Great location. I wanted to visit the thermal spa and there is a sort of tunnel between the hotel and the spa, right next door. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Hotel was beautiful, and they had an elevator, which I needed because of a leg injury. This town is also a little gem. . Loved filling my water bottles with the healing Luso water, along with the locals, who brought large jugs to the fountain in the village center. Also loved walking in the magical Buçaco Forest that is very close by. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful room with balcony, tastefully renovated historical buiding by Cassiano Branco, excellent location, helpful staff, wonderful pool, nice places to see in the woods and very nice roads if you like driving

Some of the other guests were a little too loud and unpleasant in the common areas (pool, breakfast), breakfast options were not great, difficult to park inside the hotel grounds, but there is plenty of public places close by, acess denied to the jumping boards of the pool was dissapointing.

An old classic, where different generations have stayed throughout decades. Despite the sumptuous facade look from the old regime, the interior was all renovated, and the rooms are quite nice and comfortable.

Some bathrooms are in need of urgent renovation (although I must say I was promptly offered a better room, as soon as a problem emerged in mine). Breakfast could have better and healthier options.

Indoor pool was nice. Breakfast is very good. Rooms nice and comfortable.

The restaurants around were full, better book couple days in advance (or go further with a car). Differently to breakfast, dinner at the hotel was not great. Sadly outdoor pool was under maintenance.

Strict rules re swimming pool which we adhered to, incurring expense re swimming caps and hiring pool towels but rules were ignored by others and there seemed to be no enforcement.

We liked the breakfast, the dinner, the indoor pool was lovely and warm. The hotel and the room was very clean, the staff were nice and smiley...

The weather wasn't good, but that wasn't the hotel's fault!!! 😀

Great spa hotel with old world charm. Silent and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Special thanks to the gentleman at the reception to help us with our room requirements and charging our car. We liked the hotel so much that we stayed an extra day. Food was great too. Next to the thermal spa which was awesome too.

This was my second visit, a perfect hotel for a visit to the spa, with its own indoor and outdoor pool. Rooms are good, very comfortable and a good price for the facilities offered.

Amazing surroundings, Mata do Bussaco and Thermal de Luso

We couldn’t book any massage or activities in the Thermal Spa. It was full booked and Sundays and Mondays it is closed.
