The hotel is located in a beautiful, idyllic area of natural surroundings! The hotel is of a high standard. The rooms are wonderful and extremely clean. There is free and secure private parking. The rooms on the first floor offer amazing views.

The limited time for lunch or dinner left us with a bad impression. On top of that, we weren't allowed to sit down for a drink on the restaurant's lovely terrace. This meant that we couldn't enjoy a drink or anything else during dinner. Overall, the time allotted for dinner was quite limited. There were also no other places offering alternative food or dining options, except in the town of Coibra, which is about 35 km from the hotel. Breakfast was nothing special, although the quality was good. The staff were very polite and friendly, but I got the feeling that they were operating below standard, like a monastery.

the conchada is in a lovely location, quiet countryside ,the rooms overlook the river. room adequate but basic facilities. plenty of choice at breakfast, e.g fruit, yoghurt, croissant ,breads , cold meats cheese etc,, fine for me but if you are a fan of hot english breakfast the choice was more limited( precooked fried and scrambled eggs and sausage)

I was travelling solo on this occasion but had i been travelling as a couple would prefer a bigger bed. Also would like coffee/tea making facility in the room, although this is often not provided in Portugal.

The property is small and quiet and sat on the side of the river which is very picturesque. Parking is good and there is a nice little garden. The room was a good size. The food at dinner was amazing; highly recommend the duck.

The bathroom smelt strongly of damp even with the window open and the fan on and we had to keep the door closed or the room would smell too. There is no safe. The pillows aren’t that comfortable. Breakfast is very limited and if you’re not in there early enough, even more limited.

Enjoyed the remote location. Enjoyed the bath in the Suite room. Sunset was beautiful and Hotel has a restaurant that has good food options too. Breakfast was good enough, since it was included in the stay. Had a small assortment of bakery goods, had also a crepe machine, which I wasn't eager to personally use. Juices from concentrated solutions and hot drinks. Workers seemed fairly nice. They informed us they have a pool and a spa available to guests, you must book with reception prior to using.

Bath could have had a better mechanism for drainage. Was difficult to open even with the lever. Had to pry open a couple hours after the bath. Sensors on the jacuzzi aspect are very sensitive. Humidity built up around 4 in the morning and woke us up because it activated the jacuzzi function of our bath due to the condensation happening there. I also wish they cleaned the room more before our arrival. Bed was good but i wish they had vaccumed the sofa, it had hairs. Bathroom was ok but could have also rinsed the bath too. Nevertheless I enjoyed the stay, just keep and eye for sudden wakeup calls in the middle of the night or leave the extractor running in the bathroom when you're done using it.

The location of the hotel right on the river, boasting amazing views all around. The large room Windows and the balcony overlooking the river. Staff was genuinely nice and warm, and attentive, quick to respond. Everyday we had a complimentary large bottle of water in the room. The pool is great to catch some sun, swim and relax. The restaurant is very good. One of the evenings it was warm enough, so we had di ner outside, overlooking the river. It's priceless.

We would have liked a big bed, instead of two individual beds.

Although the Hotel itself is great, the exceptional part for me was the location itself. It was amazing to be hosted on a bungalow just by the beautiful river. The staff are all very nice. The restaurant is pretty good too. Both the breakfast and lunch/dinner.

The bungalow is great, and it's very cozy, but in colder days it's less comfortable if you want to use the spa for example, because you have yo go through the outside, into the main building.

Almost everything about this place was amazing. A great restaurant with reasonable pricing was a surprise. The room overlooked the river and views from your private balcony were fantastic out in the country and very relaxing. The spa was generally good with a few signs of wear and tear

When we arrived we had to go looking for someone to check us in, even though they were aware of our approximate arrival time. Finally a kitchen staff was found out back and went to get the front desk person who was in some other part of the building. 20-30 minutes later.

The hotel is located in a fabulous location - by the river with a view of the mountains. The hotel rooms were classic, the same as in most other places, but the greatest value of the rooms is that they have their own balconies where you can enjoy wine and the sounds of nature and the river in the evening. Very delicious food in the restaurant, large portions. We were also pleasantly surprised by the breakfast options. I would definitely like to come back here someday.

The setting was great, bungalow accommodation had a nice deck at the water's edge. Breakfast was really good, wonderful views from dining room. Staff was all very friendly and welcoming.

The bungalow had a musty smell throughout our 2 night stay (despite using the minisplit unit to dehumidify). Also, the window in the bathroom wouldn't stay open to allow for extra venting when showering.

We liked everything. Never been to this area or hotel before, so it was a stab in the dark. We stayed 4 nights Room had a super views of the Mondego river. Clean and up to date. Very quiet location. Meals were excellent. Head waiter couldn't do enough for us. Not only with the food but information about where to visit. Loved the pool. Being a small hotel, most of the time we had it to ourselves. Room has a fridge and safe. River trips were available but we didn't take one. You can go 2ks either way from the hotel and there isn't another building, just the views.

To be honest it is almost impossible to pick holes in this hotel. We would recommend it to anyone. Perhaps a kettle in the room would be nice, but not essential. That's it.
