a very convenient wellness area

It was very disappointing that the hotel applied a service charge at check-out. The hotel does not inform about this at the time of booking (at least in my case), which leads to an unpleasant surprise during check-out. For a hotel aspiring to be an exclusive establishment, such treatment of customers is inappropriate. The hotel argues that this charge replaces the traditional tipping system. However, I suspect that, in practice, the employees do not receive any of this payment, and it is merely a way for the hotel owners to generate additional revenue. Very poor and disappointing conduct.

A beautiful hotel set in a lovely little village walking distance from the high Tatras. Welcome prosecco on arrival was very nice. Staff were lovely. The spa area was very good - a pool, two saunas, steam room, tepidarium, plunge pool and indoor and outdoor jacuzzis. There are also two additional jacuzzis on another little roof terrace separate from the spa. The breakfast was excellent with a range of hot and cold items including pancakes and they have an additional made to order eggs menu.

The lack of coffee and tea in rooms was just odd. We did ask for a kettle, which was provided but the hotel could only manage to find some tea bags and there was no coffee. Two single beds pushed together was also frustrating. We were in the attic room so you could only stand up straight in half the room.

Walking into Hotel Lomnica is like entering a beautiful dream. The warm welcome and tour of the beautiful art gallery already suggested that this hotel would exceed expectations which it did. With mountain views from the balcony, the bedroom in the modern wing was gracefully furnished, with soft lighting and a well appointed cosy bathroom. After a comfortable nights sleep we breakfasted in the sumptuous dining suites again surrounded by exquisite art collections. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious with excellent choices, hot and cold for all dietary requirements. Hotel Lomnica is well situated for transport to the mountains and nearby towns as well as lovely scenic walks. The staff excelled in every small detail to make our stay the best right down to the beautiful cake for my partner’s birthday - what a lovely surprise for her! We will definitely be coming back to enjoy the hospitality of Hotel Lomnica and explore more of the beautiful Tatras Thank you to everyone for looking after us and making our stay a wonderful one.

This hotel is definitely a hidden gem and I would consider booking here again in the future. The whole atmosphere was splendid, and the attention to detail is very good. The room was a little on the small side, but it was compensated for by the charm and quality of the decor. The bathroom was large and all the toiletries provided were of a very high standard. I was surprised at how quiet the room was during the stay, and the bed was very comfortable. It was also great that I was able to hop off the train and walk about 200 metres to the hotel. Really, this stay was very pleasant indeed. Full praise to all the staff and management for making this hotel special.

I did miss having tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which is standard in the vast majority of hotels that I travel to internationally.

A Hidden Gem in Tatranská Lomnica This hotel is a true delight — exceptionally clean, modern, and cozy, with an unbeatable location. I’ve stayed here multiple times, and each visit reaffirms my appreciation for the place. It feels less like a hotel and more like a museum or a palace, beautifully preserved and thoughtfully designed. The breakfasts are excellent, and in the evening, the on-site restaurant and bar provide the perfect setting to unwind. A stroll through the surrounding park, breathing in the fresh mountain air, completes the experience. Everything about this place is just right. Highly recommended.

This place is up there as one of the best 5* hotels I've stayed at. Amazing service and facilities Hotel is decorated like an art gallery, so many great paintings to admire Super friendly staff Great breakfast They take feedback positively

Only negative was that they did not inform guests of the 5% service charge added to the accomodation cost before a guest pays and books the room but after I showed them how they can add this information on booking.com, they've since updated this so that hopefully guests are aware of this in future before booking so they get give poor ratings of the hotel in future as some guests have done in the past.

The hotel is great overall , food and drinks are fantastic, spa area is perfect for relax after hiking or skiing days, amazing breakfast

Unfortunately beds , mattresses and pillows are far from 5 star hotel quality , beds are small, mattress is very tough to lie on, pillows don’t give you a chance to lie in one comfy posture. I didn’t sleep well there on any night of the stay and was happy to finally go home to sleep

Upon arrival we were welcomed by very friendly and professional staff. We had a tour around the hotel which has so much history and has over 600 painting displayed around the hotel. It has a beautiful character. We had breakfast and dinner at Sissi restaurant and the experience was great, great ambience and beautiful food presentation. I would recommend to offer more vegetarian options at dinner. Wellness was wonderful and felt very private. Location of the hotel is about 1-2min walking distance to the train station.

There was no kettle or coffee machine in the room. The comfort was compromised by really cheap and old pillows and duvets - simply not a five star level. QR codes next to paintings were not connected to any relevant information about paintings. We tried in different room but they simply don't work. AC in our room was not working properly, so ended up sleeping with open window. The prices of mini bar and restaurant are really steep. The fine dining area is open on the weekends which was a bit of let down as we stayed there during the week.

We booked a room for two expecting one proper big bed, but instead got two single beds pushed together. It was very uncomfortable and kept separating during the night

This hotel is in a great location… convenient to good food, things to do, and a grocery store. The staff is fantastic… could not have asked for more kind and helpful people. The breakfast is sensational.

The only problem was the temperature in the room… It was so hot in the afternoon and evening when the sun was out (even with the curtains fully closed).
