Facilities were excellent - everything you need. Spacious rooms, relatively quiet area. Helpful cleaning staff. Once I got used to the system of using the phone for door openings it was excellent. Pay no attention to the bad reviews, we had a good stay with none of the problems described. All the photos on the website were accurate.

We had another couple with us who had the apartment upstairs and they never received the message with the door codes. Luckily the cleaning lady was there when we arrived and was able to confirm them and give them the code. They then had no more issues and their flat had amazing views but steep stairs.

This apartment is well located in Elvas. The building has been newly renovated, and the apartments are well configured and very modern. We were on the top floor in The Aquedut (spelling?) apartment. It’s 2 flights up, but it would be worth it. It has a terrace on the roof of the building which would be terrific in good weather. Parking inside the city is essentially impossible, so all parking encircles the old city. This apartment is within easy walking distance to 3 large parking areas.

The climb up the stairs may be difficult. You may want to investigate on what floor your requested apartment is.

Sometimes the bathroom smells like sewage. Be careful on using you car to leave luggage on front door. We have a 5 meter long car, it was a problem taking it from there. The staff informed it on the welcome WhatsApp message, but we came in advance and thought leaving the car near the accommodations... bad decision!

The Bastion Hotel is a fabulous little gem of a place to stay in the center of Elvas!!! Very comfortable, modern, and clean. The bathroom was spacious and inviting, the bed unusually comfortable - a huge plus!! Plenty of wardrobe space, a little kitchenette, with coffee maker, water boiler and a fridge. The room was very charming: Each room has a different theme: mine was “Cortiça” - ‘cork’, a theme which ran throughout the cozy space. Luis was always very quick to reply and very helpful. I’d highly recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the fabulous town of Elvas. I’ll be returning without a doubt.

This is a GREAT apartment in a wonderful location. It is close to everything in a wonderful small town. The pizza place next door is great as is the pastry shop just down the street. You can walk to virtually anything. The hosts will do whatever they can to help you.

Breakfast, cleanliness and overall room display - very well decorated and comfortable.

If you have reduced mobility, I wouldn't recommend staying here, as the way to reach the location is very hilly, and there are no elevators inside the building.

Likes: very comfortable bed. Clean and fresh. Nice small kitchen. Great bathroom. Daily cleaning was included. Dislikes: no furniture on the terrace.

Lovely place. Modern and clean. We only stayed one night, it's a shame we weren't staying there longer. Really enjoyed it, especially the bed which was big and very comfy.

Beautiful, large apartment with an amazing breakfast basket delivered to your door. The provided instruction for arrival and parking that were easy to follow.

I wish there was furniture on the terrace.

We liked the clean lines and contemporary decoration of the apartment, with some local and regional details of Elvas and the Alentejo region. Staff was super nice and helpful. We loved our stay, even short, we were able to enjoy and relax to the most.

The apartment has no parking lot.
