Its location. Very easy to get around. It was clean. Train station down the road to get to Cascais, which was buzzing, and beyond. Some lovely restaurants and bars to eat and drink at. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool area was clean and tidy and more than enough beds. Breakfast was nice, the pastries were scrumptious. If they’d kept the lid on the bacon & scrambled eggs it would have been hot. We stayed in a group of 10 of us and had a blast!

It does need a bit of a re-vamp as it’s very tired looking. The pool is definitely in need of a good sorting out. There’s also no bar in the evening which is a shame, as it meant we couldn’t come back for a night cap and chat after our nights out.

The room was spacious with agreat view of the ocean. The reception staff was kind, helpful and professional.The room was spotless and clean, it was cleaned every day from a labor young lady. Iara who was responsible alone for the tasty and quite rich breakfast and she helped us a lot with our 2 kids during breakfast. She did an amazing job preparing the breakfast, though we think this was a lot for just one employee. She should have at least one assistant to handle the breakfast.

The outdoor pool, although nice, it should be heated and cleaned thoroughly.

We were very satisfied with our week long stay in the Amazonia Estoril. The location is very good. It is located in a very quiet safe residential area and yet is only a 6 minute walk to the train station at Estoril and approximately a 30 minute stroll into Cascais. We booked a studio which was spotless and the daily housekeeping was excellent. I do not understand the poor reviews as this certainly does not reflect our experience. I agree the property is a little 'tired' in places but on balance this was more than tolerable and we found the Amazonia very good value for money. I would have no hesitation in staying in the Amazonia again.

The ridge on the floor into the bathroom where there was a sliding door. The door wasn’t attached to the floor. This made for a dangerous situation as the door wasn’t handle slot was lo and as you touched it the door would sway into the main room. The reason for my delayed response for my review is that I experienced a very nasty fall due to the bathroom entrance and door. The ridge = a 10 / 12 cm difference in floor level, higher in the bathroom.

Large clean bedroom and en-suite in a great location. 5 min walk to the beautiful sandy beach, boardwalk to Cascais which takes about 25 mins and well worth the walk to wonderful restaurants. The hotel has a great sunny deck and pool with plenty of sun loungers, large breakfast with many options and wonderful friendly staff. We were even leant a parasol for the beach.

My friend and I were a last-minute booking, having been let down in Lisbon. The hotel and staff were excellent and so helpful and welcoming. It was an ideal location so close to the beach, with lovely grounds and rooms and we had a balcony. We would definitely stay again if we had the opportunity.

It would have been good to have a kettle in the room, but this did not detract from our overall experience.

Everything! It’s a unique building and everything about it is calm. Beautiful pool area, lovely reception. Amazing photos on walls. Loved the studio we stayed in. Very comfortable beds, spotless room (cleaned every day) , great shower. Breakfast was included and was delicious- eggs, bacon, pastries, fresh fruit, lovely coffee.

Breakfast was fresh with a good selection of options ranging from eggs and bacon to continental meats and cheese. We loved the room and the sea view. The hotel is quiet and well kept and the housekeeping staff do a very thorough job each day. The hotel is walking distance from the beach and about 30mins walk from Cascais. The location is great! The pool and lounge area is small but very quiet and well kept. We spent two days by the pool and had no problems getting sun beds. The hotel also provides complementary towels for the pool area each day. There is ample free parking. Again, we had no problems getting a parking space each day.

Some of the morning staff are quite noisy and we got woken up several mornings, which was a little disappointing since the hotel is generally very quiet. There is no bar or beverage service during the day time, which would have been a plus.

Location was great easy to get to sintra caiscai And Lisbon by train And quiet when you get back from a day out Hotel needs some maintenance carried out mainly around pool area( decking) and some rooms would benefit from some drawer units as there wasn't any where to put clothes so had to leave them in suitcases but overall a very nice hotel, would definitely stay here again

It is a charming small hotel, very well located close to the Estoril train station and the beach (~5 min walk). It could need some renovation, but the small stains etc didn't bother us. The room was spacious with nice littke balcony, and the breakfast was good.

The bath room could be renovated, and the shower was unpractical.
