My stay at Gabayan Riviera was, for the most part, very pleasant. The accommodations were absolutely spotless, and the rooms were well-equipped with everything one might need. The staff was always smiling, helpful, and highly professional. A major plus was the pool, which was great and we had a lot of fun there.

Unfortunately, we did encounter a couple of minor issues. During our stay, it happened that some ingredients were often missing from the kitchen, which slightly limited the food options. I was also disappointed with the juices, which were made from powder and were not very tasty.

The Gabayan Riviera is paradise Although checked in is not easy because we arrived in the property at 1am and we totally understand that. In the morning we woke up 7am and we found freshly baked homemade bread hanging on our door 😊 its really good taste plus the breath taking ocean view from our room. Also have infinity pool facing the ocean 😍 Place is fantastic and very peaceful, if you need a quiet place to stay in siquijor the gabayan Riviera is the place for you. Manager Bill was very friendly and accommodating. Dina the staff is very friendly, accommodating and always ready to help us. We had booked the room for 2 nights only but end up of 5 nights stay. We will definitely stay here again if we come back in siquijor. Highly recommended to those who wanted to come to siquijor Ps: food in the restaurant is great, banana bread is so yummy 😍 brewed coffee is very good. Must try when you stay in Gabayan

everything! what a place. built with a perfect lat out. we had the 3 bedroom bungalow with own pool and was just amazing! the wifi was as super strong! tv with international channels, netflix, amazon etc. the breakfast was next level and they bake there own bread which was so good! the food at every meal was great. the staff were so helpful & friendly with catering for all our needs. we will 100 percent be back

The room was huge and clean, the pool was lovely and I swam off from the dock and saw sea turtles which was amazing. We got it on a last minute deal so it was very good value. We hired scooters which was really straightforward and the staff were all amazing.

They are having a few generator issues so lots of black outs, wasn't a problem for us as only there a night, the owner was clearly trying to sort it, also to be expected in a more remote location. The restaurant had also ran out of a few options when we ate there. Again not a problem for us and to be expected in more remote locations.

- Staff was friendly - quiet hotel - pool was nice and clean - every morning we got a basket with freshmade bread

- when eating dinner there, most of the dishes were out of stock.. since there is nowhere to eat nearby, it's not so beneficial - booked a "villa" and thought it would be fine for 5 persons. Sure, I didn't see the "1x double bed" but still - why should they allow 5 people in this "villa" when they only have one bed? They came with 6 thin matress for us for the floor... It was okay in the end with the price as well but still they shouldn't offer that. - a bit far from trouble, but if someone likes it, that would be a perfect match ;) - ants in the bathroom

Really high quality room with great facilities inside the room. Friendly staff and great food in the restaurant . Amazing views and location.

Only 2 towels in the room and the towels were small and thin. We didn't sleep much the 3rd night due to a party that went on for a corporate event. We wouldn't have minded much but it was right next door to us and the speaker system was so loud it could have entertained 10,000 people not the 40 or less people that were there for the corporate event. The owner was very apologetic about it though which I do appreciate but still the party went on quite late and we couldn't sleep well. More shaded areas needed around the pool, it was hard to enjoy in the day time with the heat from the sun. Also the internet was really bad on the last day I wonder if that was due to the other rooms being booked out and everyone using the internet at the same time. Maybe look into an upgrade for that?

Quiet property in a fantastic location to scooter about the waterfalls. It’s a little out of the way and not many restaurants near by but we liked how secluded it was. A scooter or vehicle of some sort is essential when staying here. You can hire them from the front desk. There are only a handful of rooms so the grounds were super quiet. We actually had the best sleeps we’ve had in a long time! Room was spacious and modern. Aircon worked great and was silent. Wi-Fi was one of the best we’ve had in the Philippines. The restaurant was fantastic and served very yummy fresh food. The best thing about this place is the staff. They really go above and beyond to help and make you feel right at home. We loved the fresh buns delivered to our room each morning - such a lovely touch! Great laundry service and one of the staff even offered to sew a button onto a shirt of mine that had fallen off (I didn’t catch her name but thank you!)

The blinds in the room were not ideal as they let a lot of light in and kept getting jammed in the rail. Some curtains would be much more effective. The pool was a little dirty.

The hotel is in a very quiet place not far from the town of Lazi which made it extra peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were a great size with huge smart tvs which came in handy on the night times. The restaurant had a lot to choose from on the menu with a mixture of all kinds of food however this sometimes meant due to the size of the menu they did not have everything, for example on our last night they had ran out of chicken. The pool was beautiful and we spent most of our days laid on the spacious sun beds which made it feel even more luxurious. My highlight had to be all of the lovely dogs that live within the property, they were all so friendly and certainly made our stay one to remember with us both being huge animal lovers. Although they are strays it is so nice to see that they are off the streets and we made sure to give them plenty of cuddles and treats throughout our stay! The hotel also provides you with life jackets and snorkelling equipment which was great to use in the beach outside of the hotel, we really loved the pier that you could climb off to get into the water and it was also a really good spot to watch the sunset. Reception also arranged a tricycle for one of the days so that we could explore the nearby falls. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

There really was not many negatives however we did notice that the restaurant staff required some more training in customer service. For example when we were waiting to have our orders taken we could see all the staff just sat down at the bar on there phones and did not seem to pay any attention to us, sometimes we were waiting over 15 minutes to have our order taken which is frustrating when there are over 5 members of staff by the bar but all just sat on their phones watching videos. It does definitely make you feel like you are not welcomed in the restaurant which is a shame because all of the meals we ate were really good.

Super clean, modern & large room. The hot water in the shower came quickly. Staff is nice and helpful. You can rent a scooter at the property which is really convenient.

The location is the only downside: it’s about 30-40min by scooter to all the restaurants & bars of San Juan town. If you want to stay closer to the action, look for something closer.
