This place is perfect to relax away from the noisy main street. You’re still within walking distance (~10min) to the main areas and the beach. Lots of restaurants close by. I stayed in the private room for 2 weeks, which was comfortable and had everything you need. Air conditionner is silent and powerful. No issues with water pressure or hot water. Wifi was decent, and improved during my stay as they changed the provider. Breakfast options are good. Free drinking water available. The place feels safe, security guard Glenn is a great guy. The highlight was the Ananas staff, they do everything to make the guests feel comfortable. Ben, the manager, is particularly attentive and does a great job looking after the guests and the place. 100% recommend to anyone travelling to Moalboal.

Paving the short rocky road leading to the property and adding some lights would make it more comfortable for guests coming back at night. But otherwise, nothing!

I really liked the staff. They were super friendly and helpful with all my requests. They even let me check in early after a tiring trip, which I really appreciated. One funny moment was when a gecko sneaked into my room, and we all ended up laughing while the staff tried to catch it. I accidentally booked a room without a private bathroom, but it actually turned out fine. The shared bathroom was clean and not crowded, and there was even a bidet 😅

The only thing I didn’t really like was the road going to the property. As a solo female traveler, I felt a bit uneasy walking there at night since part of it goes through a dark field. I actually wanted to stay longer in Panagsama but decided not to because of that. Also, the floors in the room were a bit creaky and noisy when you walked on them, which could be improved. Other than that, everything else was totally fine.

They had tons of information available for travelers, we especially appreciated the book of transport to help us get to where we were going next. Rented their snorkles twice to go see the sardine run ourselves and were very happy with the quality. Breakfast was delicious and had the biggest pancake I've seen in Asia. It was an easy 10min walk into town along the road so we never needed to rent a moto.

Seems like they're still constructing something. Most days were good and they started after breakfast time was over, but I couldn't nap midday due to the occasional banging that accompanied it. One morning we were woken up very early by the loud banging, which wasn't great.

Cannot recommend this place enough so if you don’t fancy reading this probably massive review, summary is just stay here you won’t regret it. We stayed here for 9 days in total, never ran out of things to do and always felt like we had a great place to chill at the end of a hot/active day. The reception area is a great place to talk to other guests or the guesthouse staff with lots of card/board games freely available. They were very helpful throughout in where to go for food or what activities to do etc and always friendly. The owner Simon even took us to a pub quiz on our final night which was great fun and he helped us get back into our room when we were locked out one night…at 2:30am!! Idiots😅 Other perks: the wifi is actually better than mine at home ~200mbps up and download, the air con is great i.e. silent and powerful, there are shower curtains so there isn’t water all around the floor by the toilet, beach towels and snorkelling gear can be rented cheap, short walk into the main strip whilst not being in earshot of the clubs. Overall Ananas played a big part in an unforgettable 9 days.

Amazing stay, I extended for 3 more nights here! Had everything I needed + comfy beds. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Good chill space which is always nice! Overnight worker/security there too. Good distance from town, but not too far. Would recommend a scooter which you can hire here or nearby - not completely necessary, but I saw a lot more of the area and surrounding area with it :) Would recommend!

Sometimes the communal toilets were abit messy but not a huge problem as there is one in the room :)

Ananas Guest House is a really expectional place to stay when in Moalboal. Close to all restaurants and bars.staff really welcoming and will do there utmost to help you in any way they can. Nice choice of free breakfast included. Lovely pool to chill by and catch some rays.. All in all I cannot fault them in any way. If your thinking of coming to Moalboal stay here,you won't be disappointed.

Really nice guesthouse. The room was spacious and clean. It was a very chill and relaxing place. The guy is very helpful and there's a security guard at night which is nice. The location is very quiet and it's only a 10-15min walk to the restaurants. The breakfast was super nice!! There's a few things that could be slightly better, such as more chairs in the common area. Also, the curtain of our room was a bit too small - but those were of course only minor things.

My private room was very comfortable with a good A/C and shower. Towels were provided and free water. The guesthouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and different drinks. We had a very nice family dinner. The staff is very friendly. You can rent scooters too and book e.g. a canyoning tour. It has a security guard during nights.

It is not an actively socializing accomodation, so no organized group activities like in other hostels, but that was fine for me. I missed some hangers or a rope to dry my clothes outside. The guesthouse is located 10-15 minutes walk from the main road with a partially dark road, but didn't feel unsave.

Really clean! We stayed actually two more nights. Drinkable water, plenty of meals to choose from for the breakfast. You can meet other people and find new friends, this place is suitable for it. Possible massage for 400 pesos and it was one of the best massages we have ever had! Motorbike rental is nearby for 350 pesos a day. It’s quite close to the center and to snorkeling site.
