Exceptional value and super friendly staff. Everyone was accommodating and helpful. Perfect location for events in the stadium, park and local rock club. Transportation by bus and tram nearby, and Uber/Bolt prices low to the city center. Shopping mall and grocery store close by as well. Excellent restaurant a few minutes' walk, next to the lake. Rooms quiet and clean. Bathrooms clean and in working order. Breakfast is really excellent, with large variety of quality fresh foods. Excellent restaurant meals available for lunch or early dinner (until 6pm). Beer and chips available during the day as well. Just a perfect quiet, out of the way place to chill out while in Katowice for a great price.

Beds are perfectly fine for a night's stay. But the mattresses are older and not in the best of shape, and for a longer stay they can be a bit uncomfortable.

Wonderful old school place, great service, great value. Area is very quiet, located near the stadium and a few steps from the beautiful Silesian Park and forest. Fabulous restaurant / brewery at the lake nearby, 5-minute walk. Shopping center about 15-minute walk, with tramline to city center (20 minutes on tram). All in all a great location for the stadium, park and local metal concerts. A bit far from everything else, but very reachable and a great value for the price. Breakfast was also excellent, large variety of food, and cold beer available.

Mattress was very soft, and slid around a bit. Bathroom door doesn't close. These issues can easily be fixed, so I hope they will do that. Everything else was great.

Perfect location for Stadion Slaski where I was attending an event. Decent sized single room, comfortable. Liked the availability of a decent coffee vending machine in the lobby.

Suburban setting with few restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was a little scanty for the price compared to other stays.

The location of the hote is great. It is located right near Silesian Park - one of the biggest urban parks in Europe. Also one of the best districts of Katowice (osiedle Tysiąclecia) is nearby. So the location is really good and calm and it is quite acceptable that you need around 30 min to commute to the city center. The hotel and stuff are nice (especially taking into account that it is quite affordable) and I'm going to stay there on my future trips.

Very spacious room in excellent location for a very reasonable price. Close to public transport, adjacent to largest park in the town. There is a cable car station right next to the hotel, which takes you directly to an amusement park.

For one star hotel everything was clean and space on rooms was enormous.

There isn't any fridge in room so that's a negative and nobody at reception is taking in english so we are lucky that Slovak and Polish language is so close and we understand each other.

The buffet breakfast was excellent. Mostly meat and cheese. The place is conveniently located: inside a park, very close to the ethnographic museum and to the Silesia Stadium. Katowice is a few minutes away by tram. Staff were very helpful. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Skaut Hotel, and I recommend it.

TV did not work, and staff could not do anything about it.

Friendly staff, clean room and comfortable bed. Great base to visit Europe's second largest park. I would recommend.
