’t see any other tourists besides us. But we loved it! Two 7eleven and a supermarket right next to the Hotel, Divisoria Market in walking distance. It’s the old part of Manila, so it will look a bit run down but we loved to experience the actual Manila like locals do

The rooms where okay, fridge and aircon are rather noisy. Also noisy neighbours running down the hallway but that’s not the Hotels fault. Breakfast was okay, not many choices besides rice, eggs, sausage and some fruit.

I like the location, very accessible and looks safe (compared to other areas in Manila). Convenience store and LRT is nearby. The room is clean.

The building is old, only one lift is working and the other is out of service (i stayed for 3 nights!). The shower drain is clogged and the breakfast selection is not that varied. No windows!

This is my second stay at MGOH and it was just as pleasant as the first time. I think the hotel is great overall, it is located right at Doroteo Jose station so getting around Manila is easy enough, there is a Puregold supermarket across the road and also a laundry shop, the breakfast is always good and the staff are very accommodating, the pool is clean and always attended by a member of staff.

There were roadworks outside the front entrance (still there as of 18/09/22) which made access to the front somewhat difficult especially if taking a taxi, it is possible to enter through the rear where the carpark is located though. (this was not a fault of the hotel but worth noting for prospective bookers.)
