Everything was good. Food was superb and the staff were very courteous especially the ones in the dining area. Would recommend getting the airport transfer service as well as it was hassle free.

The posting on booking.com app does not make it clear that the basic rooms are internal and do not have a window. The photos give the appearance of the room having a window this is clearly misrepresentation. Fortunatley the hotel resolved this issue to our satisfaction

We were a bit reluctant of booking a hotel in station 3 but we are very glad we did it. At the time of the year we went there is a lot of algae in the sea except in front of our hotel. The location is great, near shops and restaurants but it’s not noisy. The staff at the hotel is very welcoming and friendly and knew our names ever time. They greeted us every time we passed by and were always with a smile on their faces. We could borrow some beach toys for the kids and we had so much fun there.

The breakfast buffet was great, everyday has different selections. Even the dinner buffet was amazing. The staff was the star of this resort, specially Tibio and Rolee who’s very attentive and sensible. Most of the staff are doing the same and I appreciate how they take care of us since I’m with my parents both are senior citizens. The guest room amenities was superb they have individual microwaves and kitchenette in each room which we never used but it’s good to have it, not all hotels had the same facility. All in all our experience was exceptional and from the time we landed in Caticlan to Astoria and vice versa was smooth and super convenient, no stress at all even we haven’t arranged the transportation in advance they still accommodated us but I highly suggest to book ahead specially in peak seasons. The massage was also a must try, made my left arm felt better. Even used the gym, it was not the best since the space constraints at least it has few weights and 2 treadmills. The staff are all polite and welcoming, everyone was smiling and hospitable. Would probably comeback and stay here again soon with the rest of my family.

Location: Right by the beachfront. Easy access to the white sand beach. When you get port to hotel transfers, the van will bring you to their open-air lobby, no need to walk through the sand to get to the hotel. Rooms: Nicely designed, clean and fresh. Food: Food is delicious and they rotate their buffet breakfast and dinners. Staff: Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Excellent experience we had. Spa: Reasonably priced and good. The 90-minute massage was really relaxing.

Shower: They need to place instructions on how to turn on the faucet. Their showers are unique where you turn forward (away from you) or backward (towards you). Depending on how you turn, you either get faucet, handheld shower or rain shower. If the temperature setting is set on hot and you turn towards you, you can get burned by the shower.

Astoria Current has so far been the best resort we have stayed in. The service was exemplary, over and above what was expected and at a very fair price. We strongly recommend paying for the VIP transferring from the airport to the resort. Astoria bus from airport to port, bypassed the long process of checking in line of the long queue at security, then straight onto a speed boat that took 3 minutes to the island then Astoria bus to the resort. It was seamless and completely stress free. Once at the resort, the staff were all so professional and friendly and would jump at any chance to help. We even got a phone call every couple of days to ask us if we needed anything and to see if we were ok. We also decided to take advantage of their massage service. And we were so pleased we did! Swedish massage on the first day and as it was so good, the hot stone massage on the last day. Our bodies were very happy with us. Their clear goal was to make their customers stay as stress free as much as possible. This was very much achieved. Would most definitely recommend Astoria to anyone that would listen.

Perhaps the curtains could be thicker to block out the light. We were in a corridor where the lights stay on all night. Sometimes it was hard to sleep because my brain thought it was still day time :)

We love the location not so busy area and just in-front of the beach. The breakfast is good too but it’s a bit the same everyday. The pool is perfect.

The main concern for us is the bathroom it’s a bit of a work to go in and out of the shower because it’s attached to the bathtub with thin glass wall and it’s a bit slippery and stiff. As a small pregnant women with two little children I find it dangerous as I almost hurt myself when I try to get out of the shower I slipped my foot on the floor and hit my side on the thin glass wall. My children are always struggling and looked awkward every time they go in and out of the shower. I’m glad nothing really happens so I just don’t complain. Me and my children just have to do extra careful every time we go shower.

The room was large with a big bathroom. floor to ceiling sliding window looking down onto the pool. Breakfast was included, which was a buffet, we enjoyed it very much. Lots of different choices. Location was amazing. Step right onto the beach.

Unfortunately our room had a musty smell. Once we turned off the a/c and humidifier and opened the sliding door and entrance door it was much better. We asked for a plug in fan and that's all we used instead of a/c! Took the smell away. Our room only had a Juliette balcony, which was fine. Beware there are rooms that have no window at all only an entrance door! The staff line up and greet you when you come and go from the lobby, which we found tiring, and I think the staff were bored doing this all day. Not necessary.

My wife Michelle and I love everything about this hotel. While I’m writing this review, we’re still staying and having a wonderful time here at Astoria Current and celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary here. The room that was assigned to us had a problem with the aircon and we had to wait for them to fix it since it can’t be fixed, Michael the reception officer ( excellent customer service) upgraded our room and the room was great. All the staff were so attentive, helpful and very friendly. I’ve been to different hotels in the Philippines, Thailand and in Italy but the customer service here in Astoria Current is outstanding (5/5). The food is great, the pool is so amazing. Special thanks to Michael (reception area who is super amazing and wonderful ) he made our stay so special, all the waiting staff especially Alvin and Joshua(the most amazing staff in the restaurant), Ericka, Kevin,Jshua and Raymart (restaurant staff who are truly helpful) and most especially the band ( entertainment) of the hotel who sang our wedding song and made our wedding anniversary so memorable and special. My special thanks to Riza (an amazing massage therapist) of the Astoria Current Spa who always helped me feel relaxed and revitalized after every massage. All of the staff made it possible for us to have an amazing and memorable experience here in Boracay. We truly appreciate all the kindness. Overall the experiences are great! For the breakfast, it has a combination of the essential western cooked options, and the local cuisine which make it more unique; as a gym goer, I'd prefer the gym to have wipes, please improve this; the room is very comfortable, but I think the hotel can improve the bathtub setting, the water isn't hot enough to have a bath, mainly cold and slightly warm water. The hotel staff are friendly and respectful.

A few improvements - to supply wipes in the gym; the bathtub should have hot water.
