We loved the peaceful surroundings of this property. The room was extremely spacious and had a nice outdoor seating area where one could just stare off into nature. The pool was quite welcoming after a long drive on a very warm day. Cold beverages were also available. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the evening we were there. We did have a lovely meal in a nearby village however. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Although our room was clean and tidy, the rest of the property (specifically the outdoor area) can do with some TLC. Painting is needed and a bit of TLC.

It is the most beautiful and tranquil place to relax and unwind. Elvas is very interesting to explore. Maria, Joaquin, Bia, and the rest of the team made you feel so extra special. We want to come back some day all the way from Colorado. Grape vines, orange trees, olive trees, and the most adorable dogs ever! And the beautiful sound of a Tawny Owl in the night. That we couldn’t stay longer

Great atmosphere; buildings, interior, garden, pool. Perfect to our taste. Highly recommended to those who like to relax in a beautiful classic environment. Very friendly host with a very friendly dog. Communication much appreciated.

All was very good. Just bad luck that they did not serve dinner the very day we visited the place. Would have loved to have dinner there.

A large rustic estate in a very secluded area. Very quiet, walk among the vineyards and take in the beautiful surroundings. Near Elvas, a very historic city with some serious forts. Being very near Spain it is said to be one of the most invaded cities in the world. Don't worry, no recent invasions. A very nice restaurant and a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended and we will go again.

Evening meal was excellent as was breakfast. The location and layout of the hotel and especially the views were superb.

Check out was a disaster. The computer system took ages to come alive and card payment was not working so luckily had enough cash to settle up. They were very apologetic.

The spacious, quiet bedroom and bathroom were very well equipped and comfortable. The bedroom also had an external seating area overlooking a lawn and gardens leading down to the swimming pool. The attention to detail within the bedroom such as the provision of bathrobes and slippers was exceptional.

Exceptional accommodations and grounds. Wonderful ambiance, beautifully decorated with Portuguese tradition. Very good breakfast and wonderful dinner at the restaurant. Convenient parking.

Since the weather was so warm our Suite seemed warm and stuffy at night. Also had a problem with the shower not draining well.

Lovely setting, very comfortable room, nice breakfast. Not in Elvas itself, but in the countryside a few miles from town. Very tranquil spot. Would happily go back. Very good value for money in the low season.

The owner's dogs are a nuisance if you're not a dog lover.

The place is gorgeous, masterfully renovated and decorated with great attention to detail. Each plant in the park and each piece of furniture is chosen with care and great taste. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant serves very good food prepared with care by the cook with local products. Swimming pool is beautiful and clean. All the owners and the staff were very nice and helpful. We had a brief relaxing stay and wished we had planned to stay longer.

Rooms are very clean , nice and comfortable, bed is super , breakfast good . We do not use other facilities

The lady who met us and made the check in / check out was very efficient , but too much businesslike for such relaxing environment and not smiling at all. we felt like unwelcome and distracting guests Breakfast starts at 08:30 (too late for travelers ) and all guests were in small breakfast room at the same time at 08:30 . It will be nice for early birds to prepare some basic breakfast in the evening on the day before .
