We had breakfeast and dinner at the hotel and both were amazing. The breakfeast had a good variety of things and was excelent, the bread from Alentejo truly is something! At dinner we tried the chicken in moscatel and it was beyond amazing! I totally recommend the chicken with moscatel! The lamb was also very good. The desserts were also amazing

We were told the pool was good and had been tested and could be used to bath although there was some winds in the days prior and it could be a bit dirty. Although we had this information we went just to check it but I am unsure if it really was usable to bath, was really very dirty. We ended up not using it.

Excellent location, 10min walk to historical center.Very charming family hotel where staff treats you with a smile and makes you feel welcome immediately. Reception and restaurant staff are proud of their hotel, their city and country and share this with you.Comfy rooms with a Alentejo touch. Restaurant food and wines were traditional and very tasty. Breakfast buffet with eggs on order taken care of by the owner , a classy gentlemen. My wife and I spent lots of our life’s travels in hotels. This one is special and we are looking forward to an excuse for coming back 💖

The wifi was very bumpy…

The hotel is beautifully decorated and well cared for. Breakfast was excellent, with scrambled eggs and lots of choice. The staff were unfailingly friendly and went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. We made good use of the pool to cool down after a day of sight seeing. The hotel restaurant served a wide variety of local specialities.

The staff is very friendly and the space is very clean. The breakfast is awesome. There were not many people, so we got to chill a bit in the pool. Is also very central, so you can go anywhere walking

The only reason I don't give them a 10 is because the walls are not soundproof and I could hear the guest in the next room snoring and the dog downstairs barking all night, so it was a bit difficult to fall asleep.

Traditional Alentejo decoration/being an historical building. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. Great location.

A little worn/needing maintenance at places (as anticipated in an historical building). Breakfast was fine, but could include a bigger variety and more regional products (although the freshly squeezed orange juice was a lovely surprise).

Very quaint and charming hotel. Location was good and staff very helpful and responsive. We appreciated being able to check in a little earlier and easy free car parking in open air hotel car park.

Wifi was not good, kept dropping out while in our room. It was a little better if we connected downstairs. The hot water in the room wasn’t very hot-only tepid.

Our room was spacious and well appointed. We love the breakfast, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff are friendly and helpful. And it’s only a short walk into the historic centre of Elvas.

It’s always a bit tricky to connect to the Wi-Fi.

The room was a good size, the bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

We asked a member of the cleaning staff to fill the shower gel in the shower but it did not happen. Fortunately, we had our own shower gel so not a major issue. We didn't call or speak to reception about this.

The breakfast room is exceptional it has an olive tree in the middle of the room surounded by glass it was a magnificent idea it decorates the room and preserved an olive tree. Breakfast was excelente especialy the eggs cooked by the owner himself.

It was lovely to find so much history still maintained in the building and the staff were justly proud of this. We understand this was the first Pousada in Portugal but now now longer classified as one. Everyone couldn’t have been more helpful.

It was a bit of a walk to the old walled city but not too bad. The restaurant in the hotel wasn’t open on Monday.
